Nah, they're great. The problem is that the unique Blades are where the best dialogue is.
"Praxis, take off that eyepatch, you're infringing on my trademark!"
"I have a condition you poser!"
Torna is much better about this since you get the main party and stick with it.
Is there a list of all the X battle quotes? There's a lot of gems there.
L has the best quotes.
Where there's life, there's hope."Two heads is better than none!"
Reaction Image RepositoryAlright, I'll concede that Greataxes are a bit sluggish in the early game. Still, you should make an attempt to invest in them when given the chance. At the very least, you can give them to characters that you don't control directly.
Yeah, that was all I was saying.
I don't like using them on manually controlled characters, especially early on.
Endgame its a whole different story.
Still beats using Knuckle Claws on Rex.
Really, couldn't they have made the unreleasable blade a Katana at least if they just had to go with a wind type?
I got an Aqua Axe to put on Rex.
Where there's life, there's hope.I've said it before and I'll say it again; the best way to handle rare blades would be to cut commons and random crystals entirely, and make every single blade a guaranteed pull from certain, story given crystals. For example, there's a rare Knuckle Claw Wind Blade, who has a sidequest that spans the entire game! Would it truly have been so hard for Gramps's blade to be that one? (That I can't remember the name of)
Adenine!
But yes exactly, make the characters exploration rewards, not random.
But then people couldn't advertise and lament their pulls on Twitter.
If they ever do something like this again, that'd be the best way to do it.
@Ultimate: Yeah, I've said the same thing; there's no reason for the generic blades to exist, and the blade quests would become infinitely less annoying if you had some idea of when in the game you'll have access to them.
Reaction Image RepositoryI love how Ga Buidhe is a joke since she can't dodge your skell just walking on her.
That said, her stats are buffed accordingly to accommodate Skells being enabled in this fight, so you're basically forced to use a Skell unless you've already perfected your on-foot strategy.
Does KOS-MOS have any dialog with Fiora? Like "Hey we met in that one time." "You have less metal than I remember."
Where there's life, there's hope.Pretty sure the heroes of Bionis only ever converse with the main Drivers and Poppi.
The final part of her recon of Alrest (which unlocks her Keen Eye affinity nodes) requires and Shulk and Kos-Mos, but those are the only other blades that converse with her.
I'll need to research more.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."That's a shame. They missed out.
One Strip! One Strip!Another missed opportunity: Shulk, Fiora, or both having extra dialogue if you take them into Klaus' room. Like...just a conversation or something - doesn't have to be a whole cutscene. Fiora has Meyneth's memories for crying out loud! It'd get a little screwy with how they're supposed to come from after their game, and Klaus would've died when Zanza did, but that doesn't happen in XC2 until the actual ending. You can still talk to him on a clear file. A lot of optional and postgame stuff breaks the story anyway, and whether the characters from other Xenoblade games showing up is even canon is debatable. Why not do something with it?
I haven't had the chance to see if anything actually happens if you do that, but I'm pretty sure if it did, someone would've brought it up somewhere.

I suck at Tiger Toger, so now Tora has the least HP among the party.
At least I got Nia back. I will stard doing some sidequests after I finish Titan Battleship.
Where there's life, there's hope. That's alright, Tiger Tiger sucks in general and it's really, really bad. Fortunately, default Poppi parts can carry you long enough to get another tank and at that point, Tora and Poppi can take a back seat until you unlock the endgame 'Here, snap the game in half and have fun' tools.
I agree that unlocking them should be a top priority. That doesn't mean it doesn't still take a while.
