Unrelated question: have he Marvel characters ever been to an in-universe con? Like, not a promotional event but instead something like "The X-Men have to track down Arcade at the Empire City Comic Con!" Or something.
The Guardians of the galaxy went to a space con in space once
The Collector was there
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe had to Collect all those hot new exclusives.
Oh God! Natural light!I know Dazzler and Iron Man both fought villains at Comic-Cons in the '80s, and I'm pretty sure there are others I'm forgetting, too.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. The Collector is always at his best when he intersects weirdo comic collector and phenomenal cosmic power
He is a cosmic heavyweight who also complains about things being mint in box and that’s beautiful

Can anyone tell me why and how Deadpool breaks the fourth wall? Is there a thematic reason behind the "madness"? Does Deadpool really "break" the fourth wall?
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."It started during the classic Kelly and Mc Guinness run of the late '90s. It just kinda started happening at one point. Nothing major, just little comments. When Priest took over, he ratcheted up the fourth-wall-breaking. Priest kicked his run off by making fun of his own history of being brought onto failing titles, and the first issue had Deadpool outright say, "There is a man. At a typewriter." A recurring phrase for a while.
And from there, it became a major character trait. One that different writers use to different degrees, but something that Deadpool did.
For the most part, his fourth-wall-breaking is limited to just making comments. Only rarely does he do things like move between panels, the way Gwenpool did (or the way She-Hulk did, back in the day).
I literally just started re-reading Priest's Deadpool run a couple days ago.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. It's Loki's fault◊ from the time he convinced Deadpool he was his father to make him go after Thor. When Deadpool failed to beat Thor, Loki cursed him with the face of Tom Cruise and made it completely indestructible until he apologized to his father, which he did to his real father by accident. (Loki also knows he's in a comic book, incidentally.)
The Protomen enhanced my life.New Black Widow series, by Jen and Sylvia Soska and pencils by Flaviano. If you don't know, the Soska sisters are twins and they do a lot of horror film production/writing. And they were the hosts of Hellevator.
Champions is being relaunched (again) but has the same writer and it looks like it's expanding to encompass more of Marvel's young heroes.
This is technically the first time Champions is relaunching. When Jim Zub originally took over, the numbering continued from where Waid left off.
So did legacy numbering just not be a thing in the end?
I thought listing two issue numbers; one in terms of the current writer's run, and one in terms of the overall title's history was smart.
I want to say that was something they announced they would be doing after Zub had picked up from where Waid left off.
The upcoming got team by cates looks really op. So far we have moondragon, beta Ray Bill, gladiator, and cosmic ghost rider. And some of the other silloutes look like nova, dark hawk, silver surfer, Phylla, groot, Adam warlock, and star lord
Which Nova?
I'd be glad if everyone's favourite came back.
We all need a little Dick RICHARD RIDER in our lives.
It's probably rich since Sam isn't nova anymore thanks to adsit
the shield agent from deadpool's run. before shield fell he went to space and reformed the novas. when the champions went into space, he took sam s helmet said it belonged to the corps and sent the champions back to earth
Oh.
I actually do remember seeing that on Scans Daily.
Sucks for Sam.
Ah well. Time for the return of Dick RICHARD Rider.
Hell, bring back the New Warriors again. Both Night Thrasher and Namorita are back (Nita's been back for a while I believe, though not much came of it yet), and the others are alive. Lets have a reunion of the classic line-up.
One Strip! One Strip!Well once they finally air the New Warriors series, it’ll probably get a companion comic. And since Microbe is alive on that show, maybe he’ll get a resurrection.
I did like the previous New Warriors run that repped all of Marvel’s “species.” In my eyes, that’s how an Uncanny Avengers team should work.
So a Human, an Asgardian, an Inhuman, and a Mutant?
Might need a Kree, a Skrull, and maybe a Shi'ar.
Gonna need a pretty big bar too.
One Strip! One Strip!Good Point, Might also need a Talking Animal as well.
