[up]which was Yuri again? I feel I should know, but I seem to have forgotten.

She's the girl with glasses in New Beginning. First girl with glasses for a handheld Harvest Moon since... well, are there any diehard Vaughn fangirls around currently? I can't speak her name with them around.

I think if I get that game, I'll go for Mikhael. Thankfully, for a "special" partner, he is remarkably free of restrictions and rigmarole. Just the standard "You can't see his affection" thing.

[up][up] Mary from Fo MT? At least I think she's wearing classes in that game.

So I currently started up Fo MT to see where I left off and completely forgot my little in-game schedule. So now not only am I unable to do anything (easily) without my shoulder buttons but I now don't know what I should be doing. tongue

All I recall is giving a gift to Elli each day, giving medicine and bread to her grandmother. At least it's almost the end of the season so I won't lose too much profit from crops.

No, she isn't Mary. But she is as hated as the one I'm about to speak of.

The girl I was talking about is Sabrina.

http://www.fogu.com/hm8/villagers/sabrina.php

One of the cutest, in my opinion, but was unlucky to be paired up with Vaughn.

http://www.fogu.com/hm8/villagers/vaughn.php

What can I say about him? He's a bishie, he's a white-haired pretty boy, he's anti-social, he looks like a stereotypical bad boy... He's the Edward of the Harvest Moon world, though thankfully, NOT a sparkly vampire. He's the Duncan of the Harvest Moon world. Pretty much, all the girls want him.

And you can guess how much hate poor Sabrina gets... Heck, even Maya has fans, me being one of them.

[up] Oh, I meant that Mary was the first (?) bachelorette to have glasses. I know who Sabrina is, as she tried to steal Vaughn from my sister in her file on IoH. tongue

It's okay, Sabrina. I still love you, anyway...

But thanks to her hate, there wasn't any meganekko characters on the DS games until New Beginning's Yuri.

Maybe they were waiting for everything to cool down? So they don't have another repeat of what Sabrina went through?

Or maybe they were just bored with taking moe shortcuts and wanted to try harder at making the characters themselves appealing through more subtle methods?

BHAHAHAHA...no.

EDIT: yeah, okay, that was a pretty lame thing to say.

Not sure if this applies to Fo MT but in BTN Cliff starts saying things about how he's running low on money and might have to leave during early Autumn.

He says something like that in FoMT, he's just less specific about when he's going to leave (which may lead to some people not realizing he's serious).

Bad boys schamd boys. I always go for the Adorkable one. Although I do have a noted fondness for glasses, as only one of my husbands across the series has 20/20 vision. If they'd less me dress up my spouse along with my kids, that could be remedied, though. :P

I've done most everything in TOT, now I'm just waiting to have a kid. So, since I don't feel like playing through the repetitiveness of the waiting game right now, I'm going to start Animal Parade. I had a list of likes and dislikes for TOT, but my brain has gone blank. While there were a few things I don't like, overall I think it's a great HM game. Time to see how AP holds up!

[up]x4 I think there's an event in Fo MT where he mentions it or says he needs a job. I recall somehow stumbling along and getting him to stay.

[up][up]Gill. I'll probably marry him in AP too.

Oh, and AP is pretty. The graphics are so detailed, though they're a bit rough when you move.

Edit: [down] I plan to do a run for Calvin and possibly Owen. Also I kind of wish Bo was a bachelor. He's adorable.

Man, this is making me want to start that New Game Plus on AP. I just keep futzing around with my old file, but I love it so... And yeah, I love AP's graphics. I love how detailed the interiors are... I took some great photographs of some of the pretty interiors.

I think wooing Candace with the second Wiimote enabled is possibly the fastest it's possible to get married in the series. I think you can start giving her her favorite item, Herbal Tea, as early as the second game day if you don't mind blowing the cash on a Pot.

[up] Is AP a good game? I've been thinking of playing a console HM game for some time but I'm not sure if I should get HM64 or AP. Is AP more similar to the traditional HM gameplay or is it like the newer games?

Also I just saw that there is a pre-order bonus for HM:ANB which is a Yak for pre-ordering at GameStop and a Cow if you order from Natsume's website. It'd be awesome to get the Cow if only they shipped to Canada.

It is a good game.

However, I would also try out Harvest Moon 64, if you get the chance to get your hands on it.

Yeah, I've been watching HM64 videos on Youtube and it reminds me of HM SNES with a little bit of Fo MT. I guess if I get the chance to get it, I'll buy it.

HM 64 was my fist HM game, so it'll always have a special place for me. My bias self recommends it.

As for how I'm liking AP, well, it's like it took everything I liked about TOT and made it better. I'm also enjoying the longer days; it's nice to not have to rush.

Isn't it generally considered the one that really got the series going? And yeah, it's one of only two HM games I'd played before Tale of Two Towns. Lot of fun. Don't think I ever got past year 7 in my longest running file. Wasn't much to do anymore.

64 was the one I always wanted, but never got. And it's one of the rarer 64 games in general, meaning I never did get to play it.

My friend had it (not sure if she still does). Got me addicted to the series.

Edit: So I'm having an issue. Apparently I was supposed to get a cow from Cain, but that never happened. How do I trigger it?
