Also to respond to your bit, Crystal, if one person's misinterpreting it there's always the chance someone else could. I pretty much just lifted the laconic rules out of the signup and added that extra bit for clarity, but I could reword it to something like...
"Small plotlets and character arcs are A-OK, but plot threads that commits several players over a long time are a no-go."

I also feel like you should elaborate on what "godmodding" means. It might be unclear to those who are new to the format.
Minor quibble — I'd put "fine" rather than "A-OK". Either way, underlining that plotlets shouldn't get out of control is probably the important part.

Ehhhh... I left the elaborations out of the OP so it wouldn't crowd it up. The OP's already fairly lengthy, so I felt it'd be fine to leave it to the signups and the actual forum RP rules to elaborate on what godmodding should mean.

I think there was a bit of discussion we had in the Discord about the signup threads, but I can't exactly remember it all. As a quick aside, though, adding that Olive and Faust are our local Signup GMs wouldn't be a bad idea.
HEY speaking of the Discord, should we include a formal thing about passing the link on approved signup? And, uh. With consideration to who we had to bounce for a bad and insensitive attitude, does it warrant formally stating we don't tolerate such attitudes in either OP?

I also do think it's worth mentioning that we don't tolerate hateful attitudes in the thread, yeah. I think it's best to not go into graphic detail, b/c I think mentioning it alone will get the message across.

Posting that whole modified paragraph to make sure it flows together. The general idea behind including that bit was to avoid anyone just setting a character down during a a low traffic hour or a high traffic hour and still not getting anyone to interact with.
If your signup is already approved we'll PM you the link to our Discord server and you'll be free to post! Before doing that, though, we highly encourage you ask in the Discord server if anyone is available to play with. This way you're not left no one to interact with. The nature of our game is that some locations and interactions are just free to come and go, but if you want somewhere concrete and always present to start we have a few for you:

What do you mean Season 2?
We were previously "Our avatars are in a room together," but after eight years, 50,000 pages, and over 1 million posts of mostly being a cabin in the woods we decided to formally shift our setting into a generic city. We're still the same folks, but to clarify that our setting is no longer just a room we've opened this new thread as "Season 2." The sandbox nature of the game is still the same, we've just expanded to a setting with more potential than what it was before.Rules
Don't forget to read the TV Tropes RP rules, but we do have our own set we'd like you to follow too. There's further elaboration in the signup thread, but in short:
- No godmodding.
- You have to sign up and be accepted by us before you may post! note
- Please respect the wishes of other players.
- Small plotlets and character arcs are fine, but letting the scenario escalate to make it affect unrelated players isn't.
- Combat can be fun and permitted, but please keep in mind that we aren't an Arena thread and are focused primarily on interaction. Not everyone here is interested in picking or getting into a fight all the time.
- Do your best to keep characters with a canon source in-character when they're first introduced. note
- Please avoid sexually graphic or provocative content in your posts.
- Please try not to be rude.
- We have a zero tolerance policy for hateful and insensitive attitudes towards each other.
- You have to have an avatar of your character to play them! note
Starting Locations
If your signup is already approved, then we'll PM you the link to our Discord server and you'll be free to post! Before posting, though, we highly encourage you ask in the Discord server if anyone is available to play with. This way you're not left without anyone to interact with. The nature of our game is that some locations and interactions are just free to come and go, but if you want somewhere concrete and always present to start we have a few for you:- Streets: Generic streets around town.
- Central Park: A park with a fountain and a memorial plaque and sword.
- Docks: A port stretching out into an ocean.
- Outskirts: The edge of town.
- Forest: Beyond the town, the city is otherwise surrounded by it.
