Perhaps. I often tell people I don't go to the beach because I find the ocean to be too mainstream.
Anyway. I've said all I want to say on this.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Kingdom Hearts DOES have a checkpoint system, you can continue from the last checkpoint instead of the last Savepoint.
And let me tell you, when I was erroneously thinking that KH 2 FM HD would have a trophy for beating it without selecting Continue (like KH 1 FM HD did), the final Xemnas fight was a lot more annoying as I'd have to go through all of the different phases every time I failed at all.
He wasn't that difficult, it was purely the number of phases that meant any death was a huge time waste.

Fans Are Trying To Fix The Notoriously Bad Sonic 2006 With A Remake.
The Sonic Fanbase can be both awesome and horrible and the same time.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I wouldn't be adverse to a remake honestly.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I just remembered something relevant to the lives debate:
Sonic Lost World
When that game came out, there were major complaints with the lives system, people game overing left and right and having to repeatedly restart the levels over again because of it. It got so bad that SEGA actually patched the game to double the amount of lives you got from a game over, and made it so that 100 rings would give you a life.
Turns out forcing people to start the level over again repeatedly is annoying, and is just an unnecessary roadblock to playing the game, and it's probably no coincidence that the very next game got rid of lives entirely.
@ Sonic 06 remake:
That's pretty cool, Sonic 06 had good ideas that never got the chance to shine because of how rushed it was. Here's hoping this project goes well!

I'm almost surprised nobody tried that before.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."This is build from the ground up
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"Think they might bring back Metal Sonic as a player character? i mean it was planned.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I feel like the things with lives; when you're young and have time on your hands, getting a game over and restarting isn't a big deal.
When you're an adult with significantly less time to do recreational activities, that makes all the difference.
I spend enough time on work and paying Bill's, I don't need to get blue balled by a video game. Just let me play
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does....
Getting extra lifes feel rewarding. Even if you don't run out of them, or have to restart the level if you do run out of them, getting them is a reward.
Rewards make you keep playing.
Limiting the ranking system to just time was already bad enough in that regard.
Is that so? I always thought it was because it wasn't on the PC that they couldn't mod it. Same with Sonic Boom. Those games definitely needed modding among other things.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."I mean, nobody's really in any hurry to put their head into the wiiU's architecture for anything that isn't called BOTW so I can see why nobody bothered even working on it. PS 3 on the other hand is on its way to become pretty well understood.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."I am intrigued and also horrified.
More companies need to remake mediocre or just bad games. Like how would you guys feel about Sega remaking the Sonic Rivals series to the latest consoles?
More companies need to do the opposite of that.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Infamous games, yes.
More companies need to revisit them for the express purpose of making them something that can really do what the original intentions were.
But only the infamous ones, it's not worth visiting games like Rivals.

The memetastic goodness.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!First western-animated appearance of Rouge and Omega, woot woot!
Also, Shadow took popcorn from a Chao and he was fine with it. Almost like taking candy from a baby, right?
Though I am bummed that since they established this'd be a 2-episode deal, we probably won't see episodes on Teams Vector or Eggman...
(At the very least, I can wait for someone to throw in Ed, Edd n Eddy sound effects for extra laughs.)

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Eggman is such a petty dick and I love it.
I’ve come to the conclusion that you just have really niche tastes, Soble.
