Nintendo confirms Future Connected is set one year after the ending cutscene.

Point of order, that says it's one year after the main game. I'm guessing it's what Shulk's doing right before the original ending cutscene/Beyond the Sky moment.

That would make sense.

FC is a bonus chapter in addition to XC 1. There’s no reason to assume that Beyond the Sky isn’t considered the ending of the “main game”.

In either event, Beyond the Sky is actually only 6 months after Shulk yeets Zanza (revealed in that one artbook or whatever that explained the High Entia machine used fixed Fiora’s body). So FC is either a year after Zanza and thus 6 months after the epilogue, or a year after the epilogue and thus 18 months after Zanza.

Australia just had EB Games announce the preorder for the Collector's Edition of XBC.

I jumped on it right away. Went for delivery just in case I'm unable to pick it up in a months time.

It has a CD instead of a Vinyl like the European version.

And instead of a poster there is a keychain for preorders.

Nice! I don’t mind America not getting any soundtrack stuff since I already own the original game’s ost, but it seems like No A has been stiffing us on collectors editions in general lately, I would’ve really enjoyed having a keychain.

Nintendo confirms you will be able to swap between the original and remastered soundtracks.

Wonderful. I like the remix for Engage the Enemy that they used but the original has its own impact as well.

That's one thing I'm a little worried about. The small QOL features.

The original was really good with stuff like that, but I felt that they slacked a bit with XBC 2. They did patch stuff eventually. But it still bothered me a bit.

I still don't know how something like "affinity nodes don't actually unlock until you actually view the affinity screen" managed to make it through testing without people getting annoyed by it.

I am not looking forward to swimming in Eryth Sea again.

It'd be neat if they added a sidequest to unlock fast swimming.

There, Colony 9 and Makna Forest are the only place I recall really needing to swim a lot.

So they could a quest in Makna that gives you 2-3x swimming speed.

Or just make that change the default. But I'd like it in quest form.

There's a low-level Heart to Heart in the Eryth Sea...blocked by a high level monster. I hope this gets changed so we can see this heart to heart earlier in a non New Game Plus playthrough (it's the one where Reyn and Riki go fishing).

Oh man that Valak at night screenshot! That right there is the area I'm most excited to revisit, both for visuals and hear the new music.

Xenoblade twitter confirms dual-audio, ability to toggle original and remastered for either field or battle music, and volume slider (can't remember if this was in the original or not).

All these audio options but no sound test. Bizarre.

1 DE back of the preorder card when translated says Future Connected will have a different battle system compared to the main game.

Also, it seems Tyrea will play a role in Future Connected.

Looks like a flashback, if that's really young Melia.
