It's its own trope somewhere. I think it is Divided States of America or something.
Fight smart, not fair.Do you mean post Civil War?
Timeline-191 is the first thing to come to mind if a Southern Victory scenario is on-topic.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.post-civil war, but re. the other guy - I've read Balkanize Me and Divided Statesof America before
WHASSUP....... ....with lolis!Srsly, you are the only person who cares about balkanization.
hey man, I have a right to dream......and write fiction about my dreams and flesh them out about destroying the old world xD
besides, there's a decent amount of alternate history on stuff like that....ive been on the alternate history wikis and forums.... :P
WHASSUP....... ....with lolis! It's very hard to pull off convincingly, though. I personally doubt that the Confederacy could have survived for a very long time unless they received significant aid from the British.
Without Warning(?) and After America feature a scenario where a "Wave" wipes out most of the continental US, Canada, Mexico, and Cuba. Only Alaska, Hawaii, and a third of Washington were untouched (and since it takes place in '03 the armies in Iraq and Afgahnistan are still ou ther as well) and from there the surviving population tries to resettle the dead states again. Problems arise from radical seperatist in Texas and pirates and jihadist in New York, not to mention local warlords and robbers trying to ruin the successful recolonization of Missouri.
I remember seeing this novel that dealt with four states threatening to secede over water rights, I think the southeast USA. There's also 8.5 & how the governor of Kentucky raised arms against the federal government to keep them from detonating nuclesr weapons in the state, etc.
DO people here have stuff that deals with the premise of secessionist states or whatnot?
Alternate History counts too
