38 wicks and 6 inbounds.

I admit that's largely my fault. First of all, it was dumb of me to say this shouldn't have any examples on the page. I was even thinking we could just limit it to "playing with" forms, but that might not even be necessary. So I say this should have examples on the page.

It also needs some entry pimping. I wish I could say I was daunted by the number of works I'd have to list... but I was just really reluctant due to how ticked I am at Marvel and DC (for personal reasons, no need to discuss them here). That, again, was still my fault for not making sure this had enough wicks.

So this needs help to make it grow, and even a rename if it comes to it.

I think just adding examples would really help this page. It might benefit from an example gathering run through YKTTW.

If we have to bump this back to ykttw, so be it. Now does that mean I remain the sponsor, since I was the first time?

No, anyone can take that over. I don't think it needs to cut and go back there. Just a note saying that it's collecting examples but the trope all ready exists.

I'm not sure the trope is even necessary, since Not Wearing Tights exists.

This trope should definitely be an "Aversions, subversions, and lampshadings only" trope, since the "played straight" version is so omnipresent. But I can't see many such examples that wouldn't also wind up in Not Wearing Tights.

"I'm not sure the trope is even necessary, since Not Wearing Tights exists."

That trope is not about averting tights. It's about averting the whole superhero image.

Plus even if it was, a trope is not rendered invalid just because a trope about the opposite exists.

Easy solution: Start adding examples and wicks.

[up]I'm asking for help on that. I stated so right in the OP.
