God I love this movie. Not the second one, though.

Screams 1, 2, 3 and/or 4. Praise, complaints, general conversation? Let's do this!

Scream 3 is, as they say, balls.

Or maybe that's too harsh.

I like the first two. Scream 4 I really enjoyed seeing twice in theaters, but it does not hold up for me on repeat viewings; it has myriad problems that become more apparent when you hold the film up to scrutiny.

Man I've been meaning to watch these films. I mean I cannot find the first film anywhere I can only find 2, 3 and obviously 4.

Please DVD shops don't make me torrent this.

It's amazing but I haven't read any good thing about the third one... The funny thing is, I kinda like it. Maybe it's just bad taste on my part, but I really love how over the top it goes with its self-awareness. This is like the first two but cranked Up To Eleven ... and I know that's the problem most people have with it.

It also helps that I'm a big fan of Wes Craven. Haven't seen the fourth one though. I have read some very opposite reviews, some seem to love it, others seem to agree upon the fact that it's the worst in the series. To be honest, from the outside, this one seems even more polarizing than 3...

Killing off Randy was a mistake!

Rule of diminishing returns with this franchise. First is witty and still holds up, others less so. Yet to see the fourth though.

I consider the first two Scream films to be some of the best comedies I've ever watched.

I do mean that as a compliment, mind you.

I freaking love these films, especially the first one. When it comes to the sequels, 2 was great, 3 was okay but crap compared to the other films, and 4 was pretty good. Those are my opinion's at least.

One of the few things I didn't like about the second one was that they killed off Randy. Funny thing is, one of the few things I actually liked about the third one was the video tape scene with Randy.

I love Scream 1 and Scream 2.

Scream 3 has gotten some undeserved relevance in that you could easily have Lance Henrikson as Harvey Weinstein. But, unfortunately, it's a really crappy movie that knows it's a crappy movie.

The 4th movie was great for attempts to reboot a franchise that has run its' course.

But Nev Campbell is still one of my favorite actresses for this series.

When I saw the original Scream, I thought Rose McGowan was the sexiest thing on Earth.

She was.

I will state, however, that Ghostface cheated in the opening. He didn't specify whether he was asking for the killer in Friday the 13th the movie or the franchise. So, trick question!

Though, since he WANTS to kill his victims, wouldn't the best idea to trip them up is give them a Morton's Fork where they're too terrified to ask a clarifying question. If they say 'Jason's Mother, Pamela', say they're wrong because Jason is the villain of the franchise as a whole. If they say Jason, call them on Jason not being the villain until the second film. Either way, you get to the slashing. And, if they DO ask for a clarifying question, scream at them to answer the question so they're too terrified to push harder.

Very true.

Not that they wouldn't kill her anyway. Stu and Billy were awful-awful people after all.

I will say it took me until this year to realize Billy Loomis is an homage to Halloween.

I remember reviews when this movie came out saying that the opening sequence with Drew Barrymore was just a note-perfect short film.

Still not sure why Henry Winkler got killed.

They felt that they needed an extra kill, which they wove into the narrative by having it be what got everyone away from the party.

They didn't come up with an in-universe reason for why he was targeted, though.

Well, they killed him because he's their Principal.

The point being their killing spree is that they are a bunch of school shooter type of psychos.

They're striking people they don't like.
