Zira: <Vermillion! Now OUTTA MY WAY!>

As Zira charges past Butterscotch, she fires off a Discharge to hopefully faze him/knock him out. Without stopping, she dashes down the stairs, out the door and heads towards Saffron City.

Vermilion Docks

Sailor: Boat to the Sevii Islands! Boarding Now! Please have your tickets out as you board the boat!

Cupid overhears this and forms a plan. He gestures Gone to lower his head so he could whisper his plan to Gone.

Mr Gone: <I'm not sure what's going through your featherbrain Piddy-Pat. But if you think it's best for Amberpie I'm in no position to object~>

While Amber was distracted by the boat horn, Gone lifts her up and gently places Amber on the deck of the boat.

Amber: Eh?

Cupid and Gone quickly recall themselves before anyone could take notice.

Psyche stammers. ~Um, er, I... Male?~

Psyche mentally sighs a sigh of relief. ~I kinda figured by the fact you were all huffy about it.~

The Kirlia nods, slightly impressed. "Nice deduction. Well, yeah, the idiotic Audino and Nidoran mock me for being as they put it, 'a girly mon only good for evolution.' But there's not exactly a lot of Dawn Stones around here, and I'm NOT evolving into a Gardevoir. I refuse."

Psyche cocks her head, curious. ~What's wrong with Gardevoir?~

"They're fine mons and all, but WAY too girly for my taste. And I would only get more mercilessly mocked by those idiots."

~What if I had a Dawn Stone for you?~

He narrows his eyes. "Show me."

She rummages through her bag and finds a small stone. The Kirlia's eyes widen. "It's not."

~It is.~

"Gimmegimmegimmegimmegimme-"

~Nuh-uh. First, you gotta come with me.~

"I'd rather take my chances with the Audino."

Psyche smirks. ~Oh? And miss the last chance you may ever get to evolve properly?~

He hesitates.

~Gotcha. And once you do, you can show all of the idiots who was the better mon in the end. Besides Nidoran are basically cannon fodder, and Audino are perfect to punt.~

"I... But... And. Fine. I'll come with you."

~You got a name?~

"I go by Galahad."

~Well, Galahad, welcome on board.~ She holds out a Pokeball for him.

Sort of... Fire is useful for heat, light, and cooking food. But it's also dangerous, so we like it in small doses that we can control. It is very beautiful when you don't have to worry about it.

Sunburst: <Huh, is that so?>

Yep. -pets her some more-

And latches on to the side of the boat. Amber, hearing the roar, goes over to investigate.

Amber: Zira? Oh Zira! There you are! I was so worried about you!

Amber grabs the plastic bag and pulls Zira onto the boat.

Amber: Are you okay Zira? Oh please tell me you're okay!

Zira: <Amber, I'm fine. No, really.>

Of course, Amber hears it as small growls and grumbles.

Amber: You are hurt! You've got small cuts everywhere! Don't worry~ I'll fix you up!

Zira: <... I wish I could talk to you Amber, I really do.>
