Hmm, been thinking lately of adding another character to Adventure. Was thinking of putting them near the Wasteland beach group, though I could also add one straight into the wasteland to interact with Joseph.
Joseph has a large blobby sand nightmare full of bones and internal organs in hot pursuit, so that's something you may want to consider ahead of time.
Hoping to have a forest post done before I go to sleep.
Regarding the Rosalind's notice, it was on the thread page before, but was removed. I figured my post could reflect that.
Spiral out, keep going.Agh, I've taken too long. It will be done tomorrow, I promise.
every little word and every little step@Wolf
We already did on page 32. I figured you would make a travel post or just an intro for the forest since your characters are driving.
Stoned hippie without the stoned. Or the hippie. My AO3 Page, grab a chair and relax.and I did post here, further down page 32, starting them off on the journey and leaving an opening for Jean and Ulf to converse with the others on the way.
I can skip forward to them arriving at the forest if you'd prefer to gloss over the actual travel.
I'm baaack! My internet is back to its usual accessibility. I might not have had time to read everything thoroughly before my return, are there any important posts or fractions of posts that I failed to acknowledge in my story posts?
@Millership: Ah, I remember keeping it commented out with %% while waiting for the exact moment Rosalind would actually write the notice. I'm glad the little retcon you did worked out so well. So Parthenia just took the notice — one more trope for the page...

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight. That might be Joseph's most garbled speech yet, so if you need a cheat sheet, he's saying: "I woke up like this, and it's hard to talk, and I don't know what's happening to me."
He should get better if and when things calm down for him. And with practice, of course.

every little word and every little stepI edited the section for Moobly and Nora a bit to account for them not being fully tech savvy. Nora knows engines run on gas (she's technically American, but that's a story for later), or rather, naphtha, but that's about it.
Hey @Ryuhza, you won't be too overwhelmed with the amount of people in the Forest, will you?
Also, @Will, your turn to post.

It can be a little difficult to determine or decide what happens when, but hopefully things will ease up once the situation normalizes a bit, and once Henry and Joseph's presence becomes less of an event. The posts might not be pretty, but I think I'll manage for the time being.
edit: Not sure if I'll have time to write anything tonight, but tomorrow should be the latest.
doubleedit: Wolf, I believe it's Matiu's turn in the Forest.

every little word and every little stepI'm having a pretty intense week, in more ways than one. I'll try to get another post done tomorrow.
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.@Wolf: You skipped Maitu, lol
Yeah, I see that. Part way through writing a post but it may take some time to finish between work and family stuff. Took me two or three days just to write Sophia, Peggy and Karl's bit.
Slysheen and WillDeRegio do you want me to skip ahead to the arrival at the forest or to somewhere along the route to the forest?
Edit of the edit: Managed to get a quick post up for Matty.

I suppose you could skip to the forest if you want.
Dropped a new character on the Wasteland Beach group. I think I'll introduce a new one this weekend on Wasteland itself.
A veritable lineup, I see. Posting is gonna take a while. Probably won't finish tonight. Hopefully tomorrow, but I also fear tomorrow will be rife with distractions. I'll try.
every little word and every little stepI'm pretty easy either way. Depends on whether or not people want to talk with each other on the way to the forest.
Okay, first, just to make things clear: nobody's at the rainforest right now, correct? It seems Murquoql was there, and the spheroid dropship is still there, but no idea if anyone inside is going to explore it. Someone entering it would be my cue to uh, give a status report of the happenings in the rainforest, after all.
I would also like to point out two things that seem like discrepancies in the last post I just did that were in fact deliberate:
1. Nui's thought about being hungry, despite mentioning having no appetite for the food in their pocket just one post prior
2. The confusion over labeling Varg as an orc or an ogre; in Crownen (the world Sindar and Nyceme are from) those terms are pretty much interchangeable, whereas "haugr" is never used.
Also, writing Nui's part felt a little awkward to me tonight, for I had just finished watching several episodes of Kill la Kill. Turns out there's a character in that anime named Nui. Who has far more in common with Lucina (a character I had in Space Liner) than with my own Nui.

Come, my child of the devil. Your mother is calling you. Hear my call in Hell's grand hall, where all our dreams come true.Hey, I actually got it done before I went to sleep! And it only cost me the sleep!
Sorry for not acknowledging Sallara yet, Pyxo. I couldn't figure out how to fit it in neatly at this particular turn. Also, is David a near-naked merwoman magnet? Double also, new band name.
Post double also, for anyone considering rushing or splitting from whatever proceedings your characters are involved with in order to go rescue older!Joseph in the wasteland, the situation isn't quite as dire as it may seem. Not yet, anyhow. Big thing is that Joe hasn't actually looked behind himself in a while.
@Will De Regio: The way my universe's telepathy works is complicated. How exactly is Unit 09 engaging in telepathy? Is Unit 09 on the biological branch of telepathy or the mechanical branch?
If it's the mechanical branch, then the Mayatans shouldn't be able to directly "hear" Unit 09, but Unit 09 would be on the Hummingbird's guest LAN where the Mayatans would be able to "hear" via their communication microchips.
If it's the biological branch, then that just opens up more questions and potential problems. Would that mean Unit 09 is organic technology? If so, why didn't you tell me sooner so that I could have wrote Nyorla as "overhearing" Unit 09 down on the planet? If not, then... well... there's goinna be a mess.
There are two types of minds that Mayatans can't read: mechanical and eldritch. It's a good thing that Mayatans can't read mechanical minds, otherwise Morpho would not be safe from Sarquoql's mind-control. A mechanical computer interfacing directly with a biological mind — in other words, without using the adapter that the Web's communication microchips have — would cause Moquoql and Nyorla to become alarmed at the different universe's magic causing a potential security breach that Sarquoql could try to exploit if he found out.
All in all, it would be simplest to use the guest LAN as the telepathic medium.
@ladytanuki, you must have missed my post where Seenarnha examines a dead tree.
Also, I need a reminder for the group at the river. Which snake lady is carrying the ward against unthinking undead?
I know the ward is not calibrated against Rosalind specifically, but she still feels it monitoring her mind. I'm not sure if the ward would kick in if Rosalind panics enough to revert to primitive fight-or-flight, but it would definitely kick in if Rosalind faints.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Random fact: "Haugr" is an Old Norse word meaning "cairn" or "burial mound" among other things. I'm using it as a reference to how classical Scandinavian trolls were sometimes said to live in lairs beneath large stones. Also, haugr have a stone-like skin texture and the word kind of sounds close to "ogre". Obscure references and wordplay ftw!
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.@Corvidae: You ninja'd me. You might want to edit your post, Rosalind is under the mistaken impression that Nyceme is here to kill her, so she fled from Jann's side the instant Nyceme emerged from the wagon.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Done. I removed the last part with the greetings.
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.
Should hopefully settle on my character(s) for Adventure and be ready to post this weekend.
