The pic looks to be fine but I suggest that the cover of the lord of the rings is put as well with the current pic for comparision. Otherwise the pciture is only meaningful to the people that have seen the lord of the rings dvd cover.

Instead of that, how's this (built from the film examples)?

Iirc the third movie looked closer to the knockoff.

[up] Eh, not so much...the first film's pic has more of the elements used by the porn parody than the third.

Any combination should be fine, definitely an improvement from the current.

(And that one Raso linked looks like an interesting and thoughtful piece of cinema.)

[up][up] That could work...but I'm going to be out of the house for pretty much the entire day so someone else will need to put it together.

I think the Neverending Story cover paired with LOTR would be better, since it doesn't even have the excuse of being The Mockbuster or Parallel Porn Titles.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

Ah... Good point.

EDIT: Parallel Porn Titles has no picture! So we get to kill two birds with one stone. (Or three, if we deem that The Mockbuster needs a comparison title as well, which isn't hard to do.)

Well we can just shrink The Mockbuster picture and put the original film cover next to it.

The cover of the mockbuster doesn't look a think like the cover of rataouille.

That trope doesn't require copycat covers though.

Agree for #20 on all 3 counts.
