Super Smash Bros.

I'm especially against Echo Fighters when they have potential to be a unique character, but Paper Mario as a Game & Watch Echo is something that not only doesn't make sense, but I think it would actively take more work than it does someone like Daisy. What moves and animations does Paper Mario even have that would correlate with Game & Watch's?

Besides, as someone who loves the first three Paper Mario games and wants to see that version of Mario in a Smash game, I'd feel insulted if he was just thrown in haphazardly as an Echo Fighter.

I'm just saying that I could possibly see them including Paper Mario as G&W echo, not that the necessarily would or should. Nobody has to get defensive over the suggestion.

Just because it can be suggested doesn't mean it makes any sense. Like suggesting Primarina as an echo of Jigglypuff, of all characters.

Echo Fighters are meant to be characters who could theoretically play exactly identical to their original, not characters with a single similarity.

Unless people are suggesting to compress Primarina into a small blue ball, it ain't happening.

I was daydreaming and I imagined Kerrigan was one of the new characters added to smash bros,her announcement was proceeded by Zerglings overrunning the stage

solely because Starcraft was ported to the n64,granted it's a fairly obscure bit of Triva,but it would be fun for Nintendo to acknowledge

Mew might be a fun Pichu-esque Mewtwo semi-clone. Going by the games, despite being smaller Mew should actually be much heavier and more balanced than Mewtwo, which might be a fun twist on a smaller version of a character. Maybe swap out a couple of Mewtwo's moves that don't make sense on Mew, and change the Final Smash from Mega Mewtwo Y using Psystrike to Genesis Supernova.

Mewtwo echoes all the time, y'know, with telepathy.

The next fighter announced will be Mewtwotwo, an echo fighter that's a psychic projection from Mewtwo. He'll function very similarly, but as a little innovative, gamechanging twist, he'll be slightly transparent.

Out of curiosity, and I know whatever new announcements follow shouldn't be 100% expected at any particular time, but are there any upcoming events / showcases where any announcements would possibly be made? I'm not up to date with Nintendo.

Mew moveset.

A semi-clone of Mewtwo, Mew is weaker and slower than Mewtwo, but it's also smaller and heavier. More of a balance of defense and offense than Mewtwo is. Mews moves are roughly the same as Mewtwo, but with more of a playful happy attitude.

Shadow Ball is replaced with Aura Sphere, which is just a weaker version of Lucario's. Teleport stays. Confusion is replaced with Psychic, which does more damage but doesn't leave the enemy open for follow-ups, instead just knocking them away. Disable is replaced with Me First, a counter move.

Mew's Final Smash is Genesis Supernova.

I don't know what gave you the idea we were trying to turn Primarina into Sonic

Mega Charizard-X as a Charizard echo to placate people who want solo Zard.

People who want to play solo Zard can... yknow, do that. No more stamina penalties means they can just stay on Zard as much as they want.

As long as Charizard flies I'm happy

I hope as Pokémon Trainer we're able to start the match as any one of the 3 Pokémon, instead of having to always start as Squirtle.

In Melee and Brawl, you could start the match as Sheik / Zero Suit Samus respectively by holding down the A button iirc. But since Pokémon Trainer has 3 Pokémon instead of 2 then I'm not sure how it would work.

It would be nice if you had the option of playing as either Pokémon Trainer or as one of the three individual Pokémon (in the latter scenario, forfeiting the ability to switch for a fourth special). I doubt they would do that, though...

In Brawl, you can start as any of the 3 Pokemon as Pokemon Trainer. After selecting Trainer, click on the portrait of Squirtle, Charizard, or Ivysaur to play as them at start. That changes the character's name to that pokemon's name, on the select portrait.

I wonder, will Pokemon Trainer have the same final smash as in Brawl, or will each pokemon have their own final smashes?
