He had a similarly lengthy absence not long before. He has been around very little for this and while he apparently did say he had some real life stuff to deal with on occasion by this point I don't think it actually matters. He's not here and he was barely here to begin with. While the P5 is technically functioning on four members now and was limping along on three before, if he isn't here then we really need to think about replacing.

[up] I have to agree with this. Or maybe not replacing, but bringing in an additional member. If you keep the same three votes=cut/save rule, would having six people active (presuming Catalogue is okay and comes back) really be a problem?

Ultimately, that's up to the staff to decide. Best not discuss it here.

Did word ever get passed down on what was up with the Rape tropes? I know most of them are back, but I'm kind of curious as to know what the resolution ended up being.

If I recall, it was that now none of them are allowed to have Google ads on them.

We've done that previously, to no effect. That's actually what caused the second google incident: someone went to google and complained about a page that did not have google ads.

Also, in a completely unrelated note, but can one of the mods remove Martello's P5 badge?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower_and_Snake I know it's TECHNICALLY porn, but I find the films unique use of tropes to be compelling, so I kinda wanna make a page on it.

As I have said elsewhere, I don't think it's within our given powers to preemptively censor things. If they are found to potentially violate our content policies, then they can go through the same procedure as any other page.

If you know something is porn, then you should be able to tell whether you can make a page on it even without the P5.

Ah, you want me to talk on Ironwood? It's been a while since I read it, first issue is very porny, but the plot kicks in quickly and while there's sex in every issue, after the first one it tends to feel a little shoehorned. The author cares more about the plot and there's focus on that and the action, there's just sex and nudity in a fantasy comic. There is no paedopandering.

Any other questions?

Not really. Thanks. If there's less sex in later volumes, it's probably OK.

Like I said, it's not that bad. The problem with western comic books is that anything with any genitalia at all (this includes just bare breasts) is classified as "Pornographic" thanks to the idea that comics are only for children. They're not pure porn by our standards, but they are rated R.

Oh, there's still sex in them. NC-17 isn't even the same thing as porn. And I am not going to go into a long rant about movie ratings and how they up the ratings on anything that doesn't depict sex as violent rape...

Yeah, they're probably NC-17 because they show consensual sex and healthy relationships and you can only get away with having sex in R rated media if it's violent rape, and the woman isn't shown as enjoying it.

It is. This Film Is Not Yet Rated explains it well, but I don't think that their standards are wiki standards. Real porn isn't rated at all. Most NC-17 stuff isn't porn. It's just stuff that makes conservatives uncomfortable. You know, things like homosexuals having sex at all. Women enjoying sex. Any sex scene that doesn't put the man in charge. Any sex scene that shows a healthy sex life and not just deviants...

So about Sengoku Rance's decision. VideoGame.Sengoku Rance is to be redirected to Alice Soft. Should all the other sub-pages be cutlisted?

Folks, please pay attention to which page you are redirecting something. The page is AliceSoft not Alice Soft

[up] Thanks for catching that; both redirects for Sengoku Rance now point to the Creator page.

On that note, Rance Quest probably needs to be the next thing reviewed, for completeness' sake.
