This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Is the standard for good sales rising or staying the same? I thought the 30K range was considered somewhat subpar for books to sell these days?
Honestly if your sales stabilize in the 30k region that's actually pretty good in this day and age. It's normally titled pulling in less than 20k that are in the dangerous region of getting axed.
How is the series? I love Black Cat, but I don't always like how she's written.
Haven't read it myself but I honestly I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Gwen just needs more stories in her world. Kingpin Matt is her best character.
Mileena MadnessThe Black Cat book is good up to the point Iβve read. It really leans into the crazy awesome side of Black Catβs life and living in a comic universe
Every couple issues Felicia does some bonkers thing and comments on how sheβd always wanted to do it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhat happened to Kingpin Matt anyway?
Is he meant to be Gwen's archenemy?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Black Cat is fantastic. Itβs the best Iβve seen her written, probably because she gets given a lot more character and agency as the lead character. Both the writing and art avert the usual male gaze that she usually seems to purely exist for as a supporting character, without doing away with the fact that sheβs obviously a very flirty character.
Plus itβs initially a series of two issues heists on the Baxter Building, Stark Tower, Madripoor etc and theyβre a lot of fun
Itβs about the furthest you can get from The Evil That Men Do, and thatβs a good thing
Just read that the Spider-Woman Devil's Reign tie-in for January will refocus on Jessica's abduction by the Skrulls in Secret Invasion
Also highlights her bisexuality in a really good, natural way.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Donβt know why they had to relaunch Black Cat despite it still being written by the same author.
Mac Kayβs run have made for a nice 25 issue run but itβs like Marvelβs scared of books hitting too high a double digit.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Black Cat is Bi?
So like Catwoman.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. So is Catman.
Apparently, cats are the sacred animals of bisexuals.
I didn't know her bisexuality was brought up in 616! I only remember her dating a woman in MC 2.
Her daughter was really into May.
You might be on to something there.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Yes, Felicia was established as Bi in the Spider-Girl comics, and Kevin Smith brought that into 616 continuity. Jed's series has seen her romance men and women.
Huh they really should compile like complete collections or omnibuses of all a villain's major stories.
Like say the Green Goblin saga detailing the entire rivalry Spider-Man has had with Norman and Harry. Certainly would have been useful for the end of the Kindred stuff since it heavily revolves around Harry's history.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."No issue of ASM out this week, but at least you get Dan Slott writing Peter again in today's Fantastic Four.
erm, Yay
Looks like the last one did pretty well.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Cindy's going to struggle with social media? The sliding timescale is going to be this premise's downfall.
Didn't Batgirl also get addicted to Twitter one time?
Social Media is depressing, good luck to Silk over that supervillain.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. There's something to be said that social media should just be ignored in comics.
I remember the early issues of the current Iron Man had Tony constantly checking his social media and always being bombarded by negativity for one reason or another.
Aside from seeing general derision towards those bits, yeah its just sad honestly.
Shit Tik Tok is basically a joke to the entire internet and I always cringe whenever I see a Tik Tok anything in anything.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Getting off Social Media is too simple for Comics.

Secret Signature
I can't believe the 2019 series is her first ongoing ever.
Thats genuinely surprising.
