This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

This is also the first alternate future where Aunt May has been able to see Peter and MJ's kid grow up, and towards the end, it's implied MJ might not be dead, and is being kept in stasis by Cadavorous

There's also DeFalco's The Real Clone Saga, miniseries.

Yeah, I was being careful with my words
It's not the first May to see Peter and MJ's child, but the first to see one grow to adolescence. Mayday was just born in Real Clone Saga.

This is basically the same setup as Spider-Girl
Forever liveblogging the AvengersExcept done worse.
Dressed to Kill.So what I'm getting from this is I should just stick to Renw Your Vows, Life Story and Spider-Girl.
I fart in Abrams' general direction.
My various fanfics. This whole situation is kinda bizarre, TBH. Hyping up what amounts to a glorified elseworld, just because it’s written by a famous director’s kid.
Edited by megaeliz on Sep 18th 2019 at 2:03:56 PM
It's written by a famous director and his son. Abrams isn't just putting his name on it, apparently, but he's actually co-writing it.
I believe JJ admitted in one of the promotional materials that his son is doing most of the actual writing, though.
To change the subject to something more pleasant, is anyone planning to pick up FNSM this week?
This week’s issue is pretty fun, even if it’s mostly set up. It also promises a Fantastic Four Team Up, which is always fun.

Things are heating up in absolute carnage. carnage disguises himself as Eddie and sneaks into where the heroes are holed up and Eddie wants to leave to make sure his son if safe and carnage says he wants to do the same thing and takes over some nerd who carnage kills instantly. Cue the nerd turning out to be banner with venom hulk making carnage actually frightened for once
Changing the topic, what would be your ideal line up for the possible Spider-Woman movie spinoff of Spider-Verse?
Obviously Spider-Gwen would be in it, but who else would you like to see. (I would love to see Mayday make her onscreen debut.)

Silk is an obvious gimme, you can probably throw Arana and Spiderling in there. I'd like Spinneret for the strong Mom energy but Spider-Ma'am is more likely. Spiderling and Spider-Ma'am are supposed to appear in one of the upcomming tie in comics aren't they?

In terms of the Movie-Verse, I’m still holding out hope that Annie will be Peter B’s daughter, which is why I went for Mayday instead.
Edited by megaeliz on Sep 18th 2019 at 8:10:45 AM
Silk, Julia, Jessica and Anya. Assuming we aren't just limited to Gwen and two other characters.
Also Penny is confirmed already right?
Looks like Friendly Neighbourhood is cancelled, it's not solicited.
. apparently, FNSM was actually extended beyond the original plan
something else that’s silly about the Abrams comic.
Spider-Man is friends with people like Reed Richards, and the best he can do is a hook hand? Even Spider-Gave him a proper functional prosthetic leg.
Edited by megaeliz on Jan 23rd 2020 at 12:07:31 PM
In Spider-Girl Peter started with a more simpler prosthetic and only asked Reed to make him a more complicated one when he thought he’d be returning to the field due to lack of faith in his daughter
Hook hand is a bit much though

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI mean, we're talking about a universe where people couldn't fix a bullet wound.
It’s like, your actual job in the video game was developing better Prosthetic limbs! You’re smarter than that Pete!

Look, he likes the angry pirate look, okay! It's the only thing he has left that brings him joy.
so it’s definitely not 616 then
also, we’re really going with the old trope of throwing woman off of bridges again, just to prove stakes? Not cool Abrams.
