Nice finale, looking forward to season 5.
But looking back at this season, it feels like the Illuminati accomplished much less at the end of the day than Carol, FIS, or even arguably Finé. Wow.
They did piggyback off their efforts,, though.
The annunaki are Mesopotamian in origin.
Could Fine return in Season 5?
Watch SymphogearSo are we bringing back the yandere death lasers?
"Yup. That tasted purple."Man, the thread sure is awfully quiet. Anyway:
AXZ Episode 13:
ew adam turned into monster it looks pretty stupid
why do you need the power of god again?
fight happens
Someone should make a megaman hack about where Hibiki is Megaman and everyone else but Miku functions as Robot Master
pretty surprised that chris isn't mad about hibiki didn't wear birthday suit after doing an armor purge like she did in G
IS THIS A JOJO REFERENCE???
After defeating Adam, the symphogears girls go celebrate Hibiki's late birthday. Somehting shocking happens. [[Tsubasa likes tomato and breaks her stoic character.]]
The series ends with the revelation of why Hibiki can kill gods, she got hit by that light during her fight with Miku, purging the original sin that everyone is born with. But she's not the only one that was hit by it. It must be that riceball plush toy!
Overall: AXZ is something. The villains are much better than Carol, but that's not really a difficult accomplishment given how awfully petty she was. The story isn't all that great as there's way too much fighting and the song isn't anything to write home about. It feels really strange that the only thing that's really shocking is something about Miku at the end of episode 13. Still, I don't feel really bored while watching it, so there's that.
I just noticed from a review series that in past seasons, Tsubasa has some moments she's high pitched. Now it feels like even if she's not sad, she's in permanent Contralto Of Danger... Is it just me?
I started this a little while ago. I'm at episode 11, and the memes didn't lie. It took me a while to get into the show, basically until the character development set in. I want to know what Genjuurou's deal is.
Genjuro's deal is already partially explained, but he sums it up in a single line before the end of season 1.
The line in question is I eat, watch movies, and sleep. A true man needs nothing else!
Season 5 to release April 2019' Considering both Seasons 4 and 5 were announced att he same time, I was expecting something sooner.
I guess they are taking extra time to do Season 5 if it was being made at the same time as Season 4.
Watch Symphogear5th season is titled XV◊ (pronounced as ex-ive).
Watch Symphogear...I'm going to assume that they named it 15 accidentally
I can't wait to see all the meme fanart crossing it with Final Fantasy XV.
Probably involving someone coming up with a new recipe (for Beef Stroganoff).
I was a bit slow in watching this season, but once I got started I demolished the whole thing in two sittings.
I really enjoyed this season, probably my favorite so far. My only really complaint is I think the first third of the finale was a bit lackluster. I think it would have worked better putting all of the Adam fight before the Hibiki one.
And moving his last words to a wrap up post rescue.
I'm also loving how connected this was to the previous seasons.
And the fact we got a lot of setup, which I don't recall happening in 1-3.
Also Miku focus next season!!
That's another thing I felt this season did right. Giving focus to certain characters, namely Shirabe, Chris, Maria and Elfnein while still having interaction with the other cast members.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobSeason 4 and the upcoming Season 5 added a new writer, which is why Season 4 feels a bit different.
Watch SymphogearMajor bump, but the teaser site for XV is up:
That tagline sounds epic, though:
"Create history, with the light God could not know."

Watch SymphogearYeah, it went up a few weeks ago.
For once they actually got perfect English grammar in their subtitle
I still think GX has the best subtitle. "Believe in Justice and hold a determination to fist."
Oh, that's easily the most amusing/memorable one.
Huh no Chris.
We finally got our XV trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl3vAScd2sk
The Nana opening is titled METANOIA
Fight for something, even if its meaningless.I really like that song.
Speaking of, I've been re-watching Symphogear recently (spurred on by the current Reddit rewatch). Currently up to episode 6 of G.
When I originally watched TOS, G & GX I watched it in pretty poor quality which also didn't always have the subs for the songs.
So its almost a different experience this time around. I really appreciate the early character arcs a lot more as well, Chris in particular I'm enjoying a lot more this time around.
I'm also actually enjoying the songs and paying attention to how they inform my view of each Gear.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobInterestingly enough it's brought up in the bio that nobody *actually* knows what exactly Maria's relic is, bringing up the possibility that it's something different than Airgetlám.
Fight for something, even if its meaningless.
And so the last episode was spent on setting up S5. I guess the fight was okay, but it was probably the least interesting phase of this series of boss fights
Surprised Carol never resurfaced to help after Fine and Ver did
Hope they actually follow up on that post-credits scene, we need more Miku
Season overall was alright. Some interesting stuff with the lore (and I appreciated that the writers actually looked up what alchemy was about), but the character writing was weak and it didn't quite break any records for spectacle. I sort of appreciate that it didn't try to force an arc for Hibiki the way GX did (because that sucked), but at the same time there was no real emotional core. Probably should have focused more on the alchemists. They were underused by any standard, and the attempt to give them depth despite this both didn't really work and prevented them from having the kind of larger-than-life appeal the autoscorers did
