Revenge of Cooler,(Not to be confused with Return of Cooler.) can theoretically happen in the 3 years between the Frieza and Cell Saga, but I have no idea when Return can happen.
I guess like the OG Broly movie that isn't canon anymore, it could have taken place in the lead up to the Cell games?

Yeah, I'm going to pretend Cooler is canon, but only his first movie. Return of Cooler just isn't a good movie even if it fit into canon.

I like to think like Broly. The characters themselves exist like Turles, Wheelo, etc. But are off doing their own thing as the actual events of their films didnt happen.

Goku does suck at stopping evil if they aren't directly affecting him so it's par for the course if those guys exist but just made the smart decision of not messing with Goku.

Return of Cooler was my first exposure to Dragonball, so it's always going to hold a special place in my heart, despite its flaws.
I wouldn't be here now if I hadn't watched that movie all those years ago (and it was in Raw Japanese, so I had zero clue what was going on at the time).

Question, how old are the two female Saiyans, and Cabba?
Maybe Saiyans are shorter but their design makes them look like early to mid teens. Trunks and Goten are about 7-8 ish at this point and look the part.

Shame Toriyama is dead, he could have given Cooler a "blessing".
Goku was 15 during the King Piccolo Saga in Dragon Ball but still looked basically the same as he did when he was 11/12 (art evolution aside). Saiyan heights are weird.
I do think Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale are supposed to be on the younger side, though. Maybe right around that 15-18 range. But I haven't researched it, so grains of salt.

Toriyama didn't really seem interested in expanding the lore of Frieza's family or his race.
We don't know anything about his rise to power, what his species is called, or if his race has women.
Maybe Toyotarou could expand on details regarding Frieza's family and race if he wants. I just want a NAME for Frieza's race. 
15 sounds about right. I don't think they are adults at all.

Goku did slowly grow over the course of the first half of Dragon Ball, it just kinda got over-shadowed by his growth spurt at 19 years old. Even then though, he was still shorter than Yamcha and Tien at that age.

Okay, that's Vegeta vs Cabba done.
I expected Vegeta's beatdown of him to be more brutal when he was acting as Saiyan Saga Vegeta, but decent enough animation. I'm reminded of how Vegeta treats Tarble TBH.
Solid episode, tho nothing is beating the creativity and awe I got from Piccolo vs Frost. They need to spice up the action a bit more, because that fight was amazing.

I thought Vegeta vs. Cabba was fine. But I'm conflicted on how little it really took to trigger Cabba to be angry enough to become a Super Saiyan. Obviously we have examples of characters who didn't need to get angry at all to do it, but for him they are taking the anger angle, so...
Well, maybe Cabba is just more thin-skinned then other anime characters. 
Long story short pretty sure the only original part of Xenoverse was Demigra.

Getting Super Saiyan used to be special, it took Frieza tormenting Goku and killing Krillin to turn Goku. Then it got less special the moment Vegeta threw a tantrum and achieved that form.
Now every Saiyan can do it(Except Pan for SOME REASON "COUGH COUGH sexist writers COUGH COUGH"), Goten and Trunks did it without realizing how special it's supposed to be.
So I get why the writers had Cabba be relatively easy to piss off to reach Super Saiyan but I also get the sense he hasn't really faced a personal conflict like Goku vs Frieza or even Goku vs Frieza so Cabba wouldn't really have the NEED to go Super Saiyan. I can assume that Cabba worked closely with Frost in those conflicts that Frost set up given Cabba's comments that the Saiyans worked close with Frost.
WAIT, I know that Dragon Ball Online established a LOT of the lore that Xenoverse would use, but Heroes provided lore too?

Online introduced the Time Breakers with Towa and Mira, then Xenoverse added Chronoa (though she was already an unknown entity in Online) and Demigra, and Heroes expanded upon that by introducing the Demon Realm Army, introducing a bunch of new demons such as Gravy, Putine, Salsa, Shroom, and Mechikabura. Later on, both Heroes and Xenoverse introduced Fu, who was originally going to be in Online before the game shut down. Being the son of Towa and Mira, Fu is practically a demonic mad scientist who's messing with the timeline for his own personal experiments.
It is interesting how the games have this non-connected, yet tangentially intertwined canon of sorts. Towa and Mira even show up on other games, such as Fusions and Kakarot.

Fu only appears as a baby in online right. His adult appearance comes from heroes and xenoverse

Indeed he was originally just a baby, but again, he was never fully implemented in the first place. Xenoverse introduced his teen form, and Heroes introduced his kid and adult forms, as well as reintroduced Baby Fu in the anime. His characterization between Xenoverse and Heroes is a bit muddy, but he's still a somewhat crazy time-manipulator either way.
Speaking of, the upcoming Xenoverse 2 DLC should actually start explaining what his experiments are actually for. Supposedly it has something to do with the new "Ultra Supervillain" forms Goku Black and Vegeta are getting, probably the crystals growing in their chests.

It's most likely that Toriyama told them that he was going to make Dende God of Earth, but either the filmmakers jumped the gun or Toriyama underestimated how long it would take to get to that plot development.
