You're entitled to your opinion and honestly it might be correct. But just in general, it doesn't hurt anyone to refer to someone by their preferred name or gender. Even if they are faking for whatever reason, it doesn't mean that they've won one over you. And if they're not, then you're hurting someone for no reason. There's no harm in believing them.
... now, I'd make an argument that I'd call most females named Christen or Christina "Chris" anyway, but meh. It's not like we have character limits here so what's the point of shortening?

A couple weeks before this, his house in Japan got robbed and 90% of his wife Marzia's valuables were stolen.
