I was going to ask the same question. I downloaded the OST, but that song was missing for some reason. I have the new translated version. I like it. Better than Tokyo Pop's. Still, if Tokyo Pop never got it, I never would have read it.
Anyway, random question, but what do you think of Ringo, the character from the game?
I think she's really cute, but I've seen people not like her because they think she's a copy of Pudding. I have to disagree there, because Ringo doesn't act like Pudding at all. I think she's like Madoka Kaname. Just Ringo is younger, and doesn't go through as much cutie breaking as Madoka.
I have never played the PS 1 game, but Ringo seems pretty cool.
I should probably get the new translations sometime.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.I found a ROM for it, so I plan to play it. I've mostly been watching Let's Plays on Nico Nico Douga. Ringo's page on the Tokyo Mew Mew wiki is pretty misleading. With the Japanese I do understand, she doesn't seem to act like how the page describes her.
I need to work on my Japanese, though, if I want to play. I wish it had an english patch. There don't seem to be anyone willing to translate Tokyo Mew Mew stuff.
And the raw manga is literally IMPOSSIBLE to find online
Interesting.
Someone should probably translate the game so we know how she acts and stuff.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.What I found funny is the fact the page described her as 'funky'
Who even uses that sort of language? She is so not what you would call 'funky'
I have a question about Mew Zakuro, although I'm not sure if there is even a canon answer for it. I've read on descriptions that she lives alone because she was estranged from her parents, and that her mother might appear off-screen in one scene. It's been awhile since I've watched the anime, but I don't remember exactly what was described, although I remember something that looked like someone she knew died. Is there a canon reason for why she lives away from her parents?
I really like her, but that one part is kind of confusing and I have at least one fanfic planned that she would be in and I wanted to accurately portray her canon living situation.
I think it's shown in a flashback about her getting mad and leaving, but I think that's all the detail they go into, IIRC.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.I'm trying to get the anime off my "To-Watch" list after 13+ years, but I lost interest after 11 episodes. It feels hard to get into after getting into Sailor Moon.
On a different note, it's surprising to learn that Mew Mew Power only had 23 episodes in the US. I only vaguely remember it but it seemed popular. It apparently got Screwed by the Merchandise. I wonder if it could ever get a new dub or sub release.

Yeah, it was dubbed by 4kids, then it just stopped. They also made it Americanized as usual.
Americanization was the norm at the time, The target audience didn't really care, though.
True. Wish we could have gotten a faithful dub that completed the anime. Also I would note that this series could be shown as the best example of what magical girl shows were like Post-Sailor Moon. However, anyone who actually watches these shows Tokyo Mew Mew is focused more on environmentalism, animals, and food. Ichigo is your usual Stock Standard Shoujo Heroine in these kinds of shows, but she's not a Usagi/Serena clone.

Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. This is great! Hope they don't overdo the Masaya x Ichigo romance like the OG anime
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI loved that...
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I never disliked their romance unlike a lot of the older fanbase but episodes like when Ichigo was more preoccupied thinking about how she was tainted by a stranger kissing her on the street and she could no longer look Masaya in the eye rather than the fact that said stranger was related to the monsters and could fucking fly played with my patience especially when I knew it wasn't present in the manga
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysJust between you and me, I preferred Quiche over Masa because I didn't think he was all that interesting even after the reveal he was Deep Blue's alter ego.
I liked Quiche when he was a tease but there were moments when I felt he crossed several lines. Though this is quite the timing when Daruizen reminided me of a less flirty and yandere version of him
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI wonder how will 2021 Quiche fare with American fans because they are now much less enamored of that kinda guy.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Hard to say. Its not like problematic types like him aren't still super popular an he's an enemy but people will probably side eye him more when he does stuff like kiss Ichigo out of the blue and try to strangle her when she says she doesn't like him
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI was very surprised when I heard the news about this getting a new anime, never thought it had enough of a fanbase in Japan for that. Frankly, I don't know what to expect because personally, I liked the first anime way better than the manga. In the manga, the focus was always Ichigo and her shoujo romance with Masaya that I found quite boring with pretty much everything else being a backdrop to that. Even the other Mew Mews and aliens besides Quiche weren't very memorable there.
In the first anime, they did many episodes that fleshed out the other members of the cast and explored their personal lives, families and relationships. That's what made me enjoy it along with it having been the first anime I watched in Japanese. One of my favorites was Bu-Ling and Tart because I have a soft spot for male Tsundere even now and their cute dynamic was a nice contrast to the creepy Yandere behavior Quiche had towards Ichigo. The only thing I really didn't like with the Bu-Ling anime material was that episode where a much older guy comes out of nowhere and becomes her fiancé because of a deal with her father; that was just wrong.
HOLY FUCK WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER DAD! Sorry about the all caps but what!?
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Bu-Ling's father is the sort of man who despite being a widower, runs off to do training at mountains while leaving his elementary school-aged daughter take full responsability for herself and her five little siblings with no adult help whatsoever, to the point Bu-Ling had to become a performer at the park to earn money. Him basically betting Bu-Ling as a prize to another adult man who she has never met before without even consulting her about it first only reinforces he's a garbage dad. The fiance is a creepy douche too for saying yes to taking a minor as his wife-to-be and deliberately not telling Bu-Ling about the pact involving her future until after he already defeated her and the deal is sealed. Really, Bu-Ling's situation is a major example of Social Services Does Not Exist. It's a miracle that sweet girl can be as cheerful as she is with that much neglect and stress at a young age. I admit it's kinda disturbing how a Magical Girl anime can just gloss over something that serious. Thinking about all that, Tart actually might be the most decent guy Bu-Ling has ever known and considering he tried to kill her and her friends whenever they met until she got on his good side, that says a lot.
Does anyone know the name of the song that plays when Kish is dying?
Oh wait never mind I found out what it's called (Kanashii Dekigata).
