Well, i still think any news about Smash Bros is too early now, but some form of Kirby news is still possible, if somewhat unlikely.

I'd be down for some Kirby news but I don't think we'll get any. Which is fine by me if it means the next game is going to be spectacular (I hope).

Well the only first party news we’ve got was Cadence of Hyrule DLC

Honestly I don’t get my hopes up every single Direct. Kirby Fans had a lot given to them.

Anyone know where you can buy those mugs with Kirby and Waddle Faces on them? I've seen them around but don't know where they are.

An interesting Kirby villain would be one that essentially a darker version of Kirby: a villain whose goal is to stop the universe from collapsing... at the expense of Popstar and Kirby's friends.

I mean Kirby isn't exactly sacrificing foreign innocents to get his job done. A more fitting "Darker Kirby" will be one that just outrights kill everything it considers "Evil" regardless of atonement.

You think a future game will follow up on the apparent connection between Void and Kirby or will it go unaddressed like most other final bosses?

It may or may not be addressed, the newer games do tend to keep referencing old bosses through lore texts, mainly because few dialogues are used in the games themselves

Yo, I recently said that another Kirby Fighters would be dope just a few pages back! Man, I hope it's not just another half-assed spin-off, a legit Kirby fighting game, with the gameplay of Smash Bros and good production quality, could easily take off and actually get popular with the fighting game community.

Just saying, I would lose my mind if Kirby Fighters 2 made it to EVO.

It's listed at the $20 price point, so I doubt Nintendo put "next big thing" levels of energy into it. It's possible that they might accidentally make another Melee, but chances are it'll just be to Star Allies what the original Kirby Fighters was to the 3DS Kirbies.

It's nice to have, at least, and at 20 bucks, it's affordable to me in my current situation.

Also I find it funny that searching "Wrestler Kirby Nintendo" gets either articles about Nintendo leaking the game, or articles about an actual wrestler geeking out over a Kirby plush.

There are quite a few smaller fighting games out there with devoted and competitive fanbases. Granted, most of those are indies doing the best with what they can, not cheap spin-offs from large franchises, so it's not quite the same thing, but still.

I do highly doubt it'll be anything more than a fun little spin-off, definitely nothing worth building a fighting game community around, but it looks neat.

Apparently Kirby Fighters Deluxe already has an extremely small community, so I'd be shocked if this game didn't get anything.
