-The chaos of the battle ends up disturbing Helios and Wolf's test track-

-A panel ends up opening-

<Well that's convenient.>

-Picks up Wolf and Ninetales and starts flying in the direction of the tower-

-Mike uses Close Combat on the android from behind-

<Mike: "HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?!">

<Jodie: "HARDER, MIKE! HIT IT HARDER!">

-Notices Tangent's use of portals-

"Oh. DUH..."

<Iron Marrow: "Ugh... When am I going to be able to stop using this blasted contraption?!">

-The two of us emulate Tangent's practice with the portals-

"Everyone! Fire into the portals! The sooner we turn this computer into a pile of slag, the better!"

<Kyle: "EAT THIS, YOU STUPID BOX OF LIGHTS!">

-Uses Draco Meteor through one of the portals-

<Toothless: "... Whoa...">

<Nadia: "He can do that?!">

-the Draco Meteor knocks another core loose-

Core 2: Do you know who I am?! Well, I don't! Except that I'm going to burn your house down... with a lemon! I have the engineers working on a combustible lemon, that burns your house down! We went and grabbed ourselves a couple, a several, maybe a dozen of Tropius! They make great fruit incubators, you know.

Basket: <YOU! This lemon business was YOUR idea!>

-Basket used Corequake! It's Super Effective!-

— Maekrite! Cover backup!

-Maekrite runs around and Ice Beams two rockets aimed at Kyle-

Maekrite — <They can kill that singing thing? I'm starting to hate it!>

— Yeah I know! It reminds me of Pikachus for some reason!

-Maekrite slides by Nadia's side, paying attention to any incoming lasers and stuff, while I try to find a good place to put a new portal into-

-Hears the next core-

Maekrite — <Rrrrr.....! That thing got Basket!> — fires a Thunderbolt at it.

-A number of team members are furiously pumping attacks into the portal... Pascal is using Hydro Pump, Shaun and Vesta are using Discharge, Aloysius and Nadia are using Flamethrower, and Kyle is using Fire Blast. The others are busily helping to destroy PEFeDOS' first core... With one exception-

-After just finishing a Swords Dance-

<Jodie: "Are you ready, Mike?">

<Mike: "I'm always ready...">

-Uses Bullet Punch on the android from the side-

Garchomp: -Roars and attacks the android with an Outrage while my other Pokemon blast the hell out of it, except for Aliroz, who joins Garchomp with a Foul Play-

-The Android skids and turns around by the Bullet Punch attack, and aims its next lasers attacks at PE Fe DOS. Then it is hit by all the attacks, in particular the Outrage, and tumbles over, but starts to recover by launching two barrages of rockets around the room-

Maekrite (looking from Nadia's position) — <Hey! That was smart!>

— Maekrite! The Orange Portal!

-Maekrite looks around and notices a portal materializing near him; he goes jump at it while I shoot a Blue Portal at the roof-

-At one of the portals-

<Pascal: "GET DOWN, MAN!">

-And the group complies, allowing a rocket to narrowly miss and sail by-

-Kit draws up alongside Iron Marrow-

<Kit: "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?">

<Iron Marrow: "It was in my head before yours, rube.">

-The two use Bonemerang through a portal on PEFeDOS-

<Jodie: "Eh... This physical combat stuff is getting kinda boring... Let's deal some ranged destruction for a change...">

<Mike: "No problem!">

-Uses Aura Sphere on the android-

-Sends an orange portal at the wall and then makes a blue one directly behind the android for the rockets to hit after my Pokemon that are too slow to dodge erect Protect barriers and I duck along with Torchic and Victini-

Core 3: It's all pointless, you know. All this effort, and you are fixing just one corner of a dismal world. Did you hear of Unova? A den of predators, ruling by fear where they rule at all. Hoenn remains devastated by flooding. Do they get aid anymore? No, they are forgotten. Sinnoh barely could be said to exist, as far as any humans care. Johto has not seen its protector in years, and Kanto is full of politicians dimly ignoring anything that may jostle their little status quo. What do you expect to accomplish? You're not saving anything, just delaying the inevitable. Dragging out the pain...

-The Aura Sphere hits and immobilizes the android for a short while, then it fires a energy ball. Maekrite emerges from the roof and falls, curls in mid-air to unleash a Thunderbolt on the android's neck as some rockets come in and impact the android's back; I materialize the next orange portal on the floor for Maekrite to continue falling through, and the correspondant blue one by my side-

-Luke and Cinder fight alongside the others, using portals near a corner to mercilessly attack the cores-

Maekrite (landing awesomely) — <You missed the memo? u Frithrah's got Johto some heroes. Here you have a pack of them!> — fires a Sludge Bomb and a Thunderbolt to the core.

-To the personality core-

"Yeah, well no one said that it had to stay that way..."

<Vlad: "Yeah! We may only be making a small change, but it's still a change!">

<Aloysius: "Let's shut this thing up for good.">

<Nadia: "With pleasure...">

-Entire team begins attacking the final personality core-

-machine fragments fly out of the facility roof, leaving us in the central computer room-

-Maekrite follows by attacking with an Ice Beam to the core, and observes the others; I walk around to make sure the android doesn't play more opposition-

Maekrite (paws the ground) — <Yeah, consider this a last wish from our Gods, wherever they are!>

-The cores and android explode-

— We have changed things, we will change them again. Reposa en Paz.

Musashi: -Watches the fragments fall- <Well that was no glitch.>

Audilith: -Standing with Vanilluxe- <It was nearly as mind screwy though.>

Torchic & Victini: -Start dancing around- <Hooray!>

Nudi: <No more mad machinery.>

Garchomp: <That I can agree with.>

Aliroz: <This makes up for missing out on 'M.>

Unfezant: <Wonderful isn't it?>

Helios: <Another villain bites the dust.>

Well... glad we beat her, but a facility this complex needs a moderating agent in control lest it shake itself apart...

I think I remember enough about Porygon behavior to adapt one to be able to run this facility, but as you recall from the PEFEgons, behavior can take a little time to stabilize. Plus we kinda need an overseer now... where do we find friendly AI at this time of-

-glances at Tagg-

...you still have that iPhokex, right?

-Pulls out the iPhokex-

Yeah. I think I know where you're going with this.

-Drake quietly walks around the outside of the villa, several rooms seem to be lit but no sign of any occupants-

Drake: <Well, I guess we're going in without a welcome...>

-As the others handle stuff, I sit with Maekrite-

— Well, joining these guys sure worked. First big bad villain we have defeated.

Maekrite — <Second...>

-I turn to him and pet behind his ears-

— Yes... well, first-and-a-half. It kinda counts as the same.

-We think back to Inka-

An hour later, in the break room.

-We Are All Resting On Couches; music fills the facility, as Tagg's iPhokex releases the test subjects in as orderly a manner as you can expect throwing open the gates to be-

...note to self: give the Porygon a sense of music appreciation.

So. Where do we go from here? Me and Basket should probably stay here and get the facility operating on the light side again... most of this testing equipment looks applicable in broader situations, though.

"Hmm... I think that I should try and find as many of the Pokemon from my other timeline that I can, Tagg..."

<Nadia: "... Where would we even start?">

<Shaun: "... I know that you can't take my other self along... I have a different trainer in this timeline...">

"Wait... Who are you all aware of in this timeline?"

<Vlad: "Well... I think that I met Teala in a dream about a week ago...">

<Nathan: "Who?">

<Vlad: "A Druddigon like you.">

<Nathan: "Oh.">

<Kit: "And you apparently know one of my clan's other lorekeepers, Chain of Spades...">

<Iron Marrow: "Oh great, we're going off to find her?">

<Nadia: "Keep your mouth shut, hag!">

<Buster: "We also met a Gligar that seemed an awful lot like this Vlad guy while looking for you. He might be worth checking out...">

<Pascal: "Yeah... And there was a Floatzel that said that Vlad had talked to him in a dream, man...">

<Shaun: "I think that I might have found Audrey in the Dream World... But I don't know where she is in this timeline...">

"I suppose that would be a start... Would you all mind if I left to try and sort out this matter?"

Well, the other regions still need freeing from Scolemis' clutches, so I guess Johto might be my next destination.

-Hears Tracer-

Nope.

— Yeah, we're heading to Johto. Surely Inka will want to keep close tabs on what happens to Goldenrod. Surely she wanting to militarize the colony is a response to hidden Unovan influence in Johto... but we never managed to find proof.

Maekrite — <We can't leave without the kits though, so I guess if the humans need your help, Silent, I can stay with them... My mission is to return with the kits.>

— Right... in the meantime I'll take some time to check the AI's databases, or what we can salvage from them, to see what about this armor. — to Tangent — so for the time being I'm staying here full-time.
