The Tokyo Game Show is also likely. Whenever a Bayonetta is in development, they usually have at least one trailer for it there.
Watch SymphogearBayonetta 2 Director Yusuke Hashimoto has left Platinum as of January 31st.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Hey so the Bayonetta event is ending in the Shin Megami Tensei mobile game and it had a the vocal version of Jeane's theme Red and Black in it, previously made for a Pachislot game apparently. I really, really like it.
And seriously is it just me or is it not dripping with Ship Tease? Although really there's nothing explicitly stating they aren't already in a happy and stable relationship...
Bleye knows Sabers.I mean, Bayonetta and Jeanne are living together.
So the first Bayonetta is on sale on Steam for five bucks. It's kinda hard for anything not to be worth it at that price, but I don't have a lot of free time, so I figured I should pop in here first. What's the game like, exactly? I have this vague idea of it being like NieR: Automata with less plot, so lots of sexy fighting ladies.
Automata was made by the same folks, so the similarities aren't just skin deep.
Bayonetta is very, very good. You will enjoy it. And if you don't, I will personally send you five bucks.
Bleye knows Sabers.I’ll give you a Hershey’s chocolate bar.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The combat in bayonetta is better than nier, and the enemies especially are better.
I find enemies are what partially make for a great action game, and if they aren't fun to fight, your action game will suffer. Plus the way bayonetta introduces them with a cutscene and splash screen is really awesome.
Joy's is a personal favorite.
Yeah as someone who's playing Nie R right now and highly enjoying it, its combat and enemy design is deliberately not as in-depth as something like Bayo. Nier is a narrative game with polished but simple mechanics, Bayo is a gameplay-driven game with much more satisfying enemies to fight and more depth to its gameplay overall.
And in natural reversal to that, the story to Bayo while adequate is nothing too much to write home about barring some good moments.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I’ve played both, and I agree with the assessments above that while Nier may have the better story and narrative, the action in Bayonetta has the superior combat system, stylish and satisfying. It’s one of those combat systems that’s really easy to pick up, but mastering takes some practice.
You’d be doing yourself a disservice by not picking up the game, especially at $5. Also Bayonetta herself is just plain badass, so there’s that too.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. You know, I would really like to see Bayo 3 take a cure from DMCV's book and have her gain an ultra super mode similar to how Dante got one:
Like, have her become an entity like Madama Butterfly or something.

At the time of this post, Bayonetta 3 has been MIA for more than a year and a half, with no substantial updates since that Game Awards teaser. I'm assuming that's because Nintendo and Platinum Games want to focus on Astral Chain right now.
That latter game is coming out this week, and there's fairly backed up rumors of a Nintendo Direct coming early next month. Think we're finally due for some major Bayonetta 3 news?
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.Yep. I can see the game being released next year. We might get a gameplay teaser both at the Direct, and maybe a demo at TGS.
Betting Bayonetta will go back into Space again for this one. Not doing so in 2 for its final boss was a major misstep that made feel more grounded then it really should be, despite everything else being even more over the top.
Watch SymphogearBecause someone goofed over at Microsoft, Bayo 1 is getting a 4K 60 FPS remaster for Xbox One next year! Celebrating 10 years (even if it's a few months late...)!
Oh, and Vanquish is also getting a 4K remaster for Xbox One in honor of its 10th anniversary!
AND you can get both games in a bundle!
Bump.
Now they officially reveal it!
I hope the new game, if it ever comes out, integrates new types of spells into gameplay. Like illusion casting or teleportation.
I forgot how good this song was.
Boy did this comment not age well.
Also, wasn't Bayonetta owned by SEGA? Hilarious because Bayonetta's plot was "meh" but the soundtrack was just fire. SEGA seems to have a thing for that.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Awesome games,my only problem is 2 go too overload on hiting every plot beat of The first game,Just think of the Lumen Sage and that he have Jeanne's role on the plot and what happens latter will becomes very obviou by turning him as a even more Darth Vader.
I currently very worried about 3,everything Just screans development hell for me.
Edit: I Just realize that I post on the first game tread not franchise,is too bad as a issue ? I will correct that latter.

Hideki Kamiya breaks silence on Bayonetta 3 development
Bayonetta 3 Development Still ‘Progressing Smoothly,’ According to Hideki Kamiya
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Hopefully it will be released within my lifetime.
Where there's life, there's hope.I mean, better a good game that takes a while to release than a rushed, unfinished one.

Oissu!
... so, any idea when the next trailer for 3 is?
It's been about 8-9 months since the Game Awards teaser, and we haven't gotten anything. Nintendo hasn't revealed their full 2018 Switch lineup yet, so unless the game really is a 2019 release, I'm hoping we get some sort of trailer the next time there's a Nintendo Direct.
