"Teenage Dream" is an absolute gem of a pop song. I will admit to kind of enjoying "Last Friday Night" as well, if only for the production and random sax solo.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. When you compare her to other mainstream radio Top 40 musicians, Katy Perry isn't such a terrible singer. Some of my favorite mainstream radio singles in the past few years are by her, such as "Hot n Cold", "Waking Up in Vegas", "Wide Awake", "Firework" and "Roar".
"E.T." and "Dark Horse", however, are both atrocious for me. I actually wondered how they managed to reach the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Last Friday Night by Katy Perry.
Train managed to hook me with "Save Me San Fransisco". I dunno, I suppose the CCR vibe that its chord structure has, as well as its irresistably catchy chorus, all that managed to combine into something I really can't hate, not even dislike. I love the song, actually, and I really, really don't like Train.
"Meet Virginia" is probably the only Train song I genuinely like, since Pat doesn't sound like Minnie Mouse on Helium on it.
That said, "Hey, Soul Sister" is a total Guilty Pleasure of mine because of how batshit the lyrics are. I also like the production.
"Hey Soul Sister" is decent enough in a banal sort of way, but I no longer have any capacity left to enjoy it. They played it too damn much.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.@Katy Perry's infamous attempt to cover "Don't Stop Me Now"
Honestly, it isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. I mean, it's not a very good cover either, but at least she keeps up with the song well (even though she sings some of the lyrics wrong as a byproduct), and contrary to what some of those comments say, no, I don't think she "butchered" it. It's a decent attempt, but she should have tried to stay closer to the source material; her own spin on it just isn't working here :I
"Counting Stars" by One Republic. The rest of their music is painfully boring, but Counting Stars is surprisingly catchy... Mainly cause it actually has a beat, ha.
"This is awful. I'm inventing electricity and you look like an asshole." - Nikola TeslaI think you 're being waaay too generous.
Katy Perry theoretically has strengths, but vocal talent is not one of them.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianShe's charismatic, at the very least. And Teenage Dream is a pretty good bubblegumnote pop album as far as those go. Not too into anything else she's done before or after it, though.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I usually hate Ted Nugent (half because of his music, half for being a total douche), but "Stranglehold" is a phenomenal song.
Also, Sammy Hagar annoys the hell out of me, but the "Heavy Metal" song featured on the South Park Episode "Major Boobage" is pretty sweet.

How dare you disrupt the sanctity of my soliloquy?I'm not particularly fond of most Fall Out Boy songs I've heard (and I refuse to listen to any of their albums since it's hard to listen to them without feeling like a teen girl in the mid 00s), but I've always thought "Sugar, We're Goin Down" is probably the best song to come out of the MTVmo era of punk. Not that that says much.

I know I'm gonna raise a lot of eyebrows here, but...I've never really found FOB THAT bad. Hell, I actually really like Thnks fr th Mmrs (stupid title aside).
On my wave, passing oooooooonDid they forget to buy a vowel?
I've always found Fall Out Boy a totally ok band.
No regret shall pass over the threshold!I don't like Rihanna that much, but I love her song "Lemme Get That" from her album "Good Girl Gone Bad."

RE: Fall Out Boy, while I never thought they were awful (they're just not my cup of tea for the most part), I do love their song "Sending Postcards from a Plane Crash (Wish You Were Here)", mostly for personal reasons.
And yes, they forgot to buy a vowel with that song. But it's okay, because they got the Daily Double right! Ha ha, I haven't watched those shows in way too long...
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I love "What It's Like" by Everlast, but I'm not a fan of his other music. The same goes for "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay.
It's not a case of hate, but I never liked Frank Zappa. But I like "Camarillo Brillo".
I'm quite tired of Volbeat, I don't like their sound and their albums are all named the same.
But I'll excuse Still Counting on the basis of its intro and Sad Man's Tongue because Johnny Cash influences.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineMy sister mostly hates Justin Bieber, but she liked "As Long as You Love Me".
I'm the opposite; I started out not being impressed with Volbeat, but have grown to like them more with each song. I also saw them a coupla years ago live and they put on a pretty good show.
Believe it or not, but Rebecca Black's cover of Wrecking Ball is superior to the original
David Bowie 1947-2016Steve Miller Band, "Jet Airliner."
I like Applause, but not Lady Gaga.
Hey, I've moved to a new account! I go by Silver Glyph now.
