I'm interetsed in Maiden's effect as she is both cute and seems like splashable Link fodder/disruption for Aromage and (to a lesser extent) Rikka
Come to think of it, a Aromage/Sunavalon hybrid could be interesting with the trees and Healer proccing the mages effects.(and Angel Trumpeter being another option that can go into Rosemary or a Sunvine Link)

Speaking of Maidens, I'd love to see other dragons have their Maiden counterparts too. Maiden of Stardust, Maiden with Galactic Eyes, etc.

I think Maiden with eyes of Blue was meant to be Kisara as a card, and as such an equvalent for the other Eyed dragons would be difficult (before anyone brings up Zuzu I'd kinda want her to be a Pen-Magician that also supports Melodius instead and have equivalents for her counterpart and their decks as well as Yuya and his and theirs,)

Or maybe the other way around. I'd love to see some synergy between Mai and Joey's decks! Even if it's "Harpie's Pet Red-Eyes Dragon", but it could be extended further, especially in keeping with the potential of Red-Eyes:
Joey's Baby Dragon line is already WIND monsters. Plus Baby Dragon and Harpie Lady were enemies in their first duel, so the imagery could be the two of them warming up to each other. Having the dragons be Harpie's Pets would also fit with the Harpie's domme aesthetic. They could all just resemble Joey's cards with the Pet Dragon masks and collars on.

I actually think his Warrior monsters could be synergized with each other, by being turned into Equip cards specifically to equip to a "Gearfried" or "Sword Hunter" monster. Equips were an early part of his and Mai's strategies, and was his strategy in the Waking the Dragons arc. Turning his monsters into equip cards was already done with some of his Red-Eyes cards in real life.

I just find the idea of Mai being reduced to purely support for Joey.dek to be another in a long line of injustices done to the charterer (most of which tended to be poor execution in Doma, but still)

Oh I totally get, and agree with that. So my pitch instead was for Joey cards to support Mai's decks. Plus it makes more sense, since Mai's cards actually have a strategy to them.
Eff it. I'm definitely gonna work on an archetype for Joey's cards. I don't know what the shared name of the archetype support will be, but it may wind up being "Gilti-Gear". No, I don't know if it's intended to be a reference to Guilty Gear, which isn't even owned by Konami.

I wonder if the Wights' effect were the result of someone in the OCG noticing what the original Wight was localized as?

I'm pretty sure the effects are similar in the OCG. Skull Servant is "Wight" in Japanese, so the OCG versions of the cards probably say "This card’s name becomes "Wight" while in the GY."

Simply put, they're giving translations that use the TCG names where possible, but otherwise are still accurate. We have a very different way of writing how you can only use exactly one of many effects on a card per turn. OCG uses more text, but imo, it's much less confusing.

I ask because I'm aware that the OCG name of the vanilla is "Wight" and also because under normal scenarios the support for an archetype would specify the archetype itself "Wight" in this case and the current mechanics of cards treating themselves as Skull Servant seems to be a workaround to needing an Name errata (rare in and of itself) or an Archtype Clause.
Of curse I forgot that the vanilla wasn't the card with a Dub Name change and that the other Skull servant-named card specifically listed the vanilla.
