- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Glad to see everyone liked Amazing Spider-Man #1 as much as I did! Spencer didn't handle the Secret Empire backlash well at all but he's more than that and a he's a great writer. Though I'm sure there will be ups and downs, I'm so happy to see Mary Jane and Peter back together, he's just a better character when she's around and not so much of a No-Respect Guy.
This week seems to be a gift for Spidey fans, as in the newspaper strip sees a troubled Peter decides to phone MJ and talk to her about the guilt he's feeling over exposing Iron Fist. MJ tells him he's more worried by the fact he wasn't comfortable with revealing his identity to Danny. Peter teases his wife asking how she can read minds over the phone.

Interesting. Also, not sure whether referenced in-comic, but I detected a subtle change in the Superior Octopus costume when reading Scans of Amazing 800 and also note the same here. It seems decidedly less Hydra-y, both in terms of the chest logo as well as substituting green for white. Although as far as the latter goes, from Google Images, it seems like there has been some Depending on the Artist on that score to begin with.

Yeah, how's about we wait a few issues before we start praising Spencer too much.
People thought his "Sam Wilson: Captain America" book was gonna be good by looking at the just first couple issues, and that book ended up being awful.
