The games have Darkspine Sonic, though that only appeared once.
Meh, though. The whole idea of a “hero gets a ‘dark’ transformation where they get to do grim and edgy stuff” is a relic of an era that was trying too hard to subvert their good guys (but also do so in a way that didn’t actually have consequences). It’s a bland idea - especially as executed - and it was back then, too, but we were riding the wave then and gave it a pass.
Even Street Fighter, the champion of edgy dark sides in video games, have since made it clear that their characters are past all that and have those things only appear in the form of bonus characters.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'd say Darkspine Sonic was well done in that regard.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniIn the Fleetway made Sonic the Comic, Super Sonic was Sonic's super-powered evil side. Whenever he came around he was a threat to everyone, just going on a destruction-filled rampage any time he'd appear.

Chaos Emeralds really are Chaotic.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.No silly, Order Beryl are the chaotic ones.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinairePlease say that was an intentional pun.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I always wanted Sonic Boom to parody the chaos emeralds in an episode at least once for a laugh.

Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...They did mention Knuckles making light on how many fans want him to protect the Master Emerald but I do agree that it is a missed opportunity.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Wasn't it Anarchy Beryl in the Archie comics? (Sonic Xtreme had the Rings of Order.)
The Protomen enhanced my life.I personally always found Fleetway Super Sonic kind of interesting in concept. Have an a game were Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow and other supporting cast members like Blaze and Silver try to stop an Super Sonic that went mad with power from destroying everything.

Apparently they were, in Scourge's universe...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Was it Anarchy Beryl? I just remember it was Beryl and that Scourge's super form was pretty dope.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIt was pink.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Purple.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.(x5) If I had a dime for every time I see someone who mistakes "Fleetway" for STC Super Sonic's name...
I like STC's Super Sonic, but I don't think evil!Super Sonic works outside of the comics. I can't see the SegaSonic version working well with it. If anything, give Tails or someone else a Superpowered Evil Side. Super Sonic gets enough love compared to other character's forms anyway.
Not that even then there's many characters who get a Super Form. Amy's not gotten one, and by the looks of where the series is going, she likely never will.
"No will to break."IIRC there was some rule that only male hedgehogs could get super forms, with Burning Blaze being an exception since she's from another dimension. (And even then she hasn't been seen lately.)
The Protomen enhanced my life.Considering that Amy is the only female hedgehog in the series so far, her not having a super form is just a minor detail amongst other issues.
Sega has never been good at handling their characters; remember that the same game that gave us Gamma also gave us Big.
I want Tails' and Knuckles' forms to get more love. They almost seem non-canon according to the post-Adventure games.
I'm pretty sure Sega/Iizuka says that they are non-canon.
Mania being the only exception, but that game is a blatant throwback.
But yea, Sega seem insistent that only the male Hedgehogs can go Super. Probably since they're the most marketable.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yadda yadda Goku and Vegeta.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.x6x7 So does that mean in Blaze's dimension, only female cats can go Super or Blazing or whatever?

Hey, at least Dark Sonic was actually in the show. People act like "Nazo" was some badass villain and all "he" was was a scrapped Super Sonic redesign.
