"Psh. Three weeks. As if they expected the J-Team to actually be punctual. I wouldn't get my hopes up."

The sound of papers being pushed out of the way, followed by typing. Then the quiet crinkling of a bag of chips.

Jubilife City

-Ama is reading the news, a Pocky stick hanging half-eaten out of their mouth. Beside them is a bunch of unopened Pocky boxes, as well as a couple empty ones and a half-full one.-

Ama: Fuck. After the Administrator and the Charizard problem, I almost forgot about that.

-Diane comes down and notices Ama and her surroundings.-

Diane: Hey, what's with all the snacks?

-Ama turns to face Diane, finishing off the half eaten Pocky stick before responding-

Ama: Yesterday was Pocky Day. Or was it the day before? I dunno, I can't keep track of time anymore. Either way, I overstocked.

Diane: Uh... huh. Why did you need so many, then?

Ama: Was gonna set up a Pocky Game booth, but barely anyone really cared. Managed to trick Vierr into it, though, because he is too stubborn to lose.

-A voice echoes from down the hall-

Vierr: AND I WON! I LOST A COUPLE THEN WE TIED AND THAT SUCKED AND THEN I FUCKIN' WON!

Ama: Case in point.

Diane: Huh.

Ama: It's fun.

Diane: I could probably beat you.

Ama: You wish. Challenge accepted.

-Coming out of a hotel room, coincidentally the same one I shared with Red during the Gold Conference-

Stormchaser's not fully done with repairs, the [American] elections... better not to talk about that, and Sunnyshore's been Glitched for almost a month. We really need to get a move on.

Jubilife City, at Alyesha's Stand

Phaz: Heh. Well, the most important is not to win, but to try. I'm pretty sure that if you can handle a Contest battle you can handle a Gym battle.

Cynthia: -to herself- ~I'm pretty sure that this Gallade here will do a monologue between two attacks.~

Phaz: Anyways... -to Alyesha:- I guess i could be asking you if you did some interesting things in the past. Did you?

Ashen: <Ahem. Lock and load, people.>

Argent: <... You've just been waiting for three weeks to say that, haven't you.>

Ashen: <... Noooooo?>

-Argent remains skeptical.-

Archimedes: <Regardless, we should move out.>

Siobhan: "... Yep, sounds about right."

-She puts on her bomber jacket and walks out the door.-

-Beat-

-Siobhan rushes back in, grabs her bag with all of her stuff (pokeballs included) and then hurries back out the door.-

Scheherezade: -looks up from her phone, and looks around.- "Nope, can't do it."

-Balthazar walks up to her.-

Balthazar: <May I have ->

Scheherezade: "Yep. Anyone else who wants to go, can go."

-Dunyazade and Balthazar look at each other.-

Scheherezade: "Off you go then, I have paperwork to do..." -sigh-

Sunnyshore - Evac Zone outskirts

-Pent is here, waiting for the morn to come and with it the rest of the J-Team. Despite the long night he feels... Energized. A weird sense of adrenaline being so close to another breachpoint of the aberration...-

Jubilife, Alyesha's Stand

Sergey a small nod

Sergey: "Hm... okay..."

He smiled now a bit moer confident

Sergey: "I'll try at some point."

Magnus gave a confident smile and a 'thumps up'

Alyesha: "Oh yes... before I went out ni th world with this stand my parents wanted me to become archeologists... I was in their lab most of the time... the others were always nice to me... but once I met an Anorith there... hehe, he totally jumped me and threw me on my back when I brought some food to the scientists."

She chuckled as she though back to that moment

Alyesha: "He decided to stay on my chest so I couldn't get up, so I just pet him... he made totally cute noises. And when Mom and Dad and some other scientists came since they heard the noise we all had to laugh about it. That Anorith became my friend then~"

She pointed to Matvey the Armaldo who was standing besides her, tickling him a bit under the chin.

Alyesha: "Matvey was always by my side since then."

Jubilife City, at Alyesha's Stand

Phaz: -chuckling- Eheh... That's cute and heartwarming. And... Since when did you had this Stand?

Jubilife, Alyesha's Stand

Alyesha thought for a bit.

Alyesha: "Lets see... that was shortly after I turned 15... so... around two years now."

She pat Matvey

Alyesha: "Two years of us being on the road, right?"

Matvey: <Right, never regretted coming with you~>

Alyesha: "Ehehe"

Des and a blue dot are around.

" 'Spose I should head to...wherever the glitch is now."

<Bluuuuue....SLACKS! :D>

"...Well at least you're diversifyin' your vocabulary."

Jubilife City, at Alyesha's Stand

Phaz: Nice. I've only been on the road for less than a month for myself... Yet, well, stuff happened. Was your Stand always like this or did you changed it sometimes?

Jubilife, Alyesha's Stand

Alyesha thought for a bit

Alyesha: "Well, all the cooking utensils were already there at the start, although I needed to properly do the wheels, on a bumpy road just too many things fell down."

She chuckled

Alyesha: "Also I needed to make a few modifications so Matvey could pull it."

Jubilife City, at Alyesha's Stand

Phaz: Ahah, I can see why. But why didn't you do archeology?I was interested in this at some point.

Jubilife, Alyesha's Stand

Alyesha chuckled

Alyesha: "Oh I still am interested, but I also wanted to cook... it probably sounds quite clicheed but it makes me happy to see others smile after eating my food, also I like to listen to the stories of the people - and now also Pokémon - who visit me. But my parents said that if I ever want to become one now I could."

Stormchaser, Probably

-Ama is pacing. Anyone who sees them can probably hear them mumbling as they think aloud to themself. Among the little bits one might pick up are "Sarah", "Ama", and "Kaito"-

Jubilife Center

-Meanwhile, Rose — having just missed a big portion of the J-Team leaving — checks into a room at the Pokemon Center. She opens the door...-

Paula: Hey, there you are!

-Lounging on the bed with a white rose in her mouth is Paula.-

Rose: ...

-Rose slams the door shut again.-

Rose: ...You gotta draw the line somewhere. You gotta draw a fucking line in the sand, Rose. You gotta make a statement. You gotta look inside yourself and ask, "What am I willing to put up with today?"

-She opens the door again. Paula is still there, and gives a little wave.-

Rose: NOT FUCKING THIS.

-She slams the door shut again. She waits about a minute. Then, hesitantly, she opens the door again, peering in nervously.-

-Paula is not still there.-

-She sighs in frustration, shakes her head, and opens the door the rest of the way to head inside.-

Paula: Something wrong? You look like you saw a ghost.

-Rose yelps and whips around to swat at (and barely miss) Paula, who had just appeared behind her.-

Rose: What the fuck what do you want with me?!

-Paula tsks as she closes the door behind her.-

Paula: Now, now, nothing to worry about, I was just wondering what took you so long to get here, is all.

Rose: What the fuck does it matter to...

-Beat-

Rose: Why aren't you rhyming. You said you needed to rhyme last time you decided to show up.

-Paula gives a look of mock innocence.-

Paula: Oh, did I? Well, let's just say I'm breaking the rules, then. You used to love breaking the rules, you know.

-Rose puts a hand on Domino's Poke Ball on her belt-

Rose: I'm not you. I never was you.

-Paula smiles, and walks toward the window, opening it.-

Paula: Really? I'm sure the world thinks otherwise.

-A thought comes to her head-

Paula: Oh my gosh, I can't wait to hear Diane's reaction when she finds out you've been talking to yourself! That's gonna be so fun!

Rose: ...You know what, no. You're not real. You can't do anything. This is all some fucked up dream. You don't matter, and in just a moment, you're going to disappear and I can get some Arceusdamn sleep.

-Paula sits on the windowsill, grinning-

Paula: If you say so. I guess I'll go ahead and disappear now.

-She falls backward out of the window, pulling it closed on her way out.-

Rose: ...

-Rose collapses against the bed. Not even on it, she just kneels on the ground and leans against it.-

Egg Corridor (Previously)

-The rabid looking white Lopuny bounded out of sight with the darumaka-colored buneary slung over it's shoulder flailing in a vain attempt at freedom. Tori ran after the two, darting around a number of confused or irritated mon in her attempt to lose as little time as possible-

-The corridor ended at the base of a few joining buildings where the Lopunny stood at a doorway. He turned and growled as Tori approached-

Igor: <MUST PROTECT MASTER'S EGGS!>

Tori: "Well I've gotta-"

-Igor pounces at Tori, who jumps aside before the monstrous mon lands and backs away while pulling the borrowed gun from it's pocket-

Fine, guess we'll see if those outings paid off

-Tori took a breath and pulled the trigger, releasing a bolt of white light or energy. Igor growled as he's struck in the leg and turns to pounce again, taking a few more bolts to the chest before landing and punching. A flash of white appears just around Tori as she's struck and staggers a few paces back, fires again, and starts to run to put some distance between them-

-Igor gives chase for a few moments, then leaps, landing ahead of Tori and roaring before picking up boulders to throw at her. Tori skids to a stop, then jumps aside as the first boulder lands where she was moments before, then starts firing rapidly as Igor reaches and lifts another boulder over his head. One of the bolts strikes his paw, causing him drop the boulder and crash to the ground as the boulder lands on his head-

-Beat-

-Tori heaves a sigh of relief that the mon isn't moving, then starts looking around the area she wasn't authorized to enter. Inside one of the buildings the daru colored Buneary lay slumped on the floor, Tori rushed to it's side and gently shook her shoulder-

Tori: "Hey, wake up, are you-"

-Suddenly the buneary's eyes pop open, she immediate hops her feet and grabs a sack of bricks that had been lying at her feet-

Darubun: <Hey, I'm not out yet! I- Huh?>

-Realizing her opponent isn't in the room after all she pauses, then turns and sees Tori-

-Beat-

Tori: "Ignia?"

-The girl is instantly glomped-

Sunyshore Evacuee Camp

Volkner stands on the border.

Before him, the people of his city. Deprived of their homes in the Glitch attack, they now squat in grotty, quickly erected tents, the sort designed for use in wartime refugee camps. 50-odd metres in front of him, people jostle for space at a crowded food stall. The adults are restless, many angry and bellicose; the children are clinging to their parents of choice, still unable after three weeks to grasp what happened to their safe, comfortable homes. Even the Pokemon, whose speech he cannot understand, exude auras of impotent horror and rage. It is a truly sorry sight.

Behind him, Sunyshore. A thick pixelated fog completely obscures the city from view, with not even the shadows of buildings visible through its cloying density. He isn't stupid enough to have tried walking past this barrier. Why should he? Gut instinct alone tells him he won't find the Sunyshore he loves within. For all he knows, it doesn't even qualify as Sunyshore anymore.

Trying to distract himself from these somber observations, Volkner glances at his wristwatch. Unfortunately, this only succeeds in turning his melancholy into frustration.

"Arceus dammit, where are they?!"

Sunyshore Evacuee Camp

-there is the sound of flapping wings, before two trainers descend: Joseph and Munn hop off of their shiny Altaria. Munn regards the pixellated city with a frown, while Joseph looks pityingly upon the tents-

Munn: So, this is what we're up against?

Joseph: Oh, no...

Sunnyshore Evac Camp

-There's a cough from behind Volkner-

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I'm here. Sorry about the delay but there was some very urgent matters over Halloween that needed sorting too. Glitch infection of the populace over at Jubilife.

Ashen: ~Apologies for the delay, Herr Volkner. Glitch problems that necessitated cleaning up in Jubilife.~

Siobhan hops off of Gogmazios.

Siobhan: "Am I late?"

Dunyazade and Balthazar blip in.

Ashen looks around.

Ashen: ~Early, I'd say.~

She looks out to the pixelated sky of Sunyshore.

Ashen: ~Mein Arceus...~

Jubilife City, at Alyesha's Stand

Phaz: Yeah, i thought so... Well, I guess that if you like cooking... you're served. -he faintly laughs at his own joke-

Cynthia: ~So bad...~

Phaz: Oh come on. -looks at watch- Anyways, it's getting pretty late and I wanted to go back to Eterna before night. Cynthia, did you finished your food?

Cynthia: ~Yeah. It was delicious!~

Phaz: And you Embry?

Embry: <Yeah! Thanks for it, Miss Alyesha!>

Phaz: ...You left the bread.

Embry: <...It's not a plate?>

Phaz: ...No it's not.

Embry: <...Oh.> *munch-munch*

Phaz: ...Anyways, I'm going to leave. Thanks for the food and the moment all of you!

Jubilife, Alyesha's Stand

Alyesha did not comment on the joke although she had a faint smirk on her face, as she heard that everybody liked the food she chuckled.

Alyesha: "That's good to hear that everybody liked it. Have a safe trip and remember to come by again at some point."

-Etran looks around.-
