- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

Every failure of the characters in Infinity War can be traced directly to their character arcs and established traits. This is good writing. They don't do what would make the most sense if they knew they were characters in a heroic story; they do what they think they should do, with incomplete knowledge, emotional attachments, and ego.

Good writing isn’t merely characters doing foolish things, but learning from them, or demonstrating the tragedy that they did not.
And also to not make them regress without reason on lessons they already learned.

...So, when everybody was trying to get the gauntlet off of thanos and thanos let slip that he sacrificed Gammora for the Soul Gem, would Quill merely shooting him in his head with his laser pistol have worked instead of hitting him?
You know, how a pistol of any type is meant to work? With projectiles and not as a club?
Because I recollect shouting at him to shoot him with it when I saw that.

Surely it went back onto the market once Tony sold it and moved his stuff out during Homecoming. The only question is who owns it currently.

Someone was apparently REALLY annoyed by this meme.
Really it was foolish to try to beat Thanos anywhere when he can instantly warp somewhere with the Space Stone that they knew he had. But I buy that the Guardians wouldn't, after hearing that the Power Stone had been taken and Xandar had been half wrecked, just abandon Knowhere too.
It would have been pragmatic to consider it already lost and find somewhere to stash Gamora but thats not the kind of person Gamora was or the Guardians were.
And thats the reason why she didn't go with Thor or anywhere else even though it would have been smarter.
