Months after the Dalek/Cybermen invasion, the world has made a very large change.

Due to a large number of incidents in which various supernatural beings found themselves battling Cybermen in public; several masquerades have been broken. Supernatural beings such as vampires, werewolves, and magic users have gone from being fictional creatures to people you see everyday. The existance of the MIB, Torchwood, Hellsing and Stargate Command is now public knowledge; and conspiracy theorists everywhere are getting rather smug.

To make things worse, the planet Earth has gained the attention of several alien races; not all of which are peaceful. Even with help from the TSAB, The Tokra, the Asgard, The Autobots, and The Doctor; those tasked with protecting the Earth will have their work cut out for them.

In a world torn between Team Edward, and Team Jacob, I only have one thing to say: Go Team Godzilla.

Saber swings downward with the wooden sword in a repeated motion. She wasn't fighting a Servant, she wasn't fighting a magus, she was just practicing. These strange new world events did catch her interest but she was more concerned with Shirou's training than anything.

I'm not going to wait all day, Shirou.

The girl thinks to herself, waiting in that dojo, alone.

Where was he? She didn't know. Did he think they weren't training today? Well he had another thing coming.

Leon sighed, as he found himself once again lost.

After the Dalek/Cybermen invasion, Leon's workload had tripled, identifying newly revealed threats to national security. His experience against Umbrella's monstrocities had made him uniquely suited to identify the monsters that seemed to be coming out of the woodwork. His work as a Secret Service agent suspended, he'd been reassigned to the newly formed United Parahuman Counterforce, or UPC, as both field agent and recruiter. His job was to find exceptional individuals, and determine whether they were a threat to the safety of the United States and her allies.

Which is why he found himself in the pouring rain, in the middle of some backwater town in Japan, trying to find the residence of one "Tohno Shiki", with no idea where he was.

Damn.

"Huehhuehuehahaha!"

Maniacal, mechanically-twinged, and rather obnoxious laughter rang out in a downtown district in a city in Japan. The shatter of glass, a dull thud, and the sounds of sirens were heard. One short girl went barreling out of the front door of a bank, fat burlap sack stuffed with cash slung over one shoulder. After a moment's pause, she leaped out of the reach of a security guard and into oncoming traffic in the street below.

Tires screeched, and the car in front of Peacock stopped inches away from her face. A sedan? It wasn't exactly the kind of hot rod the girl preferred, but it would do for a getaway ride. Stepping to the side, she punched a hole in the driver's side window, grabbed the unfortunate driver and pulled him out.

Peacock climbed in through the window, holding onto her top hat with one hand. The other held the burlap sack, which was just slightly too large to fit through the space. The security guards were closing in from one side. Worst yet, Peacock's feet weren't reaching the pedals. It sucked being short. She tugged and tugged on the sack, but just when it seemed about to pop inside the car, a bullet crashed through the opposite window. The sack exploded, sending the bills inside flying to the wind.

"Blast it all! Avery, get your butt down there!" she cursed, commanding her feathered companion to emerge from her hat and get down on the car floor with the pedals. She stomped down angrily, squashing the little bird against the gas and sending the car roaring to life. The cyborg shifted the car into drive, and it shot forward with all the speed its engine could muster. Hopefully the scattered money would keep the fuzz at bay long enough for Peacock to get the hell out of here and onto another town.

"Ah, well," she sighed. "At least that was a little fun. Where should we head to next, huh?"

Frieza watched the robbery in progress with interest from a nearby rooftop. If he was trapped on this godforsaken, diminutive, backwater planet, he was sure as hell going to live like a king on it. Gathering a bit of ki, he blew gently towards the police officers, creating a gust of wind that spiraled into a tornado, blowing them all away, and scattering the already scattered money further. Flying after Peacock's sedan, he began to telekinetically collect all the money, before flying up to the sedan's window and saluting Peacock.

"Thank you for the money, miss, but I must be on my way! Ta ta~" He called out, flying off. Though he was moving it with his mind, to an observer the money would seem to follow him of it's own accord

Blackfire hovered above the city and smiled to herself. Watching people was always fun, but she was getting a bit bored.

"Someone has to notice a woman hovering over the skyline." She laughed. "Or am I overestimating humans again?"

She flew down to a rooftop and sat admiring the view. "It's a nice city...if only I had the time to take a tour. Hmm? What's happening down there?" She asked herself as she saw Frieza. "I doubt that money is yours..." She teased as she flew by over to him.

Several Hong Kong policemen were standing outside the World Trade Centre more, all of them wearing kevlar vests and heavily armed after receiving word that a bunch of armed individuals seized the buildings with various weapons and explosives while wearing balaclavas, taking a couple of constables hostage.

Why is fate not being merciful to me? Senior Inspector Don Wong had arrived on the scene after being dropped off by a red taxi, notified by Police HQ via mobile phone. He had a black shirt, jeans and rubber shoes on.

"There you are." Joe Cheung greeted Don when he arrived in English. He too wore the same clothing as Don did, except for the fact that he had a blue shirt on. However, Joe had tactical gear on with a balaclava.

"Joe." Don shook hands with Joe in English. "What's going on?"

"Witnesses reported a group of men being dropped off by three vans in front of the WTC before they stormed the place." Joe told Don, switching from English to Cantonese.

"Anything?" Don asked in English still as he got his gear from a Special Duties Unit operator in tac gear and plainclothes, giving the man a tac vest for him to wear.

"Nothing." Joe shook his head. "Except for the fact that they want to let everyone know that there are alien infiltrators living in the two SARs."

"What the hell?" Don frowned as he wore an earpiece on his right ear before donning the balaclava and taking the Colt M4A1 assault rifle. "Sounds like conspiracy theorists, except that they seem to be quite radical."

It was not a surprise to everyone in the Hong Kong and Macau SARs about the invasion months ago. Due to that, the Chinese government had publicly considering the establishment of a national anti-paranormal, anti-terrorist unit with a mandate similar to the likes of the FEAR unit, the Paranormal Disaster Countermeasure Headquarters under the Japanese MOD and the Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division under the MOE, Hellsing and the Koreans' Special Environmental Protection Agency alongside the UN's UNIT. A few weeks ago, Don had been considered as a candidate for the proposed unit's Hong Kong/Macau division.

"They've killed the two constables minutes before you got here." Joe sighed when he told Don. "Seems to show that they want to be taken seriously."

"Plan?"

"We're going to use the parking lot as an infiltration point, but we'll need to be careful of the cameras." Joe sighed. "We're working on that part..."

"Negotiations?"

"Negotiators have said that they can't deal with the gunmen anymore. Not after gunning down the constables..."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Don told Joe as he pulled the bolt of the M4A1.

Frieza paused a moment, staring at Blackfire. Raising one hand, he pushed a button on his scouter - and sure enough...

"You aren't human." He noted. "At least, not with a power level like THAT..." He turned back to the money, clasping his hands behind his back.

"As for the money, by the law of these filthy humans it's not mine, but these putrid Earth-monkeys can do little to oppose me taking it. Besides, I am much more deserving of wealth than anyone on this planet. And if you'll aid a fellow lost space traveler in taking over this pathetic world, I shall reward you greatly." He offered a hand to her, smirking. "Do we have a deal?"

The sound of rustling clothes stirred Tohno Shiki from his sleep. After a few moments fumbling about for his glasses, he opened his eyes and knew it was going to be a good day. It was always a good day whenever this sight was the first thing he saw.

"Mm... Morning, Hisui..." he mumbled, watching as his lover suddenly froze up halfway through slipping on her dress.

"Ah!" Hisui squealed in embarrassment. Although he couldn't see her face, Shiki was positive that it had just turned beet red. "G-good morning, Shiki... Sama..."

The maid's words drifted off as Shiki leaned over and kissed the nape of her neck. "I keep telling you, you don't have to call me "-sama" anymore. We're lovers, after all. Just "Shiki" is fine..."

"As... As you wish, Shiki-sama..." she moaned. No matter how much he asked her, she never did get it. But he supposed it wasn't too bad. It was cute, in its own way. Ah, everything about Hisui was so wonderfully cute...

"...We're up kind of early, Hisui..." he whispered, his cool breath causing the maid to shiver. "How about we...?"

"Ah... If... If it pleases Shiki-sama," Hisui whimpered, trembling with simultaneous embarrassment and excitement, "then I am... Most willing..." She trailed off once more as their lips locked, and they began to make the most of this beautiful morning...

Shiki headed downstairs a few minutes after Hisui, so as not to arouse suspicion from the other occupents of the mansion. He entered the parlour and came across his sister, Akiha, enjoying her customary morning tea with the other maid of the household.

"Ah, good morning, Akiha and Ko-" he stopped suddenly, before correcting himself, "Akiha and Nanaya-san." Even after all this time, he still hadn't gotten used to calling Kohaku by her new name.

"Good morning, Nii-san," Akiha said after taking a nice long sip from an intricately decorated china cup. The soothing scent of English tea wafted across the room, its warm appeal a contrast to his sister's icy tones. "It's always nice to see you awake early like this. I wonder what's gotten into you recently?"

"Ah, well.." Shiki began, but Akiha cut him off suddenly.

"Or what you've been getting into recently," she continued, as Shiki noticed her cheeks taking on a light pinkish colour. "We could hear you down here, Nee-san."

"Oh, um..." Shiki felt his own cheeks warming up, as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. Nanaya's constant giggling only served to make him more embarrassed.

"Ahah, you just can't stay away from my sister, can you Shiki-san~?" the kimono-clad maid said cheerfully. "Ah, it's so romantic, isn't it? A maid and her master falling for one another like that, eheh~"

"Romantic? It's almost a scandal!" Akiha's icy tones replied. "Were it not for all that's happened recently, the fact that the eldest son of the Tohno family is a deviant maid seducer would have... Well, I suppose it wouldn't have done much, but still..."

"It's okay, Shiki-san. She's just jealous, that's all~ And I've heard her say how happy she is that her two childhood friends got togeth- Umph!" A sharp elbow to the chest stopped Nanaya in her tracks.

All that's happened, huh... Shiki thought. After the event with the robot men and the killer pepperpots, all kinds of strange things had been coming out of the woodworks. Most notably for the Tohno household was that they were exposed as a family possessing demonic blood. Shiki himself had been saved some of the stigma by his sister revealing that he had been adopted into the family and that he wasn't related to them by blood, but it hadn't stopped anyone going after Akiha. Thankfully the campaign of hate against her had ended pretty soon after it started, thanks to her natural charisma coupled with the fact that most of the ones rallied against her were actually terrified of her. There was one thing that really bothered Shiki, though. Not only had demons, mages, aliens, and other assorted beings started to make their presence known to the public, but so had...

...Vampires.

If only the event had happened earlier. If only knowledge of such things was made public before he had to do the one thing he hated himself most for doing. If only... If only it had been earlier, maybe Yumizuka-san... Maybe Yumizuka-san would still be alive.

Nanaya's announcement that breakfast was ready snapped him back to reality. One thing he was relieved with was that her amnesia had not done a single thing to affect her godlike cooking skills. He and Akiha sat at the table and ate whilst the twin maids stood off to the side, Hisui blushing from Shiki's constant side-glances at her.

"So, when are we heading to Fuyuki?" he asked, between bites.

"Not long after breakfast, actually," his sister replied. "I'm not sure why the Mage Association decided to hold a meeting there, nor why they invited me, but I suppose we'll find out when we get there."

"Ah..." Shiki supposed he should hurry up, and quickly wolfed down the rest of his breakfast. "I can understand why they'd want the head of the illustrious Tohno family, but what confuses me is why they want me too."

"Probably your eyes," was the only response he got, as Akiha too finished her breakfast.

It was a routine assignment.

That's what Lockdown kept telling himself, anyway. Truth be told, he wasn't entirely comfortable with this arrangement. He wasn't used to such a long-term contract. But, the Decepticons were paying and that was all that mattered. They were paying a lot, too, more than all of his previous jobs combined. In his experience, a reward like that usually meant that the client really wanted the job done, or it was far too dangerous for them to do themselves.

But right now, it was neither of those. He'd been hired to help the 'Cons regain a foothold on Earth after the Autobots had booted them off-planet after that whole alien invasion thing. Lockdown had heard tell of the Daleks before, though only in passing. Entire colony worlds, wiped out. Seemed like they used to be a holy terror, before they disappeared. He didn't particularly care how, but it was none of his business. What happened afterwords, that was what mattered. Organics popping up let and right with magic at their fingertips. Ha! 'Magic'. Lockdown didn't put much stock in that kind of superstition. Numerous races from across the stars came out of hiding, some of them suspiciously similar to the natives. Apparently, Earth was the ideal hiding spot.

This was what he'd gathered from the briefing, anyway. Lockdown had only been to Earth a few times, to chase down escaped prisoners or bring in some bot who knew too much. Now that he thought about it, this wouldn't be all that different. He was still hunting, just with different prey. There was something vaguely off-putting about hunting organics. Maybe it was the lack of trophies. It was a disappointing hunt when he didn't have something to show for it in the end and trying that kind of thing on one of those flesh-sacks would just make a big red mess.

He didn't exactly like his new partner, either. Lockdown usually worked alone and having someone else was just more dead weight to drag around once things started to fall apart. Not that he doubted Makeshift's ability, oh no. Shifters were few and far between and working with one provided some unique opportunities. He just didn't trust him. He didn't trust most 'Cons, though, so that was nothing special. It had never occurred to Lockdown that technically he was also a Decepticon, but he didn't particularly care. He could trust them to pay up when the job was done and that was it. Seemed like half of them were ready to stab him in the back the first chance they got and half were just stupid, raging brutes. From the few times he'd actually spoken to Makeshift, Lockdown saw that he fit into the former camp. Not that Lockdown himself was all that different. But even then, it was just business.

Could never count on a bot that he'd never looked in the optics. His real optics, anyhow. He'd never seen what Makeshift actually looked like, just a few fleeting silhouettes and flashes of metal. He was here now, waiting in the cargo bay. He didn't want him in the cockpit and he'd be damned if he was going to let that freak get his servos on his trophies. So the cargo bay it was. Lockdown sat there, in the cockpit, waiting. They would making planetfall soon. Better go get him.

Slowly, the bounty hunter rose from his seat and walked to the cargo bay door, metal feet clanging against the ground. He rapped on the door with his hook, loud banging sound that left noticeable scratches in the metal surface. He stood there, waiting for a response. He didn't like Makeshift, but he was at least going to be polite about it. Best to maintain a somewhat friendly relationship with his new partner rather than an antagonistic one. Not that Lockdown needed to remind himself of that.

After making a call, and being given directions by his handler, Ingrid, Leon stepped forward, only to barely manage to avoid being hit by a van, that seemed to follow the insane driving habits of everyone in this damn country. It's worse then Raccoon City. he thought ironically. His sole experience with the drivers of Raccoon City had been an infected semi-truck driver.

However, with great effort, he finally managed to find his destination. The Tohno mansion. Home of the Tohno family, which according to intelligence consisted of Shiki, the family head despite being adopted into said family, and Akiha, in possession of the the family's so called "demon blood". Reports had not been entirely clear, but the general consensus was that it was some kind of vampiric trait. Also noted were the family maids, the twins Fujou Kohaku and Hisui.

Leon didn't have any thoughts on the subject. His job was only to assess whether the person was a threat. He would moniter the Tohno family, before approaching them. The UPC was always on the look out for talented individuals with experience against parahumans. Fight fire with fire, as it were.

But first to plant a bug. He could then follow them at his leisure, with Hunnigan directing him. He walked up to the front door of the enormous home, and knocked twice.

Vita's mission was rather simple. It was the circumstances she wasn't happy about. She had been pulled away from her family, from Hayate, in order to undertake a scouting mission on earth. After the dangerous attack it was felt that a TSAB presence was required. Vita was among one of the agents deployed. She liked earth just fine, but home(back on Mid-Childa) was where she wanted to be right now.

The lone, red-headed eight-year-old girl walking down the street alone would surely draw attention. At the moment, Vita was just glad that the TSAB's translation devices(translate whatever she heard or read into Japanese, translated whatever she said into whatever language anyone needed to hear) worked well. Knowing only Japanese and Ancient Belkan would've been annoying otherwise. Graf Eisen dangled from the necklace around her neck, in its standby mode. Vita hadn't needed to use it yet... but she almost wanted to at this point.

I have my money on China, but I guess America, Russia and Japan pose a threat too. I mean, with all the weird things that happen there." She explained. She flew around and sat on a nearby post.

"You're starting small. That's good. But you need to re-think whether you want to destroy or enslave. Personally, I'd go with destroy since if you enslave them, there's always a rag tag of teens to take you down. Always a strong hero, his black best friend, the chick, some funny kid and an overpowered fifth addition to the team. May come with issues." She laughed at the end, and gazed at the sun. Don shouted as he wore his balaclava before he ported his M4A1, being glad to know that the media won't be around to film/take pictures on assaulting the mall. Last they need is something that can tip them off.

He remembered how the Philippine media bungled up their coverage of the hostage taking in the capital that allowed a renegade officer to use it to his advantage by threatening the death of his hostages.

Well that won't happen again!

"Joe, you're in charge of Bravo team." Don said as the SDU teams began to approach the parking lot of the WTC. "I'll take Alpha."

"Come in," was the only curt response that the bounty hunter would get.

Lockdown was... an oddity among Cybertronians, Makeshift thought to himself, as he casually flicked though his vast memory banks, selecting a suitable Autobot form and alternate mode. When the war had broken out- long before the Daleks launched their attack on the Autobot colony worlds *

- most Cybertronians had chosen a side and stuck with their leaders... but then, of course, there were always the unscrupulous ones, the treacherous bots that would sell their services to the highest bidder. Chief among them was Lockdown; during the brief time that he had masqueraded as a bounty hunter, he had heard stories about Lockdown and his eccentric habit of stealing upgrades for himself. How much of it was true? He didn't know.

What he did know, however, was that he had a special job to do. And when Megatron told you to do something you did it as quickly and as with little fuss as possible. In this case, that meant hiring some extra help, and when you needed a job like this done, with no questions asked, you hired Lockdown. Of course, he knew that Lockdown was displeased with this arrangement and took every opportunity to show his employer that he had just as much power as Makeshift- mostly by confining him to the cargo hold for the majority of the journey.

When the bounty hunter stepped in, all he would see was blurring, clicking, shifting figure, rapidly changing shape and colour, mechanical plates flipping and folding one another faster than the optic could follow. The Decepticon flickered through a vast array of forms. Faces and limbs blurred into one another, colors flowed up and down his body like a melting rainbow, but eventually his contortions ground to a halt. Standing before Lockdown was a carbon copy of a standard-issue Autobot body-shell, olive green and yellow, with two goggle-like protrusions on his forehead. Makeshift smirked as he looked himself over, ensuring that the disguise was complete- the sinister, stealthy motions entirely out of place with his youthful figure and physique.

"Bring us down outside one of the major population centers, Lockdown," he said idly, tapping a nearby computer console. "We will find local disguises and begin our mission." Had he been addressing another Decepticon, he would have added something to the effect of "All hail Megatron," but for someone like Lockdown, there really was no point, was there?

Hiei sighed and sheathed his katana. Another one down. He wasn't sure if there was any connection to the recent event invasion, but the spirit world had been running him ragged recently. It wasn't the fact that he was killing his own kind that bugged him, but rather the fact that those morons expected him to deal with trash while Urameshi and Kurama had all the fun, most of these couldn't be more than D-ranks.

Perhaps I shouldn't have used so much power on that one...

There was something in the rearview mirror. Someone? With those colors, it was difficult to tell until the flying figure slipped in alongside the car. He saluted and thanked Peacock for the money before flying off, trailed by a dervish of bank notes.

"Wh— Hey!! HEY!! Get back here!" cried the girl, leaning out the window. No dice. Frieza was already up, up, and away, and Peacock was stuck in a moving vehicle.

"Avery, get yer ass off the... huh?" She began to yell at the bird on the pedals to stop, but noticed the alien now had a companion way up in the air. There was no way she could hear what they were saying over the discrepancy in height and the roar of the wind. Peacock pouted, growling to herself.

"He stole my stolen money! What a crack! Hmph!"

More than a little annoyed at several factors, she decided it was time for a light. The car swerved as she took both hands off the wheel to procure herself a cigar, lighting it with a flick of the thumb. Puffing on it a few times, she set the sedan back on track and surveyed the area around. Suburban. Boring! There was nothing bound to be happening here. Looking back up above, she saw the pair of flying people still cruising ahead in the air, engrossed in whatever conversation they were having.

Peacock muttered to herself. "Might as well follow 'em. Gotta get a better ride, though. No sense in wastin' my rocket fuel on a chase like this one."

"Quite." Frieza replied bemusedly. "So, where to begin? I don't believe simply heading straight for the government and attacking would be the best of plans." He pondered aloud.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Don and the rest of Alpha Team climbed up a flight of stairs in the fire escape when they saw that the next flight had been blocked off. Sighing in frustration, he signaled to the rest of the team to hold up while he took a peak outside when he opened the door slowly...

To see one of the armed balaclava-clad gunmen guarding the door with his back facing him. The Eurasian tiptoed until he was able to grab the gunman, using his strength to get the gunman down. Don went out of his way to strangle him until the gunman was unconscious.

"Area A secure. Moving in." Don went on his radio as two Alpha Team members went to drag the gunman and his AKM inside the fire escape. After applying plasticuffs, Don gestured to the team to move in. He then checked the area to see that they were located on the 12th floor.

The hostages should be on the 13th floor and last time intel checked, they mentioned that they were moved to the exhibition hall. It's going to be a deathtrap for all of us. Snipers won't be able to back us up.
