The signup thread for the New RPG is up. I won't actually start the RPG till our players get back from the Mass Effect 3 game

And before anyone asks, yes that is an actual size comparison between our current ships that have listed lengths.

It's sort of weird seeing Devastator as the largest ship on that chart. Then again, I've never been good with measuring things.

We're still using this thread for our OOC dicussions.

On another note, Des, I don't think you could just easily detect us in this system as before. I'm really pushing the whole 'filled with debris' thing, so lots of those wrecks will still have active power cores, energy readings, etc.

Its to make it harder to detect each of us so we can hide if we need to. On another note, one solar system doesn't sound that big on paper, but we're still talking about a space billions upon billions of kilometers across. Filled with over a dozen planets, two asteroid belts and the debris fields, it makes lots of hiding spots.

And finally, I wanted to see what would happen if I added the Typhon (The Mercury class battlestar I used) to the size chart and uh...wow◊ I did not realize it was that big.

So, um, edit and have Sparty thump his post or something?

I can thump the part about the Normandy finding me if necessary, but I assume the Rebel ship's message still got through - in which case the Independence would go into panic mode.

Also, why did you need to make it clear you were using the film uniforms when the TNG ones were coming on issue? Why not just have the ship taken from the movie era?

Cause I've taken the USS Knight from the era of Star Trek Online, which allows you to use any uniforms from the Star Trek series. But it keeps the technology of The Next Generation so I could allow my ship to use the nicer uniforms while keeping the technology. It also allows me to use the Klingon Bird of Prey that can fire while Cloaked, as they show up again in that game. This is like near the end of the 24th century, so its later on in Star Trek lore.

Yup, I've seen it. Just consider it lucky (or unlucky) that I don't think anybody on the Linare has seen it. :P

Hm... I have to admit I'm having trouble thinking of a way to make my first post without it being a rehash of my original first post in the original version of this RP.

You could wait till the Storm Wind and the Liberty start shooting at the Knight and then have the Imperials pull of a Big Damn Villains moment to somewhat establish battlelines

Star Wars uses Proton Torpedoes, not Photon Torpedoes.

Plus it's a logical assumption given the ship that fired it.
