well poop. now, is the possibly of a rebooted animated version of jem possible?
MIAPossible? yes. Anyone interested? Not right now.
"We be we baby!"I made a Recap.Jem page. it would've been a lot easier if they had a consistent multipart episode naming scheme. XD

The Protomen enhanced my life.I found a Jem preview commercial! Hasbro was so excited they aired commercials before the dolls were even in stores. There were a lot more than this, too, like Jem and the Holograms, The Misfits, Rockin' Curl Jem, and the battle of the bands.
Raya and Clash also got commercials but to my knowledge Jetta didn't.

The Protomen enhanced my life.JemCon is coming to my town this August! :D
The Protomen enhanced my life.Excuse the bump, but there's an entire Jem convention?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Apparently. According to the newspaper article they get about 100 fans per year, but more show up every time!
The Protomen enhanced my life.Well, her music is truly, truly outrageous.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I knew Jemcon existed but I didn't know it had over 1000 fans. Geeze, I thought it was only 400-700. Now I don't feel so embarrassed about wanting to go one day.

Not 1000. 100.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Jem was watched by 2.5 million kids in her heydays...to see so very few Jem fans nowadays...breaks my heart.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Jem just sort of dropped off the radar after the series and toy line was cancelled. Other shows like TMNT and Transformers had multiple movies and series between then and now. Jem had to wait 30 years just to get a (cashgrab) movie. It's only natural the fanbase would diminish to a cult status.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."It really needs a Netflix reboot.
I think the comic was laying the groundwork for one...and then it sold like heaters in the summertime.
The worst thing is that the show had great ratings, but the toys sold poorly and that's why it was canceled.
The Stingers were made because parents/kids complained about the Misfits' toys being too scary, so they wanted an alternative, but they were never made as toys due to the abrupt cancellation XD

The Protomen enhanced my life. That'd be kinda redundant with the old show already on Netflix.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Not really. Why haven't they made a reboot yet? Cost too much money or dolls hard to make due to the new body diversity happening in the comics?
MIAThe comic got canned due to low sales. If that was a test bed to see if there was interest in a new cartoon, the answer seems to have been a resounding "No."
I hope that the soundtrack album gets released (Hasbro did say they were releasing the soundtracks to Jem, GI Joe, and Transformers, but that was a couple of years ago).
Honestly, I prefer it that way. There are way too many reboots coming out these days.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."100? Still more than I expected. 'Still wanna go.
I'm bummed that Discovery Family took Jem off and never put it back. I don't have the channel anymore, but it still sucks.
understandable
MIAIt didn’t help that the comic was crap. I went and found some issues...and one of the plots before the series got canned is the Misfits in a reality show (OK, kinda interesting) trying to rebuild their shattered reps...BUT Stormer (retconned to be significantly overweight) refuses to go on the show if they make her lose weight.
Just...what?! If that’s what they were using, no wonder it flopped. If that’s what a revival would have looked like, they were right to not go there. Personally I blame the utter disaster of the LA film.

It wasn't a retcon. The comics are a different universe than the cartoon. If you wanna know more about other arcs of the comic, you could check out the comic's page or the discussion thread.
