The Toonami Thread

A series that did get screwed over for a long time was Jo Jo (because of copyright issues) as shown by how it went from unknown to massively well known as soon as they got around that issue. Or Saint Seiya, which is really popular in non-English speaking countries.

But One Piece would just never have gotten really popular in the west because of the artstyle. It's the major hurdle, and practically every single person I've talked to about it has cited it as the reason they don't watch/read it - including me (I was hesitant at first). It's the most comedic of any of the major shonen series but it still has a lot of sex stuff that means you can't market it to children in western countries (which I'm damn sure is the reason that 4kids was extremely reluctant about dubbing it), so it doesn't fit for basically any demographic.

Add on to this that it has the outright worst anime adaptation of any major shonen...

I mean, it was already hardly their most popular show, seeing how far back its timeslot was.

Answer: it appears the crew is at SDCC and they're gonna make this week's Pre-Flight a livestream of the panel and then The Pillows concert, all starting tonight at 10:15 PM EST. ... which doesn't makes sense, considering they, we, I, and you, know Toonami starts 15 minutes after that.

@Guy 1 Same. I'm actually a fan of the many different styles of combat that can be brought to the table in Dragonball. This small arc is actually one of my favorites in DBS.

Call all the Fighter Z moves you see here.

Shame Hit is among only the small handful of characters that brings their own shit.

Everyone else just fights the same.
