Better than working with a probably-not-a-licensed-therapist Emma Frost.

Or the actual licensed therapists Moonstone and Doc Sampson
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRandom thought After read the last issue of Avengers I think Red Widows should just change her name to Edgelord.

Why is Jen red? I thought that only happened if you mixed Gamma and Cosmic rays.
×2
The Shiar therapist that treated Nova was good.

I think cause Red Room/Russia = Red?
What exactly is going on here?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Aaron thought Russia=Red and made She-Hulk Red, logic be damned.
I mean, they were doing a lot of shit to her.
Like bleaching her fucking hair blonde.
It wouldn't be too much of a surprise if they pumped her full of cosmic radiation.
Its likely that there will be more details in the succeeding issues when the Avengers try to figure out how to undo it all.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRussians and cosmic radiation, huh? If that's true, and Aaron isn't just throwing established canon out the window, maybe the Red Ghost will be involved. (Anyone remember him?)
Trimming the hedges, one trope at a time.Well he was killed by Stevil but that never keeps anyone down in comics
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPosted over the DC thread, so I'll post here Top 50 estimates from July came out with X-Men #1 unsurprisingly charting at the top. Moon Knight at #2 which is a pleasant surprise and Sinister War #1 and Extreme Carnage #1 also in the top 10.
Other things is Avengers looks like it got a boost coming out of Heroes Reborn. That Clone Saga arc gave Miles' book a nice shot in the arm. Also the Annuals for the Infinite Destinies storyline looks to be doing good.
It's also weird that Aaron is writing the Winter Guard as villains.
I am unfamiliar with those guys, what are they exactly?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Russia’s superteam. Usually sympathetic (even were in the Soviet era IIRC) but I guess they do work for Putin technically.
It’s less that they’re villains (except for Red Widow) and more that they’re antagonists. They stand against the Avengers. Of course they weren’t used enough really to establish that and their big story was kidnapping She Hulk (in fairness after she and Namor Phoenix wrecked Moscow)
Crimson Dynamo and Ursa Major were especially supposed to be sympathetic but both were screwed over by Red Widow

And in Guardians of the Galaxy annual...
I am Majestar. Prince of Muscula and defender of the secrets of Castle Noblor. This is chewie... my fearless friend. Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said... By the power of Noblor!
I have the Power! Chewie became the Mighty Biceptor, and I became the Prince of Power, the most powerful man in the universe. Only a few others share this secret... Our friends: Answeros, Abdomina and Legday. Together we defend Castle Noblor from the evil forces of Rapskullion!
EEE-HEE-HEE!
If you read those words and no catchy song comes to your mind... shame on you! Thing is, Hercules and the Prince of Power shared a bar brawl where the blonde guy explained his origin story... a hilarious parody of He Man.
Honestly between the show getting cancelled and the monthly sales not being that spectacular, I was surprised that Runaways made it past the Covid Hiatus.
Well credit at least, 38 issues is far longer than anyone expected.
Shame it couldn't make it to an even 40.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah that’s a shame
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's a textless preview page but just looking at it you can tell this is another D Ceased situation where Tom Taylor is kind of playing with continuity to go with is own status quo.
Peter and MJ are married and have a daughter, both Miles and Gwen are in the main universe, Vision and Wanda are seemingly still together, the X-Men are back at their mansion.
Hey look Apocalypse.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's almost like Taylor knows what the fans want or something.
Truly, Tom Taylor is the GOAT.
Eh, some of those are a bit too much “reversion to the classics = good” for me to want them in the main universe but I definitely get the appeal.
The Mariko Tamaki run was too short and the “my trauma is cured because we’re out of issues” was too sudden for me personally
Aaron hasn’t handled the execution super well but the concept that Jen is still dealing with trauma is fine. It shouldn’t just switch off
And Jen has been explicitly working on it in Aaron’s run, working with probably not a licensed therapist T’Challa
