The Grand List of Stock RP Rules

I figured that, seeing as a few threads I've been in have been terrorized by people not knowing the general rules of R Ping, that we could establish some rules that are normally agreed upon across all threads. Some of these may be humorous ways of actually describing serious rules.

• No God Moding. You know, your characters need to give as much hurt as they get.
• The Spotlight-Stealing Squad will be murdered by their fellow players.
• Mary Sues will also be murdered by their fellow players
• It's generally bad form to kill another Player Character without their consent.
• Also incredibly bad form to control another Player Character.
• Unless you have more than half the thread backing you within a few days, don't argue with the G Ms. Rookie G Ms: Pay attention to the first part.
• Only jump into the RP once you get the go-ahead from the GM.
• The Massive Multi Fandom RP updates at ~ 1 page every 15 minutes.

Anything else? I'd suggest that we sticky this. And, before anyone pooh-poohs this being in the Signups section, I put it here because the new players would logically come here first to join an RP.

Maybe a word on derailing would be beneficial too? I.E posting in such a manner to force the storyline by taking a radically different path. Such swerves should be reserved for the DM, and even the DM should use it carefully. Also, hijacking, but I guess that's kind of covered by the Mary Sue bit, since one of the most defining and persistent Sue trait basically is making the entire story be about them and only them .

Perhaps a "Keep the Shout-Out level low in OCs (and in general)" rule, as it can get annoying when every other action requires knowing the series it's from.
