(Ozzy notices Ian and flies up to him.)

Ozzy: <Goodness, I certainly hope you're alright. A fall like that could cause facial damage and I would not want that to happen at all.>

-Ian picks himself up and brushes the dust off.-

Me: I'm okay... I've taken nastier falls...

Evelyn: So, Kim... may we come in?

Striaton City, NYE

(Kim notices Ian and Evelyn and opens the door.)

Kim: "Thank you very much, Ozzy." (then, to Ian and Evelyn) "Yes, you may come in. All of my Pokemon are excited to see you."

Evelyn and I: Thank you for your hospitality.

-Ian and Evelyn walk into Kim's house... In Ian's case, literally.-

(Ozzy and Kim reenter the house, and the second that Ian and Evelyn enter, they are immediately greeted by all of Kim's Pokemon running up towards them happily. The following greetings are all said at the exact same time.)

Paul: <Ian! Evelyn! Thank goodness you could make it!>

Sinatra: <Hey, guys! Great to see ya!>

Dio: <WRYYYYYYYYYYYYY—!!>

Kaylan: <Hello!>

Geddy: <Hi, guys!>

Elton: <'Ello, chaps!>

Freddie: <Oh, um... hi...>

Orwell: <Greetings, comrades!>

Joel: <Hey there.>

Dave: <Oy, ya blokes!>

Dalt: <Yay! Our friends are here!>

Peechee: <Hello, dobby oranges!>

Gallag: <Hey, dudes!>

Gilmour: <Hello... my friends...>

Boseman: <Pleasure.>

(Kim giggles a bit, before walking up to the group and breaking up the excitement.)

Kim: "Okay, okay. I know all of you are excited, but, please. Give them some space."

(The Pokemon all step back, except for Kaylan, who looks up at Ian and Evelyn.)

Kaylan: <We're so happy you could make it! We have a lot of things here... we even have a bowl full of marshmallows...>

Elton: <Please, sit down! We're delighted to 'ave ya, chaps! At any moment now the ball's going to drop!>

Ozzy: <Indeed. I believe we have an hour left, so do make yourselves comfortable.>

Kaguya (and by extension Daydre) look a little worn from Deus Ex Machina's attacks, but despite it all she seems lost in thought.

Wow, that ability's gonna be a pain in the ass. What do we....... Oh, right! There's that! Dunno if this would work on whatever the hell that is but it's worth a shot!

The Lopunny nods and starts doing a friendly dance, which Deus Ex Machina may or may not be inclined to follow along with.

So, it's 2021, which means in a little more than a month it'll mark ten years since I first met Jane and Pentigan, Daisy, Gamer, Anom, Luke, DS and the rest. What can I say? Have we managed to change the world in a way that's satisfactory? I guess the historians will decide that on a macro level, but what about us on a micro level?

Regardless, Neo-Flare is starting to come out of their hibernation, and Tokarev's still out there. Who knows where    Allen    is these days? Neo-Illusion is barely notable, Iron has not given up their ambitions of killing the gods even if they've gotten quieter. Best Berry has not gone defunct yet despite their criminal ties. 12 years later and Pokefutures remnants continue to plague the world. One Calamity may or may not be still around. The School circles like Mandibuzz stealing Cubone in the night. To say nothing of whatever new foes the rest of the 2020s into 2031 will probably end up bringing us.

But such is life I suppose. No matter what happens, we'll be there to meet them whenever and wherever they pop up.

Whiptail: How long do you think it'll take them to get here, I wonder? Do you think they'll even find you in time to stop me? Because while I can be patient, I very much prefer my gratification to be instant~

Evelyn: Hmm... I'd have to say my favorite parts of the year were Umbra and Amaterasu's wedding, our first performances as New Dawn's Dreamers, Valentine's Day...

Me: As for me, I'd say my favorites were the same as Evelyn's, in addition to the Gym Battles in Turffield, Hulbury and Motostoke...

Piku-chan: <Honestly... any moment I got to spend with my trainer was my favorite.>

Hatty: <Same here.>

Me: What about you, Kim?

"Kec, use Slash!" Hoops yells.

Kec runs forwards, focusing his power into the tips of claws. The Vanillite sees it coming and braces against the impact, but is quickly overpowered and thrown to the ground. It leaves, realising this is a fight it cannot win.

Hoops looks at the night sky. "It got late," they remark.

<We should make camp> Kec says. Hoops nods and selects all their pokeballs. "Come out, guys," they say. Led, Sal, Kit, Sud, and Tot emerge and begin helping to set up camp. It is soon done, and they surround the small campfire.

<It's New Year's> Sud says finally.

"Huh. I hadn't noticed," Hoops says.

<It's been a good year> Sal remarks. <We made some friends. Started challenging gyms again. A lot of good stuff happened.>

Everyone nods in agreement and adds their own favourite parts of the year.

"I'm going to have to deal with her soon, aren't I?" Hoops asks, referring to Anna.

<We'll be here when you do> Kec answers reassuringly. <For now, focus on he near future.>

<Yeah! We'll be in Stow-on-Side soon> notes Led.

The party chat for longer, and as midnight strikes they watch the distant fireworks above Galar's distant cities before going to sleep for a year full of new possibilities.

Silas nodded, "We begin very soon. Sofia, take the Floor crew in and get them settled. Direct them to areas you feel they will cause the most damage, all of you are getting a bag of goodies today, special goodies that will cause quit the distraction."

Roxy grinned, "If we're going criminal here, we decided to take a further step."

"It would've had to be done eventually, Vincent and Midna can handle setting them in the server room."

Hacks laughed, ~Alright people. Do you know what day it is?~

Silas almost smiled as he said, "Payday."

With Travis now finally having caught onto what the S³ wanted to do, the castle building would continue. Just like Travis, most of the S³ were using small shells as decorations, though, the most striking object to be added to the castle would be a thumb-sized shiny rock in the (very rough) shape of a sauropod that Tropius had found. Said stone was sitting ontop of the main tower of the castle the S³ had already built.
