Oh, cool! Yeah, don't worry if you don't have time or whatever, but it'd be great if you could try it.

Okay, characters:

Katryn: Human woman, muscular, cynical, broadsword-wielding hero, masculine features, simple clothes (pants/shirt/boots) and long, straight hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Ezra: Human woman, on the shorter side, short black hair, pixie-ish face, black clothing (pants/shirt/boots again), carries daggers.

Lorien: Tall, blonde, elegant, Tolkien-esque elf. He's a wizard, so he also carries a large wooden staff. For clothes, something fancy and flowy.

Cory: Thick curly hair, a puppy-ish face, loose pants and shirt, and a leather backpack filled with gears, wires and other steampunky bits and pieces.

Muffin: A dragon. Always hanging around Cory's feet. About the size of a large dog, and with wings too small for flight. Has a bit of a mean streak, and tends toward evil tooth-flashing grins.

[up] Oh, cool! Katryn was great- minor nitpick, it's spelled Katryn with no A. Ezra was cool too, although I always imagine her looking a little bit more...devious, I guess. I may have forgotten to mention, but she's a former assassin and has a huge mean streak. I like them both, though. Thanks!

This request is a bit uncommon for me lol.

I would like to request a sailor senshi for the planet Reach. Reach is a fictional planet from the video game Halo Reach of the famous halo series. i would love to see any artist's take on this

I have a couple of characters who are a husband-and-wife team of fantasy adventurers. I don't have names for either of them yet, but I can imagine their visual appearances.

The man is a brawny and handsome, Nordic-looking white guy with long blond hair, a goatee, and frosty blue eyes. He wears a gray wolf-skin tunic, buckskin trousers, and a silver torc around his neck. His weapons are a yew bow and a bronze machete. His native culture is supposed to have a roughly Norse or Celtic flavor. He's cocky (or confident if you prefer) and short-tempered but cares deeply for his wife and helping other people.

The woman is a lithe and beautiful, dark-skinned black woman with an Afro hairstyle. Green cloth covers her breasts and loins while bronze rings protect her neck, forearms, and shins. Her main weapon is a bronze spear, supplemented by a small bronze throwing knife. Her native culture combines aspects of ancient Egyptian, Nubian, and sub-Saharan African cultures. She shares her husband's compassion and altruism, but has a more even temper and less self-confidence (or greater humility).

@ nrjxll,

Sorry for taking so long. is just that I don't feel confident with my skills yet to try what you asked. Hence the reason I have avoided it for so long :(. I will give it a shot soon regardless :)

[up][up] Honestly, I pictured my heroine as having much darker skin. Was a darker brown color not available with your software?

Regardless, thanks for responding to my request!

Hmm, not quite sure what to say. On the one hand, Loni Jay's drawing was a lot closer to what I've always pictured; this one puts much more emphasis on the 'reptilian' part and not enough on the 'greys'.

On the other hand, it's still a pretty cool piece of art. Reminds me of Mass Effect quarians for some reason.

Thank you, I could try again if you want. Reptilians are a bit hard for me :p It seems I messed up the colors gain, my bad.

You're right, it is very reminiscent of a quarian.

Be not afraid...

[up][up]By "not enough emphasis on the 'greys'," I didn't mean the color, I meant The Greys. That's what qrtxians fundamentally are - a little more humanlike, and flavored with reptilian characteristics, but still essentially the same trope. Your drawing, regardless of color, comes across as more of a human-lizard cross, with very little Roswell in it.

This isn't intended as criticism, so much as clarification, to be... well, clear.

[up]And I had just started to convince myself I was imagining it.

^Oh wow, thank you! That's fantastic, and it's giving me an art itch as well... I really must reread it sometime.

Did you enjoy Invisible Cities? Any favourites?

I love it. It's kind of like Borges in a lot of ways, including being very dense with ideas despite how short it is.

I don't know about a favourite... Octavia is pretty high on the list. Also Theodora and Perinthia. Umm... Zirma, Isaura, Eudoxia, Clarice, Esmerelda, Phyllis, and Baucis all stand out to me in certain ways as well. A lot of them are difficult to compare because of how abstract they are (which is obviously part of the point), but it's easier to do for the ones that are more specifically or visually described, for me, anyway. Some of the others are ideas which are more intriguing than the cities which arise from them, I guess.

What are yours? The three you mentioned (Sophronia, Octavia, and Ersilia)?

I'll have to read the book again before I can say! This will give me another excuse... Ersilia is definitely one of my favourites, but I chose those three as particularly visually inspiring. It's remarkable how visually distinct some of the cities are, even though Calvino's "sketches" are only a paragraph long in some cases.

Invisible Cities and Gormenghast are the two works which make me feel like papering the walls of my bedroom with drawings of architecture. It's a strange feeling.

Would any body else be willing to take on a challenge? would anybody be able to combine the the superman shield, the mark of the deathly hallows and guns into something like this? It would also be cool if the inside of the s was filled with typical tattoo imagery like koi fish, skulls etc.

Sorry but there should be a line down the middle of that triangle, behind the s.

So I am in the process of making a hat for the Team Fortress 2 workshop.

This hat is for the Medic and is based on Tripitaka's hat from Journey To The West.

The problem is that the rim of the hat is a bit plain. See here.

Now I tried looking up Buddhist art on Google for some motifs, but I still don't know what would be a good pattern for the rim of the hat. So here I am asking for concept art of patterns.

I would prefer simpler patterns due to the art style of TF 2.
