Yes. We should all just let that topic die.
Well, my hopes for Hotel Transylvania are upped quite a bit now! I had BETTER be good enough for me to understand why Sony would offer Genndy a long-term contract before it's released in theaters!

This just in everybody: animation under Sony Animation Imageworks will no longer be made in the US, because it's all being moved to Vancouver where the pay is cheaper, rates are a joke, and everyone can apply for unions if they're so inclined! Have fun with your out-sourced, nomadic existence, boys and girls! If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna F*** **** **** * *F**F*F(**** ****** F*F*F**F*F*F****!!!!!!
So? They're a business. They can do that if they want.
Looking for some stories? That's more Americans out of work and more Americans with an excuse to act like anarchists, and for justified reasons, if they fail to find work in this nation and have no money and other required resources to go where the work actually is. That, and it means the movies from this regime are likely to get shittier and shittier, too.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Oh boy, I can't wait for Johnny Test: The Motion Picture!
I bet you're joking - but I know FOR A FUCKING FACT that's what we can look forward to someday from shit decision making and job robbery from innocent Americans everywhere who have an excuse to become anarchists (who can't go abroad and find work elsewhere) now like this.
To all Americans who feel robbed by this corporate fascism, you have my condolences. Now take your sorrow and turn it into anger for the greater good.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.This is bad news for anyone raised and trained til college to find work in animation, who can't afford to move or live in a decent home.
Okay, now I think you're being melodramatic.
Yes it sends a bad precedent, but it's just one company.
Ah. That is rather troubling, then.

There are many others doing the same thing.
There's also the fact that Canada is mostly hated for their animation in general, as well - that's a lot more potential to keep work here and of quality standards higher than that gone as well... There is not enough outrage towards this and it makes me sick to see more and more people, whom are NOT FIGHTING BACK against corporate fascism like this, WHEN THEY HAVE EVERY REASON TO.
I apologize if I sound like an asshole, but shit like this makes me so damn angry...

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.If you guys are that mad, then start a petition or something instead of bitching about it on a website they'll never look at.
Looking for some stories?> Thinking online petitions ever work any better than online bitching, either.
The forces of market.
Okay then. Anybody got any money to start up on that good shit, then? Just saying.....
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Abbi Jacobson is voicing Kate Mitchell in The Mitchells Vs The Machines. The movie comes out September 18.
Huh, I didn't even know this thread existed...
Given how Sony Animation rebounded like crazy going from The Emoji Movie to Into the Spider-Verse, let's make an effort to keep this thread from getting locked, sound good?
How much longer should we wait for a trailer on TMvTM?

I'd say on march, most likely.
Wake me up at your own risk.Update: apparently The Mitchells vs. The Machines is now called Connected.
What is it with everyone and one-worded titles?
According to the Entertainment Weekly article:
Yep, I'm sold now.
You mean like Transformers and Bumblebee?
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532No, like Tangled, Frozen, Home.
I kinda liked The Mitchells vs. The Machines.
The Samurai Jack movie is not happening. Genndy left the company that owns the rights, its been in Development Hell and back too many times to count, its pretty much dead in the dirt at this point. The only way I can see this movie happening is, if in 10 years, theres a big 2000's nostalgia boom and whatever company who owns the license to the series at the time wants to reboot it and get some geek cred by getting the original creator on board, it gets popular enough for a trilogy where the final movie is what Genndy the finale movie to be.
