She doesn't really...look ill, just annoyed.: Ill Girl

I don't know, maybe it's just me.

But the girl in the picture doesn't look that sick, just annoyed that someone is touching her face.

But, what do you guys think?

I think it's good.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, if the OP didn't have a point, she kind of looks more annoyed...and the caption isn't helping the image in this case. It only makes me think the girl is annoyed AND faking.

Some suggestions, Hikari (aka Kari) from Digimon.

I'm a touch iffy on Kari's example status, but the top one's great.

Eh, I think the current one is fine, but I would like to see some more examples.

Either of marheaven's first two suggestions works for me...very meh on the current pic.

I will have to agree though that the current picture, is just meh, and the caption makes it even more errrr?

But I think it isn't a good example, just a meh one.

I like the first 2 of the digimon suggestions...the first one the most, since it would appear that the girl is coughing too.

If so, then I don't remember...but, that probably doesn't mean anything...I could just be forgetful atm :/

The current one is better.

It's a pretty clear depiction of a sick bed.

Caption might need some work though.

Except to some people she doesn't look sick.

Therefore it's not a better image.

Sick bed =/= good image if the girl in question doesn't look sick. In fact that looks like just an average girl in bed. With an annoyed expression, she doesn't look that sick to me.

And the sick bed doesn't look like a sick bed, just a bed.

The current pic, for me, is Image Links quality. The suggestion is much clearer.

Just because a few people can't tell doesn't mean the majority can't see this as a sick girl.

I mean this is like the text book Little House On The Prairie type Ill Girl (a genre that by the way uses Ill Girl all the time as a trope). It's got the girl in a sick bed, bundled up, while the father figure checks her face for fever.

You look at it and go: "Oh yeah, she's the sick girl of the show."

The caption is the problem, it's making people think she's faking.

If we are going to change it I'd prefer something like one of these:

The current one isn't great, being from a stage production it's not going to convince everyone as it looks like the girl isn't sick.

I'd definitely say the second Kari image, only the second though as the first looks a lot more like pain than illness alone. Open to other options though.

I like any of the Kari images better than the current image. The caption doesn't help it any.

Exactly, my problem the image isn't clear that she's sick, she doesn't look it.

The caption makes this worse.

Even without the caption, she still doesn't look like a sick girl.

Why not just replace it with the second or third Kari image? At least those are very clear. First not so much, looks like she's in pain not sick and the fourth might be her dead.

I'm still supporting any of the Kari images, especially the second one I suppose.

Another one for the Kari images. I like either of the first two.

Yup, this feels like it needs a crowner to decide because there's three good pics to choose from.
