E3 happened and I was like "Huh,Ok?" and it flew right by me
New theme music also a boxI only knew about it because the Nintendo Direct was announced so far in advance.
Ukrainian Red CrossIs Jim doing okay? This seemed more violently bitter than usual
Not sure when this was recorded, but I do know they had to put up with more than a little bullshit from old wrestlers and wrestling fans.
I imagine combined with just the general shit that comes with existing as Trans, can really start to wear someone down.
Fair enough, wrestling fans can be real chuds.
As for E3 I'll be honest, I went in expecting another unexpected Star Wars rerelease after the last two Katarn games, Racer and Republic Commando made surprise comebacks on modern consoles. But Kazuya in Smash and Metroid Dread got me interested.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowChaos

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's funny that the idea of this video is that E3 is shit and we shouldn't pay it any attention, yet here we are discussing our favorite E3 content.
Mine is the Plague Tale: Requiem trailer.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Not quite, you are discussing announcements of the games, which exist individually without being reliant on E3. The idea of gathering them all in one place is the worthless garbage part. Nobody here is talking about how anything of the gathering itself was fun or worthy.
It's insane how much of E3 is just people chatting self-aggrandizing shit. I never realized until I just stopped watching and just read summaries.
Side note:I actually backed Hunt the Night on Kickstarter. Pretty pleased with how it's turning out.
Still kinda feels like we're disagreeing with Jim here. Still I won't lie, I'm hyped as fuck for Kazuya's Smash debut. Big Tekken mark here.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowE3's basically an excuse for industry bigwigs and insiders to show off to each other. Just like any other big industry expo.

Disgusted, but not surprisedNot to mention most things shown at E3 barely show the gameplay or said gameplay is heavily scripted.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. So, maybe getting a bit philosophical here, but has the gaming public at large actually ever been excited for "E3, the show", versus "All the stuff that gets announced at E3" (To the extent those two are different)? Because the show itself wasn't open to the public until, what, the last ten years or so, right? And even then, it's now become less its own marquee event and more an announcement aggregator as things have gotten more and more online.
Also just the timing of E3 during the week feels super-weird, but that may just be me. It looks like "E3 Proper" was Saturday-to-Tuesday this year, which seems really odd to me. Has it always extended into the week like that?
I think more casual gamers (as in those who don't keep up with the constant news and leaks) get more excited for E3 as a whole.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. That's the majority, unfortunately. Most gamers are just willing to eat what companies put in front of them without much thought. For all the criticism you'll find regarding the event, it's only the critics that denounce it, and that all gets drowned out by the hype. Hype just tracks on Youtube, so you'll see tons of reaction vids and excitement first before anything else.
"No will to break."Not sure when this was recorded, but I do know they had to put up with more than a little bullshit from old wrestlers and wrestling fans.
I imagine combined with just the general shit that comes with existing as Trans, can really start to wear someone down.
Not to mention Scott Cawthon's cult throwing a shitfit over Jim criticising their idol.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Just typed "Dragon Age II Qunari react to Mages" in Youtube, scrolled down and Youtube for some reason put The Quartering video from a week ago in the list, where The Quartering, per usual self, put a loud name on the video and declares that "Jim Sterling Attacks Gamers". I didn't watch the video, but the name and description alone tell me everything. Why Youtube recommended me this?

Because YouTube loves drama. All these angry people are increasing engagement with Jim's content, so they win either way.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""They" not "he".
"No will to break."Do they, though? Is engagement worth the stress that sort of constant negative energy gives you?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Sterling's probably used to negative flack for their opinions on the gaming industry by this point.

Disgusted, but not surprised
That doesn't mean it's not gonna effect them.
Take it from me, constant negative attention can really grind you down.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I've got enough inner demons to realize that "being used to something" isn't exactly the same thing as "this thing doesn't affect me a bit".
