Out of curiosity, what would you have picked as the main partner? Just want to see the ideas.
Wake me up at your own risk.Renamon or Guilmon but Agumon is fine too.
Impmon, Agumon, Shoutmon; there are many good choices.
How about a Tyranomon (yes, I know it's a Champion) simply so that it can finally get its evolution lines fleshed out?
Really silly how it still doesn't have a non-virus Mega and it's only viral Ultimate/Mega forms are cyborgs.
I would go with Commandramon, I really like the idea of dinosaur soldier.

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.I’d team up with a Keramon.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hagurumon
Alternatively for a Digimon that hasn't been a starter in anything, then Bakumon
I'm torn between Commandramon and Keramon. On the other hand, Bemmon hasn't had an appearance since its debut in Digimon World 3 and I'd like to see more of it.

Official website for Digimon Survive's up, with the confirmation that Digimon Survive details will be revealed at the Digimon Thanksgiving on July 29th.
The composer is Tomoki Miyoshi who did the music for I am Setsuna
A better look at the battlefield◊, I think these models are different from Cyber Sleuth's or at least more touched up.
Toyagumon easily for me~
An evil looking Digimon like Demi Devimon would be appealing to me.
Wake me up at your own risk. The main artist for Digimon Survive is Uiti Ukumo and a look at his other artwork seems to indicate he cleared the very low bar of not being as terrible as Yasuda
And I am so so glad they're bringing back portraits for dialogue because while Cyber Sleuth's style worked, I'm still salty that they got friggin' Taiki to do the art for Next Order but couldn't translate his gorgeous artwork into the game at all.

I finally finished Digimon Adventure tri..
My general final impression was that it wasn't a bad series (it certainly made a lot more sense and was structured a lot better than 02), but it felt oddly... lacking. Not just the fact that the 02 kids were Put on a Bus and just forgotten about, but that it didn't really seem to do service to a lot of the characters.
I think a lot of this stems from the fact that the new mega-level digivolutions were really just sort of shoehorned in. Previously, in the Adventure canon, new digivolutions almost always happened when the characters went through a major realization or character growth. Here, they just sort of... happened, because the plot demanded they do.
I can understand why Mei and Meicoomon were divisive characters, but I actually didn't dislike them. I think most of the issues stemming from them have to do with the movie format making their characterization feel oddly paced and a bit rushed, where a longer episodic anime could make their character moments spaced out a bit better.
Finally, there's the cliffhanger ending with Evil Gennai, and the as-yet-unresolved plot threads involving him. I was really surprised to see that happen, but I do have a theory. It's a bit of a long shot, but I think that Evil Gennai is being possessed or controlled by Piedmon. He notably calls the human characters "clowns", which is a very specific phrase to use, and we know for a fact that Piedmon had in the past planted something in Gennai's body.
You think the upcoming game(s) will tie into tri at all since everything is canon?
The Protomen enhanced my life. There are multiple Gennai originally. And Alphamon himself is left unexplained and a loose plot thread as well..
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Split between the loyal Labramon since i love dogs or the fiery Vorvomon because its a dragon-species.

lol no
Next Order's tie-in had the impact of a wet noodle and neither Cyber Sleuth game gave a shit beyond the mandatory Agumon and some fanservice
re: Gennai, yeah one of the silhouettes in the pods at the facility was Gennai which to me signalled that's what happened to the Gennai we knew from the first two series and that evil Gennai is someone different
It'd be easy to explain it as the dark orb Piedmon stuck in Gennai corrupted one of his copies or allowed Piedmon to revive as a Gennai copy.

Clearly there's a evil Gennai and the Gennai we know snd love corrupted by Piedmon and a Piedmon possessed Gennai.
The (Un)Holy Trinity.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. There's an online poll going until August 20th where you can vote once a day for the next Digimon to get an X-Antibody version. Both first place and second place will get one. It's pretty simple, just click the red button for whichever Digimon you want
I'm voting for Zeed Millenniumon because I want to see what they could possibly do with its design
I went for the opposite and picked Justimon.
I voted Numemon!
The Protomen enhanced my life.If clicking the red button is voting, then I also voted for Justimon.
Though now I wonder if I should have kept looking before I did so.
Anyway, are we seeing a re-surge of X Digimon? Cause this seems pretty out of the blue all of a sudden.
One Strip! One Strip!Voted Apocalymon, because I want to see how even more bizarre they can make him.
A new Digimon game is always a good sign. It looks interesting so far, but I don't really play strategy RP Gs. We will probably hear more about the game at the Digimon Thanksgiving event in the next two weeks. Maybe at Comic Con.
