Looks less like GOSICK than expected. So that's good
Looks good enough. I'll probably bite.
too bad that the main character very much likely will be unable to pronounce his own name.
Oh look it's Ono Daisuke again. I'm getting kinda tired of hearing him in leading character roles.
Please be gentle with me.how will they troll us this time
They will troll us by using their reputation for trolling, and reveal in the final episode that there has been absolutely no trolling.
Seriously, though, the series seems to be a bot too straightforward for that sort of thing.
It's an adaptation of a light novel series, so unless there's trolling in the original story I don't think there will be trolling here. Unless Gainax plans to deviate from the story.
Tumblr here.Gainax's reputation is overblown. They really don't do that sort of thing very often
Aww. It looks subdued and paced and intelligent. I guess we'll always have Demonbane if i want to think about what would happened if Cthulhu invaded the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann universe.
Anyways, i'll have to give the show a shot. Demons, anime and the 1920's apparently go together really well.
Bleye knows Sabers.Looks like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was a sign of better times, and that Gainax might be moving away from their post-FLCL slump (or at least I'm hoping). I'm eager to see it just for the period trappings alone.

It looks watchable.........thought can't really give any real opinions without watching an episode or two.
It still looks like one of the better anime this season, along with Nurarihiyon and Baka Test...
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I actually read the first novel and found it to be pretty mediocre.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Hmm... well, it's at least not as bizarre as suddenly doing an anime about Kindergarteners out of no where, but I'll try it.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.... did those credits just say they took on Baby, The Stars Shine Bright and Alice And The Pirates as wardrobe consultants? XD
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!I recall news of the show surfacing way back last year, when people mistaken it for ongoing work on Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt. It seemed Gainax was insistent on getting the look and feel of the setting right, even allowing international talent to jump in. While it's supposed to be set during the interbellum I can't help feeling the show has a Victorian vibe to it though.
So I take the show was in production for more than a year? And has anyone been able to ID the English manor the show is set in?

Seems beautiful.
We need more foreign talents in Japanese animation. More interculturality and cross-polinization.
The Quiet One. No OTT. No unfunny. No squick. No crusades. Harmless and clean.Would you cut it the fuck out with the niconico? >_< One, not everyone reads kana and kanji and understands Japanese, and two, even those of us who do a bit don't necessarily have or want an account there. Can't you find a less bloody inconvenient site?
... I should go back to sleep.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!I was just linking to the english simulcast...
Oooh, this actually looks interesting. I'll put it on my list of things I'll start watching quite soon.
A hardsubbed rip of the Nico broadcast is already out on Tokyo Tosho (under the somewhat deceptive name "Nico-Raws"), so that should be one less reason for Furiko Maru to rage.
Please be gentle with me.Well, that was pretty average. Decent premise and beautiful animation, but weird pacing and some badly framed shots (especially when destroying the dragon). Also I hate Dalian already. At least Huey is more interesting than Kujo...
That girl at the beginning looked a bit like Goddess!Madoka, IMO... But I'm just rambling.
Looks like a more "mystical" Gosick. I'm strangely Ok with that.
BYOON~!Good start, but not excellent. Seems like more of an adventure of the week type thing at this point.
I do like Huey though. For once, a protagonist that doesn't freak out in the face of the abnormal. Dalian is okay so far and some of her interactions with Huey were funny, but she has some disturbing shades of Index.
Please dear god not another one.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial
As for the main plot: "In this story, a young man in 1920s London meets a girl who handles the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian, the forbidden books of demonic wisdom."
Looks pretty interesting!
