The Place for Purging Porn and Pedo-Pandering (AKA P5 flag evaluations)

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but where can I find our site's content policy regarding intense violence? Checked the announcement link early in the topic and couldn't find anything regarding that. Reason I ask is because I'm a bit paranoid about Knight Templar esque flagging of works due to violent content being classifed as guru. Where do we draw the line between merely being very violent, gorn, and guru? My concerns lie with works like Higurashi and Umineko. Are works like that safe?

Excessive violence itself is not grounds for cutting. Pornographic violence is.

Yes, they are safe. P5's purpose is purging pornography and pedo-pandering. Violence does not play into things unless the violence is sexualized.

Guro. And as far as I know, we're only getting rid of things for violence if they're very obviously sexualized guro, and nothing else.

Just something being gory, even to the point of gorn, isn't grounds to cut.

We voted to keep Cupcakes. I feel like that's fairly emblematic of our stance on violence.

Update: Oh for fuck's sake, a grade school brat asks a high schooler "You don't get turned on by little sister maids?" Not leaving a good first impression. Nor is focusing on an abnormally developed grade schooler's breasts. Nor is having the aforementioned brat flip everyone's skirt. Nor is having another one deliberately lift her own skirt at the high schooler. Nor is having a panty shot from this girl who, contrary to her appearance, is older than the high schooler.

Update the second: Really, a shower scene? Complete with groping, and bare-minimum amount of suds over their nipples? Someone please tell me this is just a bad dream induced by my anti-malaria meds.

Update the third: Way to round out the episodes with crotch shots of grade school girls. Good lord. I need a break from this already.

Don't know if there's much progress to be made on a lot of the stalled discussions. With Martello not yet replaced and the Cat MIA again, P5 is essentially operating with 3 members.

I've mostly been focusing on the last page (works that have been on the queue the longest), but now that there are a few more on the previous pages that have two votes I will try to review those over the course of the week.

Well, I hope we can finally get a new member soon. Hopefully, things could go a bit quicker.

Yeah, things do move a bit slower when we're short-staffed, simply because only having three active members means that every work has to be reviewed by every panel member in order to be cleared off the queue, and if there's any disagreement it won't move.

It's not a big deal, though, and I certainly can understand both Catalogue being busy (I haven't been able to review as many works as I would like for similar reasons... sometimes it can take a few days to properly review works that I feel need it), and the mods wanting to take their time picking a good candidate for the fifth slot. It won't hurt for the work pages in question to sit for a while until we get everything sorted out.

I wonder if the guy who said he was going to look at Tales Of MU is lost in his Archive Binge...

I think we decided that Unlucky Busty Girl was a TRS issue as opposed to a P5 issue, though I could be getting that mixed up with something else. It doesn't seem like it was cut for P5 related reasons, so this isn't the right channel to decide whether it should be brought back.

Yeah, looking at the links for it in the PPPPP thread, it seems like the consensus was that it should be TRS'd to be brought back (if appropriate) instead of P5'd.

Instead of zapping it, I'm inclined to resolve it from the queue with "Not a P5 issue, resolve in Trope Repair Shop". Anyone opposed to that?

Anyway, as for stuff up for review, the sooner Da Capo and Sekien no Inganock get their final angel heads the better. Both are harmless.

Inu X Boku SS can get a pass. I've read it an aside from the female lead being a short adult who gets no fanservice, there's nothing there. She's a short Asian woman, like millions of other short Asian women. She looks older from the front.
