It's one of the reasons I prefer the older style of gear in the games - weapons allowing for more combos, or just handling differently. The mechanics of it feel a bit too grindy. Now, if those weapons could be donated to an army or crew, so you can use the junk to outfit your NPC mates, then that'd be fun.
I like the way Kingdom Come Deliverance handles weapons - based on YOUR stats, how you handle them and so on. Some combos can only be done with certain weapons, each is more effective against types of enemies and so on.
I also miss the assassin recruits. Sure, it was a bit of a slog, but it was so much fun to have an army of master assassins at your beck and call.
Optimism is a duty.It takes a hundred rows and several dozen marines to crew a ship. Why not also bring troops ashore?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youT Hat reminds me of that one time I thought I was being clever and tried to use my ship on a shoreline encampment. Sadly, those arrows only work on ships, not on NP Cs.
And the Adrestia is not a transport ship. There is no room for troops. Though it would be fun if you could bring your crew. Your crew does get involved sometimes, but only off-screen.
Optimism is a duty. You DO have troops. Who do you think is fighting your naval battles?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youGames industry professionals and writers were all letting each other know on Twitter to cancel their travel and accommodation last night, and several were saying they had multiple sources, so yeah. This wasn’t remotely unexpected.
And nothing of value was lost.
Wonder if they still Doxx their guests.
They dox their guests? How so?
Optimism is a duty.Last year they had excel sheets listing every attendee and their contact info (Meant for distribution among the various people having shows and booths at E3) on an unsecured website accessible to anyone who knew what to search for. The list included everyone that had attended every E3 from 2016 onward and their contact information including addresses.
Note that this wasnt the first time they accidently leaked that list.

That's not exactly doxing. Doxing would imply that they leaked it on purpose.
Optimism is a duty. So, I finished up Odyssey last week. I might detail my exact thoughts later, but while it wasn't my favorite game in the series I definitely felt like I got my money's worth.
Now, on to the last mainline AC game that I haven't yet played: Unity. I grabbed it for 12 bucks, so what's the worst experience I could get?
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I gotta say, I do like the parkour in Unity, after Origins and Odyssey simplified it. Not sure about the combat or story yet though.
I do hope the next game returns us to the actual Assassin-Templar war, rather than setting it up/using it as a side piece.
But damn, did Sean Hastings get hit my Character Derailment in this one. His in-game writings are just awful.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Yeah they lost the thread after the supposed big World Ending Event got solved. And also the whole Juno thing gets dealt with... IN A COMIC.
Ugh.
Templar and Assassins, looking to control the world, that's good. Have th alien stuff as a framing device only, not the core plot. Odyssey going down that route was fine due to the Mystical god side (And I think we'll see a Norse version of that with the next game); but more modern day stuff to sell the action would help.
The Juno thing was really the fans' fault, though, after the apparent backlash over too much modern day story and bland Desmond. And then they decided the Nameless Protagonist thing was not working at all, and ditched the whole concept, including Juno. And now we are basically building up an entirely new modern story line, although it is still rather abstract and vague.
Optimism is a duty. After that last encounter in Odyssey, I have concluded that Berg is the biggest idiot in the entire franchise.
Why the Hell wasn't he carrying a handgun or a SMG?! The moron deserved what he got for that alone...
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Do we have the setting confirmed?
Unless that was an official statement, no.
Optimism is a duty. What happened to Juno? I stopped playing after Syndicate.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. She disappeared from the games and was rather unceremoniously killed off in a spinoff comic no one read.
Optimism is a duty.ah, the PROTOTYPE school of writing.
Secret SignatureThe Norse setting sounds cool, and it would take place when the Templars and Assassins actually exist and are fighting each other, so that's plus.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Does it? I wasn't aware the historical assassins operated so far west.
Optimism is a duty.
Yes, I definitely recommend going for Epic and ignoring Legendary unless you really like the stats. Epic is more versatile because it doesn't have the locked in engraving that Legendary stuff has, which needs a full set to boot. Also, this means that you can have five armour engravings instead of just the one for the set.
I'm very happy that you can customize the weapons skins, by the way. Stops me from looking like a rummage sale reject.
But yeah, this system is unwieldy and unsatisfying. I'd much prefer the older games, where you got a limited, clearly delineated set of weapons and armour.
