Double post. Finished the chapter where we get Morrigan, Demitri, as well as Kazuya and Jin. So that's it for the chapters I've done in the demo.

My timing is still off on a lot of things, and I can't quite string together combos like I used to. I still haven't gotten the hang of Mirage Cancels, and I can't quite do cross hits like I used to in the old game (the old game did have that right? Where if you hit someone while a solo or support unit is hitting them, they hover in the air?). It's gonna be a while before I can string together crazy combos like in the old days.

I think I'm gonna have to start trying more so I can gather up more cash. I gotta get better at this again.

If you're having trouble with timing your combos you could always give the practice room a round or two.

I've been doing that, and it's helping, but that will mean practicing with every different combination of pair, solo, and support units, and that's gonna be a bitch.

So I just finished chapter 4, and got Aty, as well as getting back Hiryu, Hotsuma, and Natsu.

It was weird though. I put Aty with Chris and Jill...and then failed to notice they weren't on the field at all until near the end of battle. I'm not sure why they weren't there, but they weren't I must have accidentally took them out of formation during that battle somehow.

Chapter 5 down.

Chun Li and Xiaoyu must be the only pair who aren't at least from the same company, along side Hotsuma and Strider are among the few pairs who aren't from the same company, being paired together more for their theme (anime chinese girls and ninjas respectively]].

Is Ulala involved? Then it's pretty much canon, although it wasn't really any less stupid in the Space Channel 5 games.

So, outside of using Crosses (which seem a little harder in this game) what's a good way to build up Cross points for upgrading attacks? I never seem to have enough.

Also trying to gather up more cash as well. I get pretty low while trying to get new armour and restock my healing items and the like.

I just realized that you can not only upgrade your solo units as well, but that all pair units have their own separate CP levels. I assumed they all had a shared gauge.

Also, it looks like everyone gets an extra skill slot at Level 10, and most characters are one or two levels away from that. I gotta get cracking on that.

One more thing. When you use the Exp increasing abilities, does it only apply for that particular round, or does it apply for the entire battle? I've been wondering about that for a while now.

Just for that round. You can check to see if it its still active in the next round by checking you units stats. The stat screen shows what buffs and passive abilities are currently active for that unit.

Cool. So then some of them do stack then?

Yep. Unlike the first game you can stack buffs. I think the most you get up to is a +200% buff. Its nuts.

Sweet. Then you really just need enough SP to do it. I'll keep that in mind.

Triple post: Finished chapter 9, and now doing chapter 10.

All my old teams have been changed, but I seem to be somewhat regaining my footing.

So now Kagemaru and Akira are back, and Ingrid has popped up. It says a lot about how long I've listened to Japanese that I can tell she's talking like the old lady she is.

By the way, do Solo units have their own separate CP? I've been trying to figure that out.

Yep. Each Solo unit earns CP for themselves which can be used to upgrade their sole attack or to get passive abilities.

I see. So how do I build it up? The same way I do for my paired units I assume?

Also, how do I see how much CP they even have? That's been an issue I've been having with Solo units right now.
