Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

If I'm understanding the timeline correctly, it's theoretically possible Odin could have run into Wenwu while defending Earth from frost giants. They'd probably be on the same side, since Wenwu certainly wouldn't want frost giants destroying the world either. Could make an interesting What If Episode.

I missed the part where that's my problem.I'd love to see that.
That would be cool. On a similar note, I'd like to see Wenwu in the past interacting with Kang the Conqueror.
Wenwu would be a Barbarian Hero (well, more like villain) warlord and Kang would be the "Sage from the West" or something like that, and would give Wenwu's army machine guns.

I still wonder if Wenwu and the Eternals would've encountered each other at some point. It seems entirely plausible.
In regards to Janet, I'm hoping she plays a bigger role in Quantumania. Because I agree there hasn't been much done with the character done yet, especially with Michelle Pfeiffer playing her. And seeing how she was in the Quantum Realm for many years and didn't turn into a zombie, she might be the key to fighting against Kang.
I'm also hoping for an 80s or perhaps 70s team shown of everyone's years working at S.H.I.E.L.D, but I don't know if that's going to happen.
Trust no one.I have a question. What would you think if they introduce the Master of Evil into the MCU? We got Zemo, unfortunately not a very large pool of still alive villains to recruit but that could change.
Sincerely S Awatching.I think the general consensus is that they are building up to an anti-Avengers team of sketchy folk, and that it’ll probably draw from various supervillain team-ups, so sure.
So far, I can see Baron Zemo, Abomination, Yelena Belova, U.S Agent and possibly Ghost joining that lineup. But it's too soon to tell just yet.
Trust no one.I don't know if Yelena Belova would be on that list, still even if does lead to the Master it would be too early to tell, so your right. Depending on how Spide-man goes we could have one of the Sinister-whatever their number is- joining the list. Maybe even a few from the Disney + sereis. We got Kang from there.
Sincerely S Awatching.I highly doubt that Kang or any Spider-Man villains are going to be joining the Dark Avengers thing that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine may or may not be setting up. Kang likely has his own agenda that doesn't intersect with that idea, and having anything Sinister Six related that has them fight people who aren't Spider-Man seems weird, especially with the contractual issues with Sony.
Trust no one.We had this same convo about the dragon in the Shang-Chi Lego kit some months back, which wound up being legit. Given there's also other merchandise for the film featuring the character in question, I think it's likely they'll be showing up.
Speaking of green baddies, an Ant-Man 3 crew shirt that allegedly has Kang suited up.
These Dark Avengers wouldn't be the Master of Evil, a rival possibility, maybe even the Thunderbolts. The Master's endgame (this is becoming a pun) is almost always the destruction of the Avengers as a whole. Also, spider-man villains have clashed with other heroes on a regular basis, but yay sony would make it difficult.
Sincerely S Awatching.Again, the character in question being Gargantos, not Shuma-Gorath.
As I recall, the Shang Chi thing was a Funko Pop that released like a month before the film came out, also.
Holy shit.
Yes. Must happen.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The LEGO Shang-Chi dragon leak was all the way back in February. While caution is always a good thing, I’m thinking this is most likely legit, though not a 1:1 recreation of the film of course.

There was also a Funko Pop where Killmonger holds an Ultron head, which is a pretty big thing about What If's final episode.
It's been 3000 years…I like how since we're adapting more obscure stories it does add some new material to crossover stories which tend to be pretty rote greatest hits type fairs.
Like how Ultimate Alliance 3 was an Infinity Stones story because that is literally the only thing anyone ever does with Thanos.
So ya know fun material here for the next Lego Marvel or UA game to prolly involve Shang-Chi stuff, What-If stuff, and Eternals stuff in some capacity.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."What If would make a great game with a lot of chapters or stand alone stories or something but I can’t figure out what gameplay would be best
If it’s heavy combat then the What Ifs don’t stand apart as much as they should
Forever liveblogging the AvengersLego What If...?
If What If...? were a game, I'm pretty everyone would only want to play as Strange Supreme, haha.
Trust no one.He gets the best abilities but the game autochooses the worst dialogue options
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think it would work best as an episodic series of interactive movies with a lot of different endings.
It's been 3000 years…Why was anybody else even there at What If...?'s final battle? Strange Supreme practically solo'd Ultron.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think its more that Uatu knows the specific combination of people he needs to summon who will then eventually lead to a specific moment where Ultron is defeated. Its kinda a convoluted time-whimey thing where he knew the outcome of summoning the specific people to take ultron down

The Final NameBecause it was blatantly clear when Ultron realized he should kill Strange that he could do it relatively easy if he was the main focus.
I'd be down for an 80's team.
Something I hope they pick up on is that since Wenwu's been around thousands of years, they could have him show up again as an antagonist in the past.
We could totally get a story - for example - in which Howard Stark and Wenwu are archenemies, and Howard sends the 70's / 80's equivalent of Avengers after him, and shenanigans happen.
