General Mario Thread

Hmm, I wonder if they're gonna have stages with traditional mario hazards. The only inkling I could see of that was in the desert stage with Stone-Eyes. But I want the thwomps and chain chomps.

Been having trouble with the 3D World port. Its mostly my own carelessness, but Peach doesn't float as long as I expected and I plummet to my doom.

It's the speed increase that makes it more difficult for me. Especially with Toad... It feels like I'm playing Sonic in a Mario game that was NOT built for him.

100%'d Bowser's Fury. That last boss fight was harder than it first looked. It would be pretty hard if I didn't have all those powerups to act as extra health. So now I've got small giga-cat Mario and Meowser!

The conflicting observations are why my headcanon still says Wet-Dry World takes place in Caracas, Venezuela.

I should have actually read that tweet instead of just looking at the GIF. "Not Spain" is the first thing it says.

It's still regrettable that there's a deadline at all, so I'm glad I got to scoop my copy.

So I've been reading this fan-comic called Undertoad. Basic gist is that it's an AU that puts the cast in the same situation as the monsters in Undertale. Recently the creators did a Q&A to celebrate its 5th anniversary.

I recommend checking out the comic, first few chapters are a bit rough and are even in the process of being remade but it eventually gets better.

It even has a soundtrack too

Initially the comic was just Undertale but with Mario characters with the non-remade pages of the Ruins arc being proof of that what with them having Napstablook appear but as a boo. It’s why the Ruins arc is being remade. Either way, a lot has actually happened like a Poker game instead of a date for starters.

Maybe Nintendo will actually pull 3D All-Stars off the eShop and retail stores on March 31st just so that they can release an updated version later on, with Super Mario Galaxy 2 included. Hey, they did that with the original Super Mario All-Stars by making an updated version that also featured Super Mario World, so I think it's safe to say that unless Nintendo reveals why they left out Galaxy 2, they'll probably pull the same tactic with 3D All-Stars.
