I see. That does make sense, as do Strength and Fool
@fredhot Magia Record/Persona mashups NVM, missed the comma.

On the flip side, the Nanoha event is what I've been hoarding for.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. It's a weirdly unpredictable situation, because this is an import so we know most of what's going to come out, but it's been coming very quickly and out of order. They might do Madokami as a Christmas thing for all we know. Plus they said to expect some NA-exclusive characters, and any of those could turn out to be OP and/or from something I've actually watched.
I did already get Darc, though with only one slot, so probably wouldn't get a whole lot of use out of Fate for the "try not to accidentally challenge a whale in Endless Mirrors" minigame.
NA-exclusive characters, huh? Calling it now, we're getting a blonde in a red-white-and-blue outfit with the power to summon eagles.
I would've been hoarding for this had I not ragequit soon after launch because I didn't need another gacha mocking me on top of Fate/Grand Order.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I just finished Puella Magi Tart Magica. As with Madoka, many manly tears were shed.
(Also, is it bad that I ship Tart/Melissa now?)
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.So the Madoka panel at Anime NYC just happened, and the audience got to watch the first two episodes of the Magia Record anime (the Japanese event a couple of months ago only had the first episode). I wasn't there but I did hear a couple of interesting details about the anime. I'll put them in spoilers
- Basically it goes right through the Breakup Staircase rumor arc, it was apparently really good animation-wise though I also heard that it might feel a bit rushed. The part with the rumormonger minion things was apparently cool.
- Ren makes a cameo in the second episode, Rena transforms into her while running away from Iroha. I guess that confirms that the non-main story characters will be making appearances.
Also they revealed an NA-exclusive magical girl, coming in 2020. She's cute.
Fight for something, even if its meaningless. Also getting some cook-off event for Thanksgiving. Which seems to have the purpose of seeing if the Supreme Chefs can mitigate the effects of the Lethal Chefs. :P.
BTW I've been wondering, are there any girls you're saving Stones for besides Ultimate Madoka?
None in particular, unless I'm forgetting someone. Glassesless Homura, maybe. Or whatever the NA-only ones are. I'm just at the point where I can handle most of the battles and clearly can't get anywhere near all the characters without throwing money at them, so it seems better to wait for something interesting to pop up.
The one thing I don't get about the NA-only characters is... will they have voice acting? And if so, in what language? Maybe it depends whether they're going to be from Symphogear or, like, RWBY or something (bleh), but doing Japanese lines exclusively for an English-speaking audience would be pretty bizarre. But all the current characters have voiced lines, so... hm.
I think any NA-excusive megucawill be done froma "Timed exclusive" standpoint ifthey aren't collaberations, and thus would be available for the JP side eventually, in which case the two options would be to have them have Japanese dialogue and dubbing the game (the former is more likely for obvious reasons, but the latter might be possible if the anime gets a dub)
PSA for anyone else that didn't notice: there are 100 gems for sale in the support point shop, of all places, expiring in 2 days. Don't know what that's about, but basically free gems.
...well, stones, technically. Have always called them gems.

Alright, just got my big brother (petroleum engineer who's working in Japan right now) to say he'll watch the show later if, in December, I watch Dr. Stone.
I'm also going to try to introduce the show to my other big brother tomorrow night if he's not too tired.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Your brother has nice taste.
For those of you playing Magia Record, or for that matter those of you avoiding it because fuck gacha games, here's a compilation of youtube links for every NA girl's personal story.
There's some neat shit in those, and now gacha luck cannot keep you from it.

Alright, my sister and I just decided that we're going to be watching the movie together next month when I come over to Nevada so we're going to be experiencing Rebellion for the first time together.
As usual, reactions will be posted here.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Okay the first Xmas event is live on Magia Record's NA server. I kinda have a feeling Felicia's "bah humbug" attidue is related to her dead parents. Also is it just me or does Rena have a case of Hidden Buxom?
It's a little bit less obvious due to Ume Aoki's artstyle, but its clear from Rena's transformation sequence that she has a generous chest.
Fight for something, even if its meaningless.Part 2 of the first Christmas event. You know, Its kinda funny how context makes Holy Mami...kinda a Bad Santa.
Also I forgot to mention, but that Sana has no concept of Christmas is kinda telling. Her MGS already established her to be The Unfavorite to "Where the HELL is CPS?" degrees, but this kinda makes me wonder if the Futabas even cared for her at all before that point.

Sana's parents are the best candidates to be fed to a Witch. I'd like to think that sometime after Sana went to Mikazuki Villa, the rest of Nanami-ke "accidentally" let her parents fall into a labyrinth.
Fight for something, even if its meaningless.Me and my mom finally made it to episode 8. She got the Faust connection down at the end of Episode 6. She's pretty good at literature, considering the fact she majored in it. She also seemed pretty shocked at the whole Magical Girl = Larval Witches thing.
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.Hey, a fellow guide of unsuspecting marks into the world of Magical Girls and Witches!
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.TBH the "larval" part might be more...literal(ish). As an anology of sorts. The girl that contracts becomes both Caterpillar and Cocoon (as she becomes the Soul Gem that pilots her former body), the Witch would be what breaks out of the cocoon, a Metamorphosed version of the girl.

Nana wills it. Also Madokami is in the first anniversary so there's enough for pity counter if you do all the side stories by then.
Edit: Well, it's been a while since I got page-topper. Still, Nana wills it.
