Rex watched Silent's interview continue, a little smile on his face. He was happy for his friend, though a small inward part of him reminded him that yet another one of the group had become a Champion, something he had yet to do for himself. He grimaced, swallowing those ugly feelings and instead turned to his mother, trying to think of something lighter.

Rex: So, umm, mom...how can you speak to Pokemon again?

Faith grasped ahold of one of Rex's arms, rising to her feet and gently urging him to do the same.

Faith: I think I'd like to meet your friend, Rex. Won't you introduce me?

The brunette groaned, getting up as well.

Rex: You're never going to tell me, are you?

Faith simply smiled, making her way over to the small crowd of interviewers, the duo patiently waiting off to the side. Rex made a motion to Forte, letting him know that they hadn't forgotten about him.

Off to the side, Aqua was happily complimenting Silent's team, pawing happily at anymon that got too close.

Aqua: <...and then Big Bird pecked the electric yeti! It was so exciting! :3> *paws at Copahue*

Rascal: <It was an inspiring match to be sure. You all did great.>

Orchid, meanwhile, saw fit to watch Maekrite chase around the interviewer, peering curiously at him.

Ohm continued to snuggle with her Shahinne doll, staying nearby Portales in case he were to get lost or lonely again. Claudia, happening to fly past the store window at the point, came over as well, circling around the Ampharos' head happily.

Claudia: <Hi, Ohm! What are you doing?>

Ohm: <Oh, I'm with my new friends, Portales. He's an alien. :3>

Claudia: <Oooh, neat.> *floats closer to the Shahinne doll* <Nice to meet you, Portales!>

Ohm: *sweatdrops* <N-no...that's Portales. Over there.>

Claudia: *turns and sees him* <Oh... Hi!>

Minty is still with Felix, the two of them following May around the facility. Said Birch has currently stopped outside of a shop, noticing a Fool figurine in the window.

May: ...Grrr...

Minty: <Wow, she must really hate mannequins...>

J-Con: Answering Booth

A large group of fans have lined up in front of a tiny booth, eagerly firing questions at the person running it.

Fan #1: So, you're the manager of the J-Team?

Fan #2: How does it feel to handle such responsibilities?

Fan #3: Is it hard reigning in all of those animated teens?

Jemma: <Well, let mya say this about that...>

Silent enjoys watching Maekrite chase the poor interviewer.

Maekrite — <You want to know me better? You are going to know me closely!>

Copahue and Ichtacya are having a good time with Rascal and Aqua, Ichtacya is pretty happy.

Ichtacya — <I did all that I could until I got paralyzed. But I think I was still awesome enough after that... :3> — cuddles Rascal.

Copahue -plays with Aqua — <I thought I was to lose... I can't believe I did this good...>

Algira is taken completely by surprise after Helios's announcement.

Algira — <Errr... uh... your mother?> — blushes, gets nervous and starts to hiccup — <...What for? I mean... are we really that close yet? Please say yes!>

Maekrite has finished the third interviewer and has him not locked at a corner.

Silent notices Rex and Faith, then gestures them to stay, and asks the interviewers for the final question.

Interviewer #1: "Any advice for starting Trainers who want to follow the example of the PEFE Researchers?"

Silent: "Yes. Well, besides the usual don't do drugs, one very important:" Silent turns to face the Fourth Wall and points at it. "Pokémon are not data; don't be a smogonfag, or any other kind of Stop Having Fun Guy."

Host: "Thanks, Dr. Silent."

Rex: What's a "Smog On"? Sounds unhealthy...

Faith: *leads Rex over to Silent as the interviewers disperse* Hello. Dr. Silent, was it? *holds out her hand* I'm Faith, Rex's mother. It's a pleasure to meet such an upstanding gentleman as yourself.

Silent gestures to Forte, Faith and Rex to sit on the conveniently three chairs the interviewers left.

To Forte:

"Hope you enjoyed the match, Forte. I was hoping to watch your if you get to complete the Orange Islands challenge."

To Faith:

"A 'smogonfag' is a certain kind of Trainer that only cares about using the strongest Pokémon and moves, and forcing everyone else to battle the same way. They completely disregard non-fully evolved Pokémon, the heck, they've obviously never met Maekrite."

Silent shakes hands with Faith and smiles nervously.

"So you are Rex's mother? A pleasure to meet you... and thanks, but I'm not that marvelous yet. You have a pretty good son, met him not long ago."

Maekrite is on the background, having fun by randomly lunging, honking and swiping his paw at the interviewer.

Rex: Hmmm... *recalls Victor, frowning slightly* I see.

Faith: Oh, thank you. *pats Rex's head* He tends to get into trouble on his own, so I appreciate you watching out for him.

Rex: Rrr...

Fang: *wanders over from somewhere* <Who is that? Does he have something yummy? :3>

Breezy: *likewise* <I like his shirt. :3>

Felis: <You're not actually going to keep that thing, are you?>

Silent twitches slightly, feeling as if he was about to feature in a shipping fic for no raisin.

"Well, Ms. Faith, now that you mention it for all the trouble he might get into (not counting moons falling and stuff) Rex has assisted us with quite some important stuff. Like Spinda research ^_^." Silent notices Fang and Breezy and after listening to them produces a Schrödinger's Berry for Fang. "We've been staying around together for a while and he has more or less get used to... a certain level of Weirdness Magnet."

To Forte:

"Sure, tell me that when you've definitively found and beaten Trovita gym..." snickers.

Felis: <That is the worst imitation of my voice I have ever heard.>

How did you get J-Team's permission to use ou-their adventures in a TV show?

Crewe has left the panel and is now wandering the convention, steering clear of shipping conversation and talking to a few of the saner fans, wondering how any of them plan to recognize actual J-Team members if they all assume everyone's a cosplayer and the real things just have good costumes.

Faith: Spinda research, you say? *looks at Rex briefly before turning back to Silent* I suppose he has always had a bit of an affinity for Normal-types.

Rex: *picks up Fang, rubbing her stomach gently* Look, Fang, this is Silent. He's a friend of mine and he collects rare berries.

Fang: <I like him already. :3> *noms the berry, not really caring what it is*

Rex: This is Fang. She was the first Pokemon I ever caught, and the second I ever had.

Breezy: <Introduce me too~> *lands on Rex's head*

Rex: Hehe. And this is Breezy. I caught her shortly before Ohm. She was my third capture and Pokemon number four. Isn't she cute?

"Heh, let's say that Rex has a lot of affinity with Spinda particularly for some reason."

Silent turns and gives a thumbs up to Forte. "That's the spirit. Just don't go overboard pointing imaginary drills to the sky... and be careful with Rollout." Turns to Maekrite. "Kit, leave that poor interviewer alone!"

Maekrite turns and growls to Silent; the interviewer tries to take the chance to try and get away by the corner but Maekrite turns around and knocks him down, then starts pulling his leg.

Maekrite — <This is so fun...> — sniffs, notices Orchid and feels somewhat nervous — <...? Oh hai!>

"So, hello Fang... First Catch, eh? She must be pretty important then." To Rex: "Well, if it is about Berries, then you should go speak to Anom, you'll get more information." Turns to Breezy. "Oh hai there, Breezy! You are pretty cute, yes..."

To Faith:

"Well, I'd introduce you to my team but they are in recovery, except for that one... that Nidorino there" points to Maekrite "is Maekrite, my new Starter... I've been a Trainer before. He's actually the son of my original Starter who was also a Nidoran."

-The WHT is standing at the audience area around the stage waiting while the convention starts to wrap up-

-I once again try looking for stuff relating to me, to see if there is any-

Steve the Fanfic-writer: -Taps the counter of his stall impatiently, buisness has been slow, he hasn't had anyone to the stall to see what he has written. Though that might have been due to having his stall directly behind several other stalls-

Faith: *smiles* I imagine he does. In my case, I only have three Pokemon. One of them is getting acquainted with your Nidorino at the moment, it would seem.

Orchid: <Hello.> *tilts her head* <Are you from Goldenrod? You seem...familiar.>

Faith: *looks in Maekrite's direction at those words* Oh?

- Has left the museum after checking out what there was to see there, and Wolf and I are now just taking a walk around Slateport, trying to check if there's anything else interesting going on -

Maekrite -blushes slightly — <Uhm.... yeah, I-I'm from... Goldenrod.> — gulps, can't help but look at Orchid. — <Are y-you from Goldenrod, too?>

Silent half-chuckles at Maekrite feeling uncomfortable, but refrains from the full gesture since Faith is there; does not notice her gesture.

"Ah yes they're gettinc acquainted to each other..."

Maekrite — <Uhm, I'm Maekrite... Ah, you know, the Owsla sent with Silent two years ago?>

Orchid: <...!!!> *looks surprised* <Owsl-...Oh! So he is...> *looks over at Silent before turning back to Maekrite, looking at him with adoration* <Eeee~>

Faith: *is looking at Silent with a similarly surprised face* Oh...

Rex: Mom? *pats her gently*

Faith: O-oh, excuse me. I was just...recalling something I'd heard before. *composes herself and smiles* So, Mr. Silent, are you from Goldenrod as well?

Maekrite — <...?> — blushes more heavily, instinctively leans ears back to check that he is not cornered against a wall. — <Uhm... yeah, that's me... I'm just a top percentage Nidorino. :D>

Silent turns to Faith.

"Oh, no, I was born in ye olde Ecruteak. I do spend a lot of time in Goldenrod though because of research, and..." notices Faith's surprised face. "Uh, you say you heard something? Is anything wrong?"

Meanwhile, Algira is still debating what to answer to Helios, and patently buzzes her confusion.

Orchid: Uguuu~...so modest!

Faith: N-no, it's nothing. Just a funny joke I remembered. Hahaha...

Rex: Smooth.

Faith: *nudges him in the ribs when Silent looks away*

Rex: Ow!
