Yes, more Kagerou is a good thing.
...in fact, I'd say more Inu Boku in general is a good thing. The characters are really interesting.
@22: Even with that tidbit, I'd still say he didn't care enough to at least dictate the letters. Or, you know, read them. If his pride is too much for that, well, he just doesn't care enough.
And yes, twist was obvious. That's why I wasn't sure what was meant.
I do find Kagerou more interesting than Soushi. Actually, in the beginning I really disliked Soushi. He's grown on me, though. Still, while interesting, Kagerou is too untouchable, in a way, for me to ship him with Riri.
The clincher for me was that the moment Soushi actually wrote for himself rather than just for his persona, Riri noticed. His reaction to that is quite understandable.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. But you forget:He said he regretted not actually writing them, though, it means the Kagerou now is more mature, even if it is just a bit.
No, that's in my considerations. If it wasn't for that, I'd just have told him to go poof.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Honestly, as tragic as Soushi's backstory is, his manipulative, almost sociopathic personality is revolting to me.
True, that's how he was. Is he so anymore?
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Sociopaths don't become good people, they become better at faking it.
Is that true in fiction? Also, if you said almost before, then he's not one.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Sociopaths are capable of having loved ones, they are just of low affect. To expand the thought, as I am well aware that sociopaths can only fake being good people, I find it disruptive to my suspension of disbelief than he is a good guy at all.

Well, I'll just put it in Nisemonogatari terms: Someone faking it can very well be better than the real thing. But he'd only need to be faking it if he was actually completely incapable of empathy and those kinds of emotions.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. The only reason Tsukihi is a "faker" is the enforcement of Yozuru's Black/White morality patterns.

Right.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Ririchiyo says as early as episode 2 that even though Soushi acts like a dog, he's frighteningly cunning about getting exactly what he wants out of his supposed "master". So his manipulative side is featured from the start, we just didn't know how deep it went. Although he still has that side to him, I think the point was that now there's more to him than that, and he owes it to Riri.
Episode 12 was... mostly just predictable, actually. Decent, but not great. It did show a hidden side of him, though, in that it's more clear that while he does see through her most of the time, he still doesn't have the confidence in himself to understand the full extent of her feelings.
That's how I see it. He used to be apathetic to everthing due to being locked in, then decided to escape all that by using his knowledge and ability to manipulate people. He got better and better at it, up to the point where he started exchanging letter with Riri. The moment he realised she saw through him he realised he still had the feelings he had hidden deep inside himself, as well as feelings he had never learned to listen to before. I also don't think he even realised he started to like her far earlier than that.
The difference in how he acts when he meets her, and when he first started acting in a similar way is quite significant. Before, it was a means to an end. Later on it was because that's what he wanted. He is manipulative, but not maliciously so, and the purpose shifts from serving himself, to serving her. It's a way of trying to feel emotions, through her, because he's not confident to feel his own.
You know, I have no idea what's a spoiler or not. The blanked text is from ep. 11, and the rest is just an analysis based on that and other things.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Anyone know where can I find the manga? I hear Chapter 18 is very interesting.
After seeing the finale episode and reading about the end of Chapter 18 here in tvtropes, I got confused and I really want to bridge the events between the anime finale and that fated chapter.
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuThe final episode was like the rest of this show. That is, it clicked with me. Really sad to see it go.
How faithful is this to the manga? What the hell is up with Chapter 18?!
EDIT: So, it looks pretty faithful. I checked and the anime finale coincides with the manga at chapter 10, though there's a bunch of omake that weren't shown in the anime.

Episode 13. I found it amusing how teasing Soushi was, though I still prefer his normal foxy form. I wonder how long Riri would be able to keep up her shield against that. Even if that shield should be significantly softer if they're actually dating... Then again, it's her. Also, Karuta is one of those people who just makes you relaxed.

I liked the part with the switches myself.
I started reading the manga version, Youko x Boku SS, pretty interesting so far. Although I am kind of wanting to see a character sheet, if for nothing else just find out what everyone is

Sanity is a delusion perpetuated by the massesChapter 21: Kagerou hasn't lost any of his charm. The board game was hilarious to the end.
Apologies for the necro. Was waiting for the scanlations to be completed since the manga has just ended and its author died this year. RIP Fujiwara-sensei
But anyway, could not wait anymore so I binged it and just "read" the last chapter raw. Great love story. I really felt that happy ending was well deserved. Except for the antagonists though but it seemed they too had a tragic love which seemed to me a theme of the story

I usually make a point to not ship when an oficial couple is self-evident from the get-go. So yeah, in any case, I'll have to read the manga, I want more Kagerou goodness.
